uuuugggghhhhhh Tango de Roxanne ugghhhh nooooooooo If any music should be banned for overuse it's Tango de bloody Roxanne -
Wonder if it would make his 3F go to hell.... I guess it'll depend on where it is in the program and how long he gives himself to transition from one jump to the next, what steps he has before etc. I dunno about LGC but I got the feeling at least part of the problem with the 4s3t in H&L was he really wanted to do it right on the musical accent but it was such a narrow window to get the 4s lined up and in the air he ended up rushing to it and making errors, when he compromised and had the jump a little after the music accent he was trying for the combo was fine... Just a feeling I got, I don't think he's really discussed why the 4s3t was giving him bother this season, but towards the end it also seemed he'd get too in his head stressing about the combo and mess it up as a result...I don't know if he would have the same problems in new programs...depends on if he can mentally wipe the slate clean.

*tried to vote for 7 things* ughhhh this is so hard because I love LGC, it's so fun and shows what a good performer he is (and kicks anyone who says he's 'cold' in the face) but~ it hasn't had a totally clean performance and the end of the season was pretty bad because he got so focused on the jumps and frustrated with them the overall performance/energy suffered... Notte Stellata is so gorgeous it could have had no jumps at all and the delayed single axel gets me every time. Chopin is just...perfect music and the final product was just...perfect because he had time to really work with it Seimei still gives me goosebumps. I've watched it a million times but the step sequence and the choreographic sequence give me shivers. But I also love POTO even tho it was a cursed season, the 2nd costume and the way he performed and the music cuts...to me its such an iconic program because he made the music his own... And PW was the program that got me into Yuzu and figure skating! He defied expectations of what I thought figure skating was and was so charming and engaging And RJ1 is like...iconic Fighter! Yuzu....again he made the music so his own anytime another skater using RJ music I can only think of his program... Agh choosing 2 is so hard! My vote goes to...Seimei and POTO. If I could vote for a 3rd I'd chose either RJ1 or PW. I feel bad for not choosing a SP. This is like being asked to pick with child you love the most

same haha I thought Shoma's LP this season was maybe the best out of all the men >> He just needs to work on his technique because his jumps/landings often make me cringe -
Off camera? Yeah Shoma is nowhere close to as good with media/audiences as Yuzu. Yuzuru just naturally has all the makings of a huge star (talent, drive, personality, intelligence, ability to deal with the media, good at speaking, charm, looks...) but Shoma at least has charisma when performing :P And he has charm it's just an awkward kind of charm  But it seems JSF is focusing everything on Marin and just building Shoma up through skating/results/setting him up as Yuzu's rival (boo) but not really looking at junior men and nurturing a new star early. I guess they are just hoping another Daisuke or Yuzuru will just happen naturally without them really paying attention to anyone in particular :nah:

I would like Grande Polonaise as a SP if he does go for Chopin again. I think the combo of a softer Sp and a strong/dramatic LP works well for him. If paired with a fun ex it shows all the sides of his skating - artistic and graceful, dramatic and powerful, fun/high energy/flirty (haha). Considering how Chopin/Seimei is still considered his strongest season I wonder if he might go for a similar combo even if he doesn't go for seimei-esque LP music, but opting for programs with a similar feeling (though different enough to stand alone and not be overtly compared, though no matter what avoiding comparison is difficult if not impossible). He can pull off anything though :P

i'm honest to god giggling at the idea of yuzu doing Toccata & Fugue with some dark vampiric costume cuz you know he'd have black mesh and lace and sparkles worked in and he's skate with that serial killer look on his face and female fans across the world would goddamn die.

i dont really see anything posted there so i dont think its active

btw the picture of Yuzu looking casual and cool while throwing his leg up into the air after a 3A is my fave. You know he is doing it right out the just and he's on ice throwing his leg up to his head but his face is like 'whatever, no big deal, i can do this in my sleep'

Han Yan seems to be recovering okay but idk, he's going to have a lot of his practice time cut. Boyang is showing good progress, he has the jumps and it's a good sign that he's working on his weaknesses in PCS to be a bit more well-rounded. If he is keeping his SP I just hope his FS is something that compliments his personality. Zijun is plated so dirty and I don't understand it. Justice for Zijun.

I want to see more 4lz because that deep ass edge in the practice was so pleasing I don't want him to keep prince....i did but now i don't. It's great when he's feeling it but when he can't get the jumps and hes frustrated the entire program collapses because it needs a light atmosphere. If he could do it perfect at the olympics, sure, but I don;t really know where else LGC can go other than clean...

I'm still hoping Boyang will keep Spiderman! I'm not tired and seeing his shimmy. I hope he embraces that fun, cute, charming kinds of programs are his strength, he won over a lot of people with his programs last season. his fun personality is what i love most about boyang that and his fantastic jumps! not sure about if he's keeping his programs or not i hope he gets some good choreography because while his FS was good (because of his personality and jumps), i felt that it was a bit dry and not as engaging as his spiderman program was I hope so too! I really like Boyang (I am team Boyang for Podium at olympics haha I hope he gets an olympic medal) -

Its under Board Index, on the bottom. If you can't see it then let Hydro know. I don't see it  I think you need to PM Hydro for her to enable you to view it.

I dunno if anyone has yet but it might be better to give ourselves a little time to get things running before we promote? like we have people working on reposting stuff from the old thread archives and setting up bio/info pages and designing themes and setting up threads on different sections so we know what sorta stuff goes where etc. It might be better to promote after we've settled and some of that stuff is at least started :P

Yeah one thing I think we all love about Yuzu is that he's never boring, and always looks great no matter what he chooses. I personally think this is a very visual sport, yes skaters are doing a lot of difficult things on ice, but what attracts fans to them first and foremost are still their looks. Which is the reason why I couldn't really hold my attention for a lot of other bland skaters who value masculinity a bit too much and go for very basic costumes (that look like training gears) What's to excite casual viewers if everything's all black and boring?? I mean, if there is one thing you can count on with Yuzu, it's that you'll never look at his costume and think 'oh, he's wearing the same outfit as X' (Patrick and Javi twinning for the sp :smile )

I'd quite like for him to go all out and have a costume as full of sparkles and embellishment as Requiem, though maybe with a different shape and colour theme. The detailing on Requiem was absolutely stunning and while it was A Lot it didn't overpower him or look messy. So many men go for similar kinds of outfits (bland), it'd be nice for Yuzu to stand out with something striking and memorable (like Phantom striking not...Notre Dame gouge-your-eyes-out)
