@Sombreuil oh I agree with your assessment — having been away from (re)watching for a long while had made me a bit lenient on judging the elements it seems, though I'd like to say that when I wrote my first comment on Nate's SP I only compare it to... Nathan's own previous performance I last saw (which was...his Elton John FS 🙈🙈 (which was not befitting for a supposed champion of, what, GPF?? Nuh uh, nope, nope). I knew, what a dismal viewing 🙀). I promise you, I might look like I walked back on my initial comment, but it is really what I think. (...should have made it clear the first time around, I guess... 🙈🙈) @Melodie I didn't pay much attention to his spins (much less paying attention in the technical aspect) in the SP but I saw that his first spin traveled quite a bit — granted it was a first outing but come on... ...I loathe to watch his FS, with music by Philip Glass...no shade to Philip but his music is like...an ever absorbent void of nonexistence 💀 (...though come to think of it, music by a void composer for a void skater, that's surprisingly fitting! 😛)

Eh, I think it's pretty decent though again considering his outing pattern I am not holding my breath that he'd keep that level of performance complexity through the rest of the season though 😑

Interesting that he is listed as a creator (though then again, perhaps not really interesting, just normal and appropriate I guess. With what he's doing, he is best described as a creator, I guess). Not to be that fan but the latter part of the bolded phrase irks me a bit (ie. those who prefer it more as a form of art) — like, a sport can be both athletic and artistic??? One aspect doesn't necessarily go against the other??? Anyway, what a find 😏😎, Yuzu on TV Tropes, who knew?

....I thought everyone knows that Yuzu was cleared up for skating in CoC '14 by the (Team USA) doctor? Yeah, Brian and mama Hanyu also supported him for that decision (ie. continue skating after the collision), but as far as I know it, it was the doctor that cleared him to go (at that time he didn't diagnose anything grave (head concussion or something adjacent to that)). Now would I call the doctor's decision reckless? Probably. The medical team available at the field (...which as @Geo1 has pointed out, was actually lacking, and the one available was the one from Team USA and some officials helping Yuzu off the ice after the collision) should have urged Yuzu and his team to check again at the hospital. The medical team rinkside should be better equipped to to give first aid for any kind of situations, but as we saw the ones helping Yuzu off the ice didn't even have crampons on their shoes. (Anyhow those familiar with first aid and medical help should be able to explain the situation better, as some has commented, but I feel like it can still be explained more...)

@memae I don't wanna look at that IG post but did it really refer to her recent partner (instead of the previous one, when she was still skating for Russia?). RIP Katya 🙏🙏🙏, and yeah, let's not further indulge in baseless rumors surrounding her condition...

Yeah, same. Outrage marketing works a little too well unfortunately :v ...also agree with those who say that Nate realized his complicity in this whole situation — it flatters him (and handed on a silver platter too!) so why wouldn't he savor it while it last??? (As hollow as it actually is....)

...and how many of the gullible newbies who got this narrative stream first will come around and realize the truth? What's also concerning is that there would be a considerable amount of these first time fans that might dig their heel deeper rather than reckoning the truth when it is shown to them. We cannot just let that happen — especially if one claims to care for the truth, honesty and integrity.
