thank you @Veveco and everyone who helped set up everything I've done the poll but I'll take a bit more time for the form ('cause as always I'm writing wall-texts, so I need to do some serious cutting LOL) ahhhh choosing top 3 fave costumes and programs is always painful I feel bad for leaving out some of themI love you Swanyu bb, I'm so sorry that I couldn't pick you too btw, I was thinking that these days not many satellites seem to be online (since no competitions or iceshows with Yuzu), I hope everyone can see the thread, is there a way to have some kind of link in the homepage so everyone can see it? @sallycinnamon @Hydroblade (sorry you're the staff I see online atm)

argh I have almost missed the anniversary HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE PLANET! may all of us keep having fun and being just as extra as our fave space kitten for a long long time! thank you, mods and admins, for keeping this place nice and cozy, and thank you to all satellites for making this place special and warm and a little bit crazy also, how nice that on this day we also had the monument unveiling all according to the plan? glad to know I wasn't the only one hey, that ticket popping up with fierce!Zu in that pose would suit the music amazingly (I had never thought gates opening could look that epic!) Me, me!!! should I add it to our Planet glossary? hopefully there will be many more cycles of happiness!!! (and less cycles of ranting)

Tbh it's unclear to me if he means "cleanly by ISU standard" "with quality I deem worthy" or just "land it in competition"... Maybe more translations and input from satellites who speak japanese can give us more insights I find the final bit interesting, it sounds to me as: he will bring Nessie to comp, that's what he's aiming to, and he hopes to be the first one to get it ratified...but regardless, he wants that jump...I suppose he knows about those wtt attempts😅 guys I'm laughing at my autocorrect changing wtt in wtf can't say it's wrong tbh I'm impressed at him being so aware of many things happening in the world - France, Taiwan...Yes those are big news reported internationally, but it feels like those news weren't just "something happening somewhere to someone else", he has linked them to his own experience and Tohoku and focused on the efforts to help and rebuild
-
Wow I'm on podium congrats to gold and bronze! And it looks like I've jinxed skaters again Those were nice surprised tho Thank you @Old Cat Lady for the game! I had fun running my calculations (and feeling smug when I got them right)😤

It's that time of the year - coaching changes 2019/2020
EisElle replied to Fay's topic in Knickknacks: General Skating Chat
RE: Tarakanova Sad that the split happened like this - and why can't the supposed adult behave professionally? Plushenko sounds like the only one throwing a tantrum... Well, Nastya's reply makes me admire her even more. Respectful but not cowed. I hope she can find a suitable training environment... after jr Nats she probably felt very disappointed in herself, and after Plushenko's comment I was very very worried, but now I'm hopeful, in her message it sounds like she isn't giving up at all, she still wants to keep going and as a fan it makes me selfishly happy Crossing everything for her Me too -
Guess the New Programs! (and win nothing if you do)
EisElle replied to Yatagarasu's topic in Yuzuru Hanyu
It's only sad that both F and Lz add burden to his right ankle, so, while those would offer a competitive advantage, he has that big limitation too, additional risks skaters with more healthy ankles don't have atm. Predictions: Since I'm greedy, I'd like if Yuzu had a new set of programs, so gonna say: SP upbeat with fast stsq that will make me wonder once more "how on earth he doesn't trip?". I may or may not be rooting for a tango or spanish guitars or full rockstar mode FS some soundtrack, with some big moments for jumps but many breathing moments (more than in Origin, so he has energy for the jumps and for getting those level 4) and a dramatic crescendo towards the end. Ideally I'd like to see jumps more distributed like H&L with chsq or another spin to separate jumps. Maybe he could go for SE in his chsq, since judges like them (and his SE are beautiful), a stag leap or sit twizzles, 'cause I like themand IB into final jump like he planned to do with first Origin layout. You know, the funny thing is that Yuzu was doing exactly what many seem to wish - use his signature IB and hydroblade as transitions, add new things like leaps and sit twizzles and new spins, have a different chsq -- but ACI was what it was, and I'm not only talking about zen!Yuzu saying bye bye, but in general other people and judges not being impressed --. So tbh while I wish for those changes idk if it would make things better for him from a scoring point. (Also, I still count Origin chsq as starting at least from after 3F3T, because there's virtually no break there and the combo is a transition...And no one will persuade me to change idea) Idk if we can expect long spirals from Yuzu, long SE/besti squats are IMO more likely. I'd like to see him end his program with stsq once, instead of a spin (actually, a tango or rock sp would be perfect for that...) Back to predictions: At least one program will have japanese music. Taiko drums would be lovely, or more japanese composers, or it could be that he keeps HYK -
I like this idea, since there were so many skaters who meant a lot in Yuzuru's skating journey Though maybe it would be hard to watch the whole event... Also, ngl, I'd also like to also watch Yuzuru skate...it could be a theme, pick one Yuzuru program to watch after one group...something linked to that group...tho I guess it would be hard to find links outside the obvious Plushenko&Weir +Jeff. For example, which program could we associate with Stephane? For Shizuka maybe something like group choreo for charity event/special. For Carolina there's that brief duet at least season FaOI(Or maybe Bolero...yeah, I know it was different piece, but title is the same and both in black costumes ). Or maybe it could be something fitting the mood or the qualities of this or that skater in a group? Ok, nevermind, it would be quite hard
-
why not Sochi ladies? As I viewer, I enjoyed that more than Turin...also, the iconic Rach 2 and clean Bolero
-
A fancams streaming party Tho it would be hard to pick only one for some performances... (Also one more reason to be at Saitama WC, no fancams) Also, I have seen a young Romeo practice that left me at how good he was already back then... @hoodie axel is there a special reason why you propose those competitions?

2019/2020 Season Program Announcements

https://twitter.com/mai_archive/status/1117286843467177984 Does this mean the FS might be not-DW choreo? dare I hope? Also please DW prove my fears wrong -
bringing this here (edited original post) I suppose that should be decided if ISU ever wanted to establish more accurate parameters. Atm I'd say only current field should be used (maybe across several seasons tho), but the idea that in the near future those that are now considered big jumps could disappear entirely and the average decrease till current "tiny" jumps become the new "average" doesn't make me thrilled at the idea of completely forgetting "the good old times". Personally I think about current field (+ some freshly retired skaters), but I wish ISU could do something more, because it looks like the current goe scoring is gonna shape the average rather than being based on it. re: Kaori and her 3Lo, if one accepts to give her the amplitude bullet, the jump can be a +5, since she can also get bullet 2 and 3 plus matching the music and, even without granting the body position bullet (and I can't see how it could be considered so bad to justify a deduction for poor position), she can also get bullet 4 based on "creative entry". Kaori goes from her chsq directly into that jump so IMO that's fair ground to say it fullfills bullet 4. So those are 5 bullets, included the core bullets. Maybe I could be picky and say she had even better 3Los in other comps, but tbh the WTT this 3Lo fulfills more bullets than many jumps that got +5 this season...so I'm not gonna be picky and say that was a +5 jump And yeah, in the current system, +5 isn't about how perfect jump is (which makes Yuzu not getting those +5 more maddening). The system doesn't even require to hit all 6 bullets to get the highest score possible (which is IMO some very weird logic, why should a jump with 6 positive bullets be scored the same as a jump with 5 positive bullets? but not surprising, since...ISU)...And of course they are guidelines I think I like this system. It might prevent the slow death of big jumps, if the historical record used as reference can only move up and not move down. Well, the average could still move down and jumps that now would be at 0% could become jumps that get 10%, but the would still be an upper anchor to ensure that different degrees of "good" are rewarded differently, and it's something I like, because excellent should get more points than very good and this can't happen atm (not that very good is getting any advantage over average anyway) Depending on how much points were at stake, height/distance on jumps could become a serious incentive for working on getting more airtime and more horizontal speed. If the jumping technique is one that involves getting airtime on all jumps it could become significant for the scores. Additionally, it could also be established that only if you get a certain % of points for height/distance you can go above a certain GOE thresold Of course the historical record should come from accurate measurements, so this excludes the jumps from the past (no Midori Ito standard for ladies ). Maybe though, before collecting the data, the actual rotations should be properly assessed. If one were to count the height of several UR quads it's likely the average would be lowered, when the reality is that particular airtime wasn't enough to rotate the quad.... well, we're talking about something that could happen in the future tho. A faster and cheaper technology would be necessary for ISU to even begin to think about such a system, and it would be necessary to gain the data on all types of jumps and further improve accuracy... but one needs to start somewhere and things like ice scope are a good start IMO. In the meanwhile the available data could be used at least to review judges' scores and train them to better understand which jumps are small and which are big, since it looks like they have no real idea about that (assuming that there is no malice in the scoring...I know, t's hard) @shansani, what about also using negative percetages as deduction system for small jumps too? In theory current rules say that poor height/distance can get some deductions, though it's hard to say if it's ever applied... then there would truly be a difference between small jumps and big jumps... I also want ISU to do another seminar where they show why this or that element this season got this or that GOE. Heck, they can even cherry-pick the elements that properly fit the bullets and leave alone the...more questionable examples. And they should at least do sbs comparisons. If they want to avoid comparing skaters, they could just pick a skater and say: "let's compare all his 3As during the season" and explain why they got different scores...

hey hey WELCOME and great first post! I remember this drawing and message, so sweet as I've said multiple times, I have a thing for those hands (and how he moves them) me too, me too! @Hydroblade is there some special badge for a "Hanyu's hands are a Work of Art" club? Or something like that? (like for butt-spin supporters?)

...........after the first moment of "who the heck is this guy?" I have to say this isn't that bad (tbh bearded Yuzu in pic 3 is even nice) I hate you how to unsee that...that THING... I hate you even more but really...why HYK? My sweet sakura fairy, HOW DARE YOU? If I have nightmares tonight, it's all your fault oh jeez I'm laughing like a maniac now, I guess at a point the brain just crashes

1. List the top 3 combined totals for men 2. List the top 3 combined totals for ladies 3. Which country’s teams will be the gold, silver, and bronze medalists? 4. List the top 3 combined totals for pairs 5. List the top 3 combined totals for dance 6. Who will earn the most points on each team (remember that points are based on placement in each of the segments rather than score) 7. Who will receive the highest raw GOE on a jump (includes throws for pairs)? 8. Who will receive the highest raw GOE on a non-jump element. If multiple skaters tie, it will be based on who gets the most elements with that GOE. If there is still a tie, choosing any of those skaters will get you the points. 9. Who will receive the highest raw PCS score? 10. For those who attended both, whose total score will improve the most from worlds? 11. In which disciplines, will there be a new world record? 12. Which country’s teams will have no falls or pops of greater than 1 rotation (i.e. quad to double, triples to singles)? 13. Will there be any singles skaters that have all positive GOE and level 4’s throughout the competition?

2019/2020 Season Program Announcements
EisElle replied to sallycinnamon's topic in Knickknacks: General Skating Chat
ngl, I hope she can have ONE non-DW program... anyway, I hope DW can prove my fears unfounded, it's not like I dislike everything he does Also, since Mai's aim for next season is to be able to perform any music genre, I'm expecting music choices a bit different from It's magic. (luckily she has done tango already, we should be safe from Roxanne...tho I suppose there are more MR songs DW could give her oh no watch him choose LLL please skating gods don't do this to me) -
2019/2020 Season Program Announcements
EisElle replied to sallycinnamon's topic in Knickknacks: General Skating Chat
Hey, maybe there is a chance for jr RD it still hasn't bored me so I'd be happier with it that with MR (and again, maybe a few junior teams will chose it) If I had to choose between the two, tbh, give me MR, I just can't stand LLL Though... to have already not one but TWO confirmed MR in singles, too... it doesn't bode well.. Also, there's still Daniil, with his music choices for Alina -
Junior Skaters of 2018/19 season
EisElle replied to Yatagarasu's topic in Igloo World: Team Other Skaters
yeah when worrying about growth issues I mainly think about Nam and in part (and for a mix of reasons) JunHwan too. But it looks like Nam has adapted to his new self and is finding his way back And hopefully JunHwan will take a break from all the injuries, boot issues and too busy schedule and sort out his URs. I think Stephen has grown a bit in the last year but it's likely he still has a lot of growing to do. I think most boys grow a lot in the "high school" years (at least that's my experience, in the span of a summer most of my classmates suddenly became giants). I don't know if his parents are tall and bulky so it's also hard to make predictions... but I think Samsonov might grow a lot, atm he looks very much like a boy (well, he's even younger than Stephen, after all). I guess if both skaters will turn senior as soon as they can, tho, it's possible they'll deal with growth issues in the first 1-2 senior seasons...but who knows, this is all speculation atm -
I was surprised at the mention of a 4T too, to me her toe combos still look laboured so I'm not betting on that one. As for the 3S, I don't know if the one she did in that FS can be taken as an example of her usual 3S, she was visibly in pain at the end of the skate so that could have factored. I remember one very big 3S, or at least it looked so in the vid, it was from a practice during GP. Of course one big 3S doesn't tells much about her average 3S either (I wanted to check that russian analysis data to see in which range of height her 3S could be, but I can't see the tables anymore) but Zhenya is definitely more comfortable with S and Lo, so it makes sense that, if she needs to try a quad (the current trend says she does), S is really her best bet (or possibly the only bet, since I can't see her ever going for 3A and her Lz...well, it's still what it is). It looks like she is still jumping the sal with the...I can't remember the name of the shape at takeoff, LOL, I'm gonna call it the non-Yuzuru take off...since Rika, who's training 4S too, has changed hers to the Yuzu-takeoff (I think Lilbet jumps her 4S that way too), I wonder if there's a chance Ghislain will push Zhenya do the same...probably it would be harder for Zhenya to change so radically her 3S technique though, especially since she already needs to focus a lot on her 2A and toe jumps... iirc LazyLys on twitter had calculated that, according to current icescope data, it looks like for male skater there's no correlation between height of the jumps and height of the skaters (as listed in ISU bio), at least for the 3A. There are many short skaters who jump high, or higher than one would expect - Keegan, Misha K, of course Midori Ito, but I think also a skater like Karen Chen, and Liza T isn't that tall either. Also, Yuzuru isn't the tallest guy out there and he still jumps very high after a counter... I guess body type could be a different thing... but again, Keegan isn't "thin", and some skaters from the past who had big jumps were bulkier than Nathan, Yuzu and Boyang (I guess in an era when boots were also heavier, so it was harder to get good lift, so it's even more significant that they could rotate and land those big quads). So all in all I think the explosive power in muscles (at least in part due to genetic composition of muscle fibers) and technique/timing could matter more than body type.(*) We'll never know how big Satoko could have jumped clock-wise, maybe she would have been a better jumper if she hadn't been forced to adapt her technique to a direction that didn't felt natural to her. Also, if you notice, a lot of Yuzuru's technique relies on perfect timing (I also think that's at least part of the reason why he's so "fussy" about what goes where and when, how to fit this or that on that particular section of the music... it's likely that, to Yuzuru, when the rythm of jumps doesn't suit the music, it feels like irksome discordant notes). In the slow-mo you really see him e.g. coil for the 4Lo, sinking low on his leg and sweep for the 4S, and swing arms and legs together for the 3A. It's a bit like watching an archer drawing and releasing the string (*)It's possible the current "technique" of fast rotation is only suited to a certain body type, but it isn't the only technique avaliable. Though it looks like it's the one that's all the rage for now, and it's likely gonna be all the rage for a while, since there are 0 real incentives in going for bigger jumps (looking at how the supposed core bullet is utterly meaningless atm) I think there's a cultural issue in figure skating community as a whole - many people still live in the 6.0 and don't think it's even possible to make things more objective. It's like disregarding all the improvements that were made in science and technology in... DECADES. All those improvements in the ability to measure things, all the things we know better now thanks to studies in physiology, physics and so on, all the new instruments that are being developed... it's as if they were seen as 1) something completely and utterly useless or 2) an evil to be squashed and stomped to the ground. They don't even get a chance. more angry ranting aaaaaaand some more sad ranting

Junior Skaters of 2018/19 season
EisElle replied to Yatagarasu's topic in Igloo World: Team Other Skaters
has he? I hope this won't add unnecessary pressure on Stephen, the "curse of canadian men missing gold at OWG" is already...heavy enough (also that current canadian senior men struggle a lot with consistency and don't have reputation on Patrick's level, I'm not particularly fond of narrative having Stephen the One who'll save Canadian men, just like I'm not fond about Alyssa Liu being regarded already as the One who'll save US ladies...) btw small correction, Stephen had harder layout at Canadian Nats only in the SP, the FS, where he had his major mistake at JWC (popped Lz), was the same (and he fell on first 3A and could add only a 2T on his second 3A, so lost a couple more points there too). Anyway, I think he has done a lot of good experience that will help him next season (plus achieved great result, given he was one of the youngest in the junior circuit). If there are no injuries or grotwh issues for him and Samsonov, these two are likely gonna fight quad vs quad, and if Petr stays in jr he's gonna be even more dangerous too, now he has incorporated quads. Also, I hope to see both Yuma and (finally!) Shun. Shun in particular, if he lands his quads, has the BV to challenge Stephen and Daniil (tho I don't expect judges to be ready to throw points at him as to Canadia and Russian boys). I think Kao Miura could be eligible too, but given that Shun still hasn't made an appearance in JGP despite being age eligible, I'm not holdng my breath for him (it would be awesome, tho, if we could see all eastern japan boys together). I also wonder what are Daniel Grassrl's plans, because in theory he has the quads too and doing well in sr and jr comps this season might have given him some reputation (tho I hope to see him much more improved next season, and with a program I like, like his previous FS). Overall, I'm pretty excited about next season jr Men's skating ladies field will feel very different without Sasha and Alyona (and Anna), I can't wait to see how new russian ladies look and who will bring which jumps (also, I wonder what will Nastya T do). Plus Kanysheva being now with Eteri...(I'm a bit sad, I enjoyed her programs under Panova). Also, curious about what will the judges do with Alyssa Liu on the scenes... -
what a meanigful way to end the Kose blog I'll miss the little updates, but well, we know our favourite ninja is in his cave working hard (and hopefully doing many things he likes, like skating, listening to music and playing video games and who knwos, watching cute cats vids) we know it is I wonder if ISU will adjust BV again in the future or if we must be resigned that BV will stay as they are (for sequences too) till the next big rules ovehaul...hope dies last, they say what I took from Kaerb's translation was roughly the same, as in: 1) the claim that someone was asking to badmouth Yuzu AND prop 3 other skaters couldn't be verified (hence it's possible the original claim wasn't to be taken at face value, and the reason of such a claim woud then be open to any kind of speculation) 2) on Crowdworks, most requests for content about Yuzuru "merely" wanted something written about him, likely to get views (at this point mentioning him on media is quite a good bet to get clicks)*. It's entirely possible J-cast is doing exactly the same now - trying to get those views thanks to fans reacting to the article (and with that content, fans's strong reaction was predictable) (*I guess it's also more likely to get clicks when posting positive things rather than negative stuff. afaik, sometimes fans have tried to "boycot" trash articles, so maybe "any press is good press" isn't always true...) Well, I'd be a bit skeptical about Yuzu fans paying for positive content about Yuzuru (he doesn't really need it and thousands of people are doing that for free anyway, everyday, everywhere), and tbh, I don't think he needs to be painted as a victim though deception, there are already so many things in his life that make people "take his side"...tho I don't claim to know the minds of the most extreme fans, one can't deny extreme fans do exist in every fandom. On the other side, I find believable that people would want to have Yuzu content posted on their own websites, not on twitter or other platforms where they can't monetize on the views... (as for antis jumping in to claim evil fanyus are the masterminds behind everything, well, I'm not surprised and tbh only a very naive evil mastermind wouldn't have forseen it. Making a claim that can't be supported with some kind of evidence is 100% sure to backfire badly) also, @kaerb
-
@kaerb made a translation It looks like some just want to "exploit" any kind of visibility Yuzuru brings. Even trash articles will result in visibility, which is why sometimes it's better not to give them views (especially if we know other people already replied to correct misinformations and such) It also looks like some might also want to smear Yuzuru's reputation, be it to make Yuzuru's name less "appealing" on the market and to media to make room for other stars (not necessarily skaters, though) or just because they have some very sick hatred against him. It's very sad and very ugly Good to know ANA has been made aware of that, maybe they'll be able to do something about that, or at least monitor (and also warn Yuzuru, tho it's likely he already knows some people just can't stand that he exists) Unrelated: I'll miss it. I know it was only a few sentences or 25s of audio, without any real new info, but still...Yuzu back to full-ninja and the real Drought will start I guess we'll need to start the countdown to when we can expect to see him next... edited to embed twitter links

C'mon, he has already skated to Bibier and it wasn't half bad Also, next season Worlds are in Canada... 😱😱😱😱😱 I'd take a Vera Wang UA-inspired wetsuit over that OMG I know Paul Anka thanks to my extensive knowledge of 50s-60s-70s Italian pop (blame my dad) you know what, maybe my dad would finally love Yuzuru, till now his fave program is PW but he still can't understand why I love his skating and fs so much ETA: I clearly have a very broad definition of "italian" pop😅 This is awesome (and it could totally happen)
-
I think that saying is heavily related to residual 6.0 thinking - afaik, back then when you failed the first part of the competition, you would have been pretty much out of contention for gold, due to how ordinals worked. Even under CoP, we've seen many times how much scores (GOE and PCS) can be affected by skating in earlier groups in FS. Also, if one has a good SP, judges will also be more willing to be generous in the FS, so it's a double effect: if you do well in SP judges might be more benevolent in the FS, if you're bad in the SP, judges will nitpick more in te FS too...in the end, a mistake in the SP can result in a much bigger point gap than e.g. the mere loss of BV. Heck, even skating first in the last group in the FS has resulted in judges being stingy (WC17 H&L says hi) Also, yeah, for example if one pops a quad into a double, in the FS you still get a couple points, in the SP you get 0. If you miss a combo in the FS, you usually have more chances to recover that later, while in SP you have max 2 jump you can use for combo. Also, in the SP the combo can't be whatever you want, for senior men it must be 4-3 or 4-2 or 3-3 or 3-2... for example a 2-2 would bring 0 points in theory 4-4 would be invalid too, unless they change the rules LOL just imagine getting 0 points after lanidng a 4-4. For jr skaters the SP rules are even stricter (mandatory type for solo jump, so if one season the solo jump must be Flip, if you fail your combo you can't use the flip to recover it...the free skate doesn't have this kind of restrictions...well, it was supposed to be "free", after all...) question: is it normal that bookmark option has disappeared and I can't access my bookmarks? Also, the number of emojis has increased A LOT I foresee that my typing skills will go from turtle-speed to snail-speed

that's awesome! so many satellites! from so many places! All here, ensnared by the gravitational pull of Planet Hanyu! also, I need to connect to the Planet more when I am in my hometown, it feels unfair there are no dots down there sob ok I haven't listened to T*L because I'm a petty fanyu who doesn't want to give them views (also, I value my own mental health), so I don't know for sure what Inman said, but if Inman really said what he said about Seimei of all programs, that's such a shameful cultural (and racial) bias that, if I were to meet him in person, I'd need to make a really really BIG effort not to tell him exactly where he can shove that bias of his I was surprised too, until I rembered USA's population is bigger than that of any European country AND they are native english speakers, too (and that Japanese, Russian and Chinese fans also have like a gazillion websites where to stan Zuzu in their own language). Also, yay, good taste has no borders
-
bolded part: it's one of the reasons why I find some of Yuzuru's performances for 24hTV so evocative just the sound of the blades and little more, much smaller audience, the blades traces on the ice... I understand the need to clap for everything Yuzu does (and I'd 100% do the same, if I'll watch him live), but for example I sometimes wish the were less claps during the performance, especially for programs like Notte Stellata and Haru yo koi... on the other hand, being completely deprived of the sounds of the arena, like ACI programs, where music is overlapped on video and you can't hear a blade or a cheer, it's...a bit creepy. I definitely prefer to hear the live sounds of the arena over that. I particularly enjoy when camera are able to catch the blade's sound...OWG footage was unexpectedly nice in this regard thank you for linking that interview, it was an interesting read Among other things, I liked how they talk about social media, even in the small circle of figure skating, skaters need to deal with lots of nastiness change of topic: I've rewatched H&L so that experience deserves a little bit of public swooning praises on my part, even if everyone has already swooned about that program praised it already. Even if I've watched it countless times with all avaliable commentaries, it's still mesmerizing It's just so beautiful, truly beautiful, when you search "beautiful" on wiki there needs to be a link to that program also, I may have or may have not squealed in excitement and anxiety as Yuzu took the starting pose also, gosh I LOVE that starting pose and the starting moves. One of my absolute faves..together with Ballade stillness, Seimei "BAM you're under my spell", RJ1 burst, Etude drop and rise, White legend spreading wings, PW smirk, Origin's birth-like(? can't find proper word to explain), Requiem sliding down, LGC sass, Otonal flipping through pages and so on... After recovering from the *feels*, I've watched Origin and HYK in HD no commentary and I loved how different those programs were form H&L. Of course I knew they were different, but watching them back to back is really something... which makes me even more annoyed at people saying Yuzuru always choses same music...do they have eyes? It's not even about ears, the choreo and type of moves are completely different. Origin is all nervous energy, and yes, there are some parts were it slowes down, but still, the movements never become like water. Origin is fire, sometimes bursting in vivid flames, sometimes smoldering. The HYK vid was so HD I gasped just watching Yuzuru standind up in his sakura fairy costume agains the darkness (many thanks to Dasani for uploading those .ts). And I particularly felt the difference with H&L. Despite both programs being soft and flow-y, HYK is the wind to H&L water. I deeply felt the imagery behind the two programs was very very different I'd say Requiem is water too, but more tumultuous. NS is...dream-like instead, I don't really associate one of the elements to it. I was thinking maybe Seimei could be Earth LOL this way Yuzuru would be like The Avatar, bending all elements and meant to bring harmony in the world
