I am skeptical that the proposed change would really bring the change the way those people intended it to be not that I wasn't already skeptical, but reading more on the details of the program change doesn't convince me at all... I agree with other commenters that this only shows that they don't quite grasp why the current judging system is failing. And unlike the expanded GOE value (which could still potentially be used to really reward those who really demonstrate skating excellence), I fail to see how change in emphasis (from TES to PCS and vice versa) between the two types of programs could really bring the intended improvement -_- — if anything it's becoming more rife of potential abuse by the judges who are already dodgy enough under the current system -_- -_-

To do so well at 4CC prediction after doing badly at GPs and Euros predictions... ...next time I'll make sure to join the prediction game way earlier!

Sure the copyright claim feels worrisome but so far Kevin Aymoz's SP is still up on ISU's channel, no? So now I personally am not too worried about the video of Yuzu's (hypothetical) LGC EX being taken down due to copystriking (if it is a fan upload one can just unlist the video or anything, make it shareable only through linking in other social media sites...)

It's only tangentially related to the judging matter at hand but it baffles me how the TP (and judging panel in general I guess) insisted on only having one camera from one POV — I mean, surely you can judge steps better if you can look at it from other POVs when it is hard to do so from the usual POV? I understand her not explaining the video recording more extensively, but it still doesn't sit right with me... 😒

It only mentioned Gilles Beyer as the suspect (the Sport1 site mentioned two other coaches that are going to be investigated, Michel Lotz and Jean-Roland Racle), and the article also speculated on the possibility of the case (ie. sexual abuse cover up) happening in other sports (swimming, etc.).

I think this is also partly why I had a hard time warming up to Otoñal+Origin... I mean I am not opposed to the concept of paying tribute in itself, it's just that... ...well at this point I'll sound like a broken record about the music of Otoñal and Art on Ice/Magic Stradivarius so I am not going to repeat myself...

When I first heard about Yuzu switching back to Chopin+Seimei for 4CC I actually felt...relieved? I felt bad for typing this out, but this feeling of relief I have made me realize that while I like Otoñal+Origin, I couldn't quite warm up to it the way I did to Chopin+Seimei (or heck, even LGC+H&L) . Maybe it's the lack of exposure, but one and a half season in and I'm still not as enthusiastic about those programs the way I did for his other programs . I just hope it will truly be a fruitful effort for him, this switchback. Either way I'll definitely support him all the way...

IMHO I place the responsibility more on the adults over at Sambo rather than on Daniil himself — surely they should have briefed their skaters on how to handle the press?? (ie. in this case reminding him what can(not) be share to the press about the training situation)

Yes indeed 😢, I didn't write about it clearly in my initial comment but when I wished for recovery I meant to wish it to everyone in Wuhan area (not just to the Chinese fanyus who happen to live there, who might or might not carry the virus). SARS outbreak was scary enough in the early-mid 2000s, I truly hope the Chinese government (and other countries' govs that have to contain the case as well) are really able to contain and slow down the virus outbreak... OoT but I want to share it here (hope y'all don't mind >_< )
