Of course there are Cipres/Morgan and I love them, but Yuzu! I also realized that chances of that happening are next to none, so I thought, "I'll edit it!" Ambitiously, I wanted a full all-elements-there program but that plan went out of the window when it turned out that no, those spins are too long for those music sections there, and those step sequences fit great over there, all 3 of them, and I need some slow skating over there instead of jumps... Well here's the result.

Somebody figure this out for me: Is ISU is telling SBS to delete the videos or is this something SBS insisted on in their contract and ISU had to agree? Because from the first piece it sounds like it's ISU telling them to, and then Ted's information makes no sense. But even then the vids shouldn't get deleted, just geoblocked. Unless all broadcasters suddenly started caring so much and started deleting videos?

^^^ Given the latest injury, I don't feel confident Yuzu will be able to realize his goal, the 4A. It seems his ankle leaves him no room for error - and training the 4A means lots and lots of errors.

Heh, it's like they picked 15 people from most popular in the USA sports and then went, "Wait, we've got 5 more slots to fill, brain storming time!" On that list there's no ski jumping, no skiing, no cycling, no track and field other than running, no volleyball, no handball, no ping pong, etc etc... Are there no dominant athletes in those sports? I love the horse though, from the blurb it reads like it should be #1 though.

So anyway, I guess watching the GPF made me feel the Yuzu withdrawal quite acutely, so I made a clean edit of his Rostelecom skate. I replaced the final two axels with jumps from Helsinki. The result is a big ass zayak and an experienced eye will notice impossible transtions but it's as close to what Origin was supposed to look like as we can get before worlds. I know lots of fans are traumatized and don't want to watch the Rostelecom FS but it's actually great interpretation-wise. Yuzu never gives up and the whole thing is fierce throught, he even smiles widely before going into the mini-hydroblade. I've already rewatched it a million times while tweaking the footage and noticed so many details! At 3:22 there's a sound effect like a sword slashing and Yuzu makes two movements with his right hand - not very visible because it's on the side that the camera doesn't show - up and down as if he were slashing a sword! And there;s that energetic forceful downwards hands movement that goes on the beat when he's coming out of the one-before-last spin. And if you want to show Origin to a casual viewer, it's a good option! I don't think an inexperienced viewer will notice something weird is going on if they are focused on Yuzu and not the surroundings, and you can always explain, "Well, he actually fell in the competition, do you want to see that version?"

1. Things are slow on the Yuzu front and it does not do any harm. We're not at GS where every single word has to be weighed for fear of being banned for off-topic. 2. Did you notice how miaelis used the words "probably" "I think" "has to be" etc? micaelis is not claiming to know Yuzu's thoughts. He's guessing and musing on Yuzu's feelings and the TCC dynamics like we do here all the time. Your thoughts may be different - why not express what you feel is different instead of berating micaelis for his musings?

I believe "Hanyu" means "where feathers are born" (I love the meaning btw - and I guess it's another reason why Yuzu likes to put feathers on his costumes) and Google Translate also often translates "Yuzuru" as "knot" or "string". I just had to laugh at the "feathers are knotted in the mushroom head of the Plushenko style".

Did anyone know that tidying and organizing Yuzu photos on your Pinterest boards is an excellent use of your time while you're lying in bed sick? Just wanted to get this information out there. I love Google Translate: It's a great read, Google Translate always makes Chinese read like poetry.

I still can't get over the Chinese acrobats wearing the boobskirt without the boobskirt. The gold medal girl in H&L costume with short blue skirt wins. I think the design works even better with a blue skirt than with black trousers.

There's no life-goal Olympic to be won this season and reportedly Yuzu has been more relaxed, so probably he's nowhere as unhappy as last season. It seems to me that even Brian is less stressed when it comes to Yuzu. He was surprisingly upbeat when they were waiting for the scores at Rostelecom. Like, they have achieved what they meant to achieve, the rest is a bonus. I think now the main reason for Brian's grey hair is going to be Evgenia.

Yeah, me too. I think that even if prognosis is really good, Yuzu will prioritize Nationals, and in order to do decently at Nationals, he'll have to sacrifice GPF for some extra healing time.
