I mean he'd plan for a new SP if he were to go to the winter olympics, no? I wished that he kept LMEY as his SP, but that's just me (also I trust Yuzu to create yet another exquisite SP, if he choose to make a new one). Or maybe keep LMEY as an EX program? Anyhow all I am saying is we could still need some more cheer from Yuzu's LMEY 😏

I kinda understand the confusion over Mishin's gushing on Yuzu 一 he might not be as negative as Zhulin but I don't remember if Mishin has always been this complimentary towards Yuzu? unless I missed out on things he said in the past but...

It's partially bolstered by Joji's (the artist that created the music Vincent skated to) fandom, I remembered Joji himself even tweeted a video of Vincent's program. oh well @tafattsbarn already said it lol >_<

Sometimes I think the reason why Yuzu doesn't tease us (y'know, with booty shaking or anything similar to it) is because he is aware of the power he holds, and while he'd delight on the thought of Fanyus fainting as far as the eye can see from his tease, he needs all of us conscious (and alive) to witness his skating the most. He cannot accidentally cause the death of his own fans (he needs us alive to witness his greatness to the end of time!).

After that? It's wait and see ...and while we wait feel free to imagine how it'd turn out

Eh I don't know, the thing is the steps he does in that part doesn't quite enable him to shake his ass properly , so unless Yuzu modifies the steps on that part I am afraid the bootyshaking would remain suboptimal

@GraceAndPower We salute you for wading through the toxic landfill that is ** (I personally never open that website on my own volition, and only know what was contained there from second/third hand accounts 💀) @Neenah thing is, the people that you (might) need to follow heh! are (mostly) active on twitter -- if you know whom to follow and whom to avoid (<-- arguably more important than knowing whom to follow ) your twitter experience could be rather decent. Of course, the inherent limitations of communication on twitter still remain but at least you get a positive(ish) user experience (ie. getting the info you want/need asap).

I am not angry at Yuzu for the SOI announcement, but rather at those who offered him the contract to show up on this particular iteration of SOI (which from what I was able to infer from the twitter thread linked in @Pammi's post was initially planned for last year, but Yuzu cancelled his appearance in SOI '20 and yet the contract carried over to this year, so SOI then announced that they were able to include Yuzu in this year's show??). I personally prefer it that Yuzu skips SOI if possible as well, but if the contractual obligation made it so that he could not opt out howsoever then I just hope that he could go about it in the safest way... I am obviously not letting IMG off the hook though...

I use to low low key dread the possibility that I'd never be able to watch a new competitive performance by Yuzu one day, but now I too am resigned to that possibility. The most important thing is Yuzu's happiness in doing what he loves to do, no? If competing no longer gives him joy then he is completely free to step away from it, and we'll love and support him for it as always...

Oh btw, all this "gatekeeping" by other FS fans (who tend to not like Yuzu, not even objectively recognize his accomplishments so far)? That is not gatekeeping, that is straight up gaslighting. Anyone is right to just walk away from that kind of people. As annoying and discouraging gatekeeping can be to newer fans (in whatever fandom you are...), I understand why people do that, and I can appreciate it (to put it loosely) if those gatekeepers were intellectually honest about it and they base it on actual data and knowledge. Those FS fans though, are not -- they are not only making the atmosphere unpleasant for newcomers they also base their opinions on untruths and outright lies. That is not the thing we can let stand (and obviously not under the guise of so-called subjectivity).

If Yuzu (which is actually consistent) is perceived by the "media"/"judges" as iNcOnSIsteNT then Kolyada and Shoma are going to be perceived as even much more inconsistent, aren't they? Again, I recognize their capability, but as it is with Yuzu, the media/judges' perception factor also plays a role on how they'd be scored. (I mean, sure, Rusfed might eventually decide to fully back Kolyada come Olympic time (and he performs "consistently", then in this case it would be indeed a more engaging narrative for the gold medal struggle) but I am not holding my breath for that... Shoma gets full backing from JSF, yeah, but how far does JSF's backing actually go abroad, really?)

It's just that, it would take too long if we have to rely on IOC to change things up 一 there has to be a quicker way even if only relatively speaking 💀 At least for now, we'll have to keep the heat on by keeping on talking about how ridiculous the current judging situation is 💀, and inform other people (casual FS watchers for instance) the importance of fair FS scoring (and the gnarly consequences if this kind of judging shenanigans is left unchecked). ...as for Yuzu, I am quite optimistic that he'd be able to bounce back, after all this is such a strange season for everyone, so really if he felt like he failed because of a misstep (of any sorts) on his part, I'd like him to know that this time the external factors really influenced things significantly — he doesn't have to be so harsh on himself for (perceived) failure of not accounting every factor possible of his training. @shanshani I see what you meant by the one-sidedness of parasocial relationship. We know that Yuzu reads up things (as in, the things we fanyus lovingly write/make/create for him 💙) on the internet every now and then so I guess, all we (or rather in this post, I) can say to him now is this...
