I am among those of optimistic (if not naive ) satellites who is always sure of Yuzu's capability of overcoming challenges — I am sure he'll nail down the Nessie, I am sure he'll dazzle us with programs unlike any other come competition time (if JNats didn't show you that already). Yuzu used to strike head on against the challenges he faces with reckless abandon but from recent interviews we know now that he knows better to take care of himself while still tackling the challenges (...this time more thoughtfully*). It's the judging situation that I am never optimistic about (especially the case since Worlds 2019). I dare not think how those goons of jUdgEs are going to dare steal what is rightfully his... On one hand you'd think that it's somewhat reasonable to hope for reasonable judging at the next Olympics, but on the other hand... depravity knows no bounds, when you thought they dug down so low already, it turns out that they are still able to dig down even deeper — their own wretchedness is simply bottomless... *Not that he wasn't thoughtful already but you have to acknowledge that his emotional desire on something sometimes just overwhelmed any other considerations that he (and his team) had put out for him (...like, say, his insistence to skate to R&J, etc...)

Re: Rika's green dress — that particular shade of green was reserved only for courtiers and high-ranked nobles of the imperial palace, there were sumptuary laws prohibiting commoners to wear that shade of green (...along with other shades stipulated in the law, but that's another story). You may react unfavorably initially towards her dress color but once you learn about the significance have at least the respect and appreciation for the meaning behind it... Re: Yuzu's FS music pick — apologies in advance for not spending more brainpower on it but to me it really just seems like some people are grasping on straws to thrash on him 😒😒. If it were any other skater choosing to skate to traditional (East) Asian music, the reaction wouldn't be as disapproving as those reactions on his music pick (I mean, heck, when Boyang chose to skate to Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, was he met with negative comments? I honestly struggle to remember any. Heck, if it were American skaters of Chinese heritage skating to wuxia movie/TV series soundtrack they'd be praised to the moon and back). They think they could plausibly cover their disdain, they are actually transparent as heck.

Oh do please lecture us every time the opportunity arises! I was able to understand Yuzu's short responses, but for his longer ones I definitely need some help. From what I have seen so far, as the thoughtful person that he is Yuzu is definitely the type that pushes the language he speaks in to its utmost potential...(as in, using big words where appropriate etc.) so it definitely helps to have someone to unfold the meaning of his longer responses as much as possible.

I've been like that↑ since a few days back, actually (from the time when Yuzu was more or less confirmed to compete at JNats (and also when people are talking which comp is the least worst public-health wise, JNats or Worlds 2021. I'd still like to say JNats (seeing how backä$$wards swedish corona response was 🙈) but seeing that they planned to organize it *as usual* (despite concerns being voiced on twitter and elsewhere) shows you how smart JSF goons are /s /s /s). All these confirmations from Yuzu (his comp status (more or less) to his programs) are truly life-affirming, especially in this shitstorm of a year. Hope all goes exceedingly well for Yuzu 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Yuzu might feel slight qualms from WDing from Nationals (eg. slightly disappointed from not being able to skate for the FS public at large yet again) but I don't think he'd feel that much burdened by the social obligation of participating in JNats, especially in the frame of preserving his own (physical) health from the virus. All that is to say, I think he'd decide to WD easily, should the situation at Nagano with regards to covid gets real bad (and I am definitely fine with him deciding that way). I wish he could independently showcase his new programs once those are ready (you know, like him teaming up with On Ice Perspective but this time with a local recording crew in Japan (and they don't have to necessarily record it on ice a la OIP either)), without having to participate in an event where the health protocol is compromised for the sake of "normalcy" (like, gathering participants in an indoor space is already bad enough without audience, but with audience?? ). But I know that this isn't that likely to happen so...

I think she just got so swamped with work she hasn't written/responded to asks again just yet — at least she leaves the blog stands. I am thankful for that, I learned a lot of FS technical stuffs from her.

Anyway if any of you are worried about not being able to stare down into something without blinking, I tell you this — it still works even when you blink when you do the long stare — it's the staring duration that counts (...yeah this is a trivial comment, just saying! 😂😅😂)

Apologies, I knew we have moved away from *that* topic but... ...anyway that's all I'm gonna say on that 😛. As for Yuzu's PR strategy, I don't think I'd worry too much on that — he might end up doing something analogous to what happened in Pyeongchang (ie. simply shock the world with his latest performance), albeit on a smaller scale of prestige. Anyhow, let's just amuse ourselves until the giant loaf that is his FS performance drops (eg. staring at that Yuzu afterimage edit 😅😂), we can do this~~~

Pfffft, what humbug has now come abuzz?? Nathan, aiming for Nessie? When it is a known fact that he isn't even very comfortable with jumping 3A?? Bollocks I say! If the rumor goes that other skaters were said to have landed the first 4A, I would have believed it were it Keegan Messing (I personally only trusted his progress on his attempt on it), but even he had to scale back on that attempt and prioritized chasing for 4Lz instead. And now some people wanted me to believe that Nathan has it in the bag? The rumor isn't even believable! I try my hardest not to direct my unfavorable feelings towards Nathan so excuse me before I start spouting foul words to USFSA and its goons...

I just hope that the communication line (with TCC) remains open ...I mean, I knew he couldn't extend the training contract like the previous season, I just wonder (or hope, really) that maybe Yuzu worked out an arrangement to be able to continue working with them, even through the distance...

I mean, seeing how the situation developed, that decision is likely going to happen anyway , it's just plain unrealistic to expect it to go *as usual* (even with the added precautions). ...at this point we'd be really lucky if we could even do 4CC/Euros/Worlds (with all the precautions ofc)...

...I mean, I'd rather have that to sex bomb, I guess?
