At least he knows exactly what he's going to be up against before making final decisions about his Olympic season FS. I don't want Yuzu yo do such a warhorse... I would like him to do somethjng unique, there's no shortage of epic sound in movies and especially video games (:cough:One Winged Angel: cough:) but if he needs to go a more clasdical route... How about Dvorak's 9th symphony, " From the New World" including this part: (on a completely unrelated note: Karajan must have been really hot when he was young, I had no idea) It's classical, which should please the judges, not overplayed (I don't think I ever heard it done on ice in my limited time as a fan) amd maxes out the epicness scale. (and if he wanted to br more svant garde, he could mash it up with the metal version which goes way beyond the aforementioned epicness scale :smile: )

Ja też mam probkem z przestawieniem się na polski, więc pewnie rzadko będę się tu udzielać, szczególnie wziąwszy pod uwagę jak absorbujące jest główne forum, ale chciałam się zameldować. Ja łyżwiarstwem interesowałam się pasywnie za dzieciaka na przełomie lat 1990tych/2000 ale jak moi ulubieńcy (Yagudin, Krylova/Ovsiannikov, Grishuk/Platov) przestali jeździeć to i zaintersowanie opadło, a jako że na studiach ciężko było o telewizor to i cała ta szopka z głowy wyleciała. Aż do pamiętnych zawodów drużynowych w Soczi gdy zobaczyłam Parisian Walkways, zrobiałam wielkie oczy: " To mężczyźni teraz tak jeżdżą? Trzeba się z powrotem zaintersować!" No i się zaintersowałam. :grin: Co znamienne, moją drugą ulubioną dyscypliną stały się solistki, które kiedyś były na szarym końcu, i które często po prostu sobie odpuszczałam. I also prefer Chopin 1.0 - it's etheral. One thing I love about Yuzu's costumes: even if I personally don't love something, there are plenty of people who do, so I never feel like he has a really bad costume. Well, perhaps with tge exception of the shoelaces one and perhaps NdP. I love 90% of the NdP costume but the cross is one thing even I cannot defend.

Agreed. In general, I love rippons and rather dislike tanos, must be the symmetry thing. I really enjoy Zagitova's ripponed jumps and Yuzuru's light-as-feather rippon 2T is a beauty.

OMG, how can you even put them in one sentence??? Seriously, Requiem one ranks 2nd in my top 4 Yuzu costumes: Etude, Requiem, Swan, R&J2. Combine the assymetrical sleeves, ripped ruffles and deep v-neck in the back and this is my costume perfection fit for the Olympic arena!

I've been thinking about colors and how we often salivate over Yuzuru's black training catsuit BUT... yesterday I rewatched Javi's SP and despite the fact that it was clean, I enjoyed it way less than his Malaguena rdnditions last year, and it was my ferling all this season - and difference is costume. The red-and-black costume added to that proram, the just-black lessened its impact. So now I don't think all-black costume would be a good idea. Another thing I noticed, not only on TV but also live - as much as I like the design of the H&L costume, I was never much of a fan of its color scheme. The gloves ending in blue was particularly unfortunate in my opinon - it made his hands less visible when he was framed by the audience, I think I lost lots of detail because of that. So next year, please Yuzu, have light-colored sleeves! Or red! Red's the best color brcause it's always well-visible! But thenncan you imagine a costume similar to LGC but red??? :rofl: I think we'd all just flip out!

I showed my friend a few SPs yesterday (Javi's, Boyang's, Patrick's and Yuzuru's) and she still liked Yuzuru's the best (even though I know she's no Prince fan). She said that by comparson Javi was more static, which surprised me. So it seems that despite the mistake he still managed to pull off the atmosphere. :s_smile
