  1. So if Yuzu's "Origin" is going to be a re-arranged "Tribute to Nijinsky" does it mean Yuzu will take those 4 pieces of music and do his own cut? I'm assuming he'll keep the most characteristic parts?
  2. That's exactly what happened. #fact
  3. Can someone explain to me where the music from Plushenko's "Tribute to Nijinsky" come from? It's been mentioned it's azn original composition? By whom? But it contains pieces of Sheherezade too?
  4. My jaw dropped when I saw Nijinsky but I actually liked the idea immediately. Wasn't sure about Otonal because Johnny's cut isn't the greatest, but after listening to all of it, it's beautiful and it has potential to be a great program if Jeff and Yuzu cut it well. It brings to mind floaty Sakura!Yuzu.
  5. I want that Sasuke Uchiha program with billowing sleeves and magical sewing that I dreamt about last year.
  6. What if we get nothing tomorrow, are you prepared to do this a whole week?
  7. Just reading this craziness makes me feel crazy!
  8. Wait, Planet Hanyu has a setting which allows the interface to be in Japanese?
  9. I almost got a heart attrack when I read the word "withdrawal" so yep, dying here. But Brian Orser didn't know, did he? So what kind if situation it would have been if the Fed knew but Brian didn't? Unless Brian knew about injury but was in the dark about how bad it was and thought it was getting better. But doesn't Japanese fed often distribute skaters across many competitions to give more of them a chance? Like Kaori got the Olys and Wakaba got the Worlds? Maybe Yuzu just let them know he'd like to prepare better before Worlds and they accepted it and sent someone else instead? If I remember correctly, the devision about who goes where i made right after Nationals.
  10. 4000 members! Edit: Wait. So instead of Poohs, now I'm supposed to bring goats? Lol, it'd be so cool if everybody threw goats instead of Poohs at at least one competition.
  11. It makes sense, with the 11 spots at Rostelecom. If Finland offered Junhwan a spot, do you think he'd decline, seeing as it's right after SC? SC is quite convenient for Junhwan, only a short trip away, so perhaps he wouldn't be tired enough to decline. Can skaters even decline, though?
  12. Jorik Hendricks has withdrawn. Kevin Reynolds got his SA assignment. Maybe Junhwan can get the other one? I'd love to see him, but for him it'd mean back to back events. But maybe still Rostelecom?
  13. I found nothing disrespectful in them, quite the contrary, they're hilarious. Do we need another Yuzu-is-not--a-god debate? Pictures like those add varied and without stuff like that the forum would be much poorer.
  14. Well, if I'm to split hairs, the certain 2x Oly medallist life is not an anime either because he left his "smalltown training place" and got himself to a prime training facility abroad...
  15. Thanks! I sent one donation in the past, and it was in dollars, so I wanted to make sure in order to avoid double conversion! Getting on it, you should Be getting €30 soon!
  16. What currency do you guys operate on? I have to convert money via PayPal anyway, so what should I convert to?
  17. Well, true that. Perhaps he did think of it, and said, nope, even for the Olympic gold, I'm not subjecting myself to 4 years away from home. I'll just stay here and maybe I'll get there anyway. So I will just remain only a bit disappointed at the prospect of Boyang not becoming as good a skater as he might in Canada. Wish him the best anyway!
  18. All this "I'm supporting Boyang's decision if it's what he thinks is right for him"... I must say that if this is indeed Boyang's decisions, then I'm disappointed in it. There, I said it. I don't think it's right for him, and I don't think he'll improve anywhere near as if he would under the direct tutelage of TCC. There's Olympic gold to be won in 4 years, and if one really wants the Oly gold, then some sacrifices usually have to be made. All TCC has to offer: good choreo, reputation, PCS boost, a likely position to be the favorite going into Olys, and Boyang decides to pass. It is, well, disappointing. He's one of my favourite skaters, and I'd like to see him improve and shoot to the very top, but I'm afraid his progress won't be large enough for that and the lack of a powerful coach will hold his scores down. Nathan will be getting PCS boost for nothing whereas Boyang's will stagnate. Sorry for the black glasses, but argh, when I think of what-might-have-been.
  19. Media arrived for media day would be the licenced ones, not having to stoop to taking private-time photos. Unless there was a shady individual amongst them who likes making some money on the side. I think it's very likely those photos were taken by a local paparazzo. Local tabloids may not have interest, but Japanaese do, and a pap just needs to know that. In today's time, a client for a pap is just an e-mail and a few clicks away.
  20. oh oh, I hope somebody will translate. I've always been curious about Kikuchi's perspective.
  21. Sui/ Han have apparently withdrawn from GP. Which sucks because I was really looking forward to seeing them. Without them GP Finland doesn't look that great.
