Hopefully camera following Dai will also mean camera will follow other teams too, like UtaShin (that tbh are a pair I'd invest a lot on, if I were JSF, they are young and obviously extremely talented) and KoKo who basically are the only(?) Sr team atm. I am not sure if fundings for ID will really increase tbh, but some marketing can't hurt and, if it can promote a trend of switching to different disciplines, it can only do good to Jpn skating (and for many skatets it could became a great opportunity) I'm a bit disappointed the debut won't happen for another year, looks a bit like a waste of time if 2022 is on their radar, but I understand if Dai wants to say his goodbyes to singles on a meaningful stage... but I guess that he and Kana have likely already been training a bit together, that's good. I don't think learning to work in sync will be the hardest thing, but Dai needs some catching up on ID, especially elements like twizzles and lifts, which are unfamiliar to him. Height difference afaik is small and, while usually it isn't a big problem for ice dancers, it will factor in their plans too. In the meanwhile, the state of jpn pairs looks extremely foggy... I'm torn, on one side I think design 1 can better display the text, on the other I like design 2 because it has Japan roughly in the centre but then the text would be smaller... idk I also like design 3, it's different and to me looks fresh, but then would there be enough space for the pins? It would work if we could use all the blank spaces to add pins with out flag, but then we would be back to the original issue with flags themselves...

It looks I'm late to the discussion oops anyway IMO the banner with heart-flag is the best, concise and pretty self-explanatory general consideration: I want to see Yuzuru's name (or any other clear reference to his person) on a banner meant for Yuzuru. If I I want to cheer on other skaters I can just bring different banners for them, or print their country flag or whatever. And I don't see why Yuzu fans especially should worry about cheering for everyone... we're fans exactly like any other fan, no one tasked us with the moral mission to be better than other fans and for sure we are not worse. Like every other fan, we have faves and not-faves. So I don't care about showing the world "you see, I love everyone!". I DON'T and it's in my right to feel so and act so. My only "duty" as audience in comp is to respect all competitors, not to be their personal cheering squad, for how blunt this sounds. Other people are welcomed to be their personal cheering squad if they want. I can politely clap for everyone but no one has the right ot ask me more, if I myself don't feel like doing more. Even if Yuzuru asked me to cheer as loudly for a skater as I'd cheer for him I wouldn't do that. I am my own person and I feel what I feel and I make my own choices (sorry Zu but look at it this way: I'm not treating you like an idol, or some god whose word is law, I'm treating you as "my equal"...sort of) my fave is the one with black+white line. Coloured+white would mean a further degree of customization, so IMO not really necessary @yuzuangel how would it look with "we" in slightly smaller font compared to "yuzu"? this is brilliant this (also, when I was I child there was this fruit juice brand that put flags+country name on the cap. I drank A LOT of fruit-juices so I could collect as many flags as possible LOL I also searched where the country was on my globe... No internet at home back then LMAO it was funny. I was so surprised at the Nepal flag...but my fave probably was Kiribati, so detailed, almost poetic. To go back on topic, yeah, if people want to know which contry has a flag, they can. Even on twitter emojs there are all the flags with country name. The most important thing is that there will be lots of different flags)

You know, one (of the many many many) thing(s) I really love of his programs is that there are moments just like that, when he closes his eyes and you see that yes, he is feeling the music so deeply, as if he were alone and doing all of that for himself and all the thousand of eyes on him and camera clicking like mad didn't matter at all. To me it adds authenticity and that's a powerful, powerful pull

Ok, using spoiler to reply to above discussion Back to nicer things 🤣🤣🤣 From some older pics I thought the left arm/hand (the part that looked to be in the next field...tho it's not like I know nothing about rice fields) weren't growing as well as the rest of rice!Yuzu, but maybe that's me? Anyway, I wonder if they are going to advertise the SpecialYuzuRice once harvested... Finally, have I ever said how lovely it is that they put that big smile on Yuzu's face? It gives the field a big cheering power IMO

I know others get the rewards for not-so-good or not-good-at-all 4Lz, so Shun wold be just one among many (and probably not the worst)... It already looked like she was growing last season, at least when side by side with Anna and Alyona especially who is still very petite. that edit of her fs makes me very excited. The ending looks extremely cool (choreo to scare the judges into giving the marks? worked well last season with that breaking-the-glass choreo LOL)

I haven't seen it posted here but since Andrew is still jr and he's going to be in this week JGP, dropping it here He seems a very creative guy looking forward to his self-choreo... Quite refreshing that his focus is on steps and choreo rather than jumps... ISU regulations don't mention any requirement about the music, other than duration and high quality of the recording (and of course that they must be on CD LOL) I had misread Yuzuru's change of mood After WC, when he said he thought Otonal was at..how much? 30% or 60? (I am confused by all the numbers ) I thought he had HUGE unfinished business, but then I took the Origin encore as LGC encore in 2017 - a thank you for your service, parting ways now LOL someone here commented that to them, there in the arena, it didn't feel like that. It looks they might be right Yeah Origin still has a lot of room to grow and the tech challenge might make a familiar program better (tho he has been able in the past to overcome injury and up tech with new programs). And, Origin was likely THE program where Yuzuru wanted to fullfill another of his childhood dreams... I might agree with Yuzuru that Otonal wasn't perfected...Even COR, I felt the section before the combo still needed a bit of smoothing out. mmm I've never felt Origin and Otonal were for anyone but himself. True, "tributes" and he especially felt he needed to show skates "worthy" of those that inspired him, but first and foremost he was gifting himself the chance to realize a dream he had cultivated for a long time I thought the "mood" that had pushed him to pick those two programs had changed too much after this past season and he would have preferred to "turn page" with a set of new programs, but it looks like he doesn't feel that literal speaking of which, are we really expecting new programs? I'm already giving for granted the double repeat, I just can't see him repeating Origin without keeping Otonal too...and I'm assuming he is repeating Origin. I'm late to the party but So happy! I had lost hope but now there's something to look forward to before ACI! And so on brand that the break in the drought will be for charity (also HYK yes please) What are you studying right now? what you do want to write your thesis about? Do you have archives of video recordings and stats of your jumps and other elements? What did you learn about the mechanics of jumps and steps (and spins, I know you practice them too...sometimes :p ) Will you share your findings after you retire? Can you have them translated in English pretty please? and can you have them handed to ISU too? Oh no that's not only ONE question lol that would be quite an anticlimactic reveal poor ninjaZu betrayed by technology and bad luck... if he's really keeping Origin though it's half surprise half not to me, the FaOI encore felt like a goodbye and letting go but... that gong sound was meant for Nessie now wondering if Origin it is, will he go for the original layout or the modified version?
