The awards are not important, they are only the ISU's way of pushing their agenda. The real deal is the Olympics gold and the ISU are slowly but surly building a narrative to ensure a certain someone will get it even if there was someone else better that day.

Since it is really a farce and we, as well as the ISU, know it. Why not have 5 or 6 nominees in the short list to include more fan favourites (and pairs). This way they can at least make some fans excited that their favourites are nominated. The ISU are so incompetent, they don't even know how to lie convincingly

While I am certain that the TPs and judges will do whatever they want anyway regardless of the rules, I am happy with the changes made. The ISU are acknowledging the issues in the sport that we have been discussing for a while now. This is always a good thing and I will be an optimist on this one and hope that the next step will be accountability for the judges. The rules are good and they are addressing problems one by one. Hopefully they will finally look at the judges and fix that problem as well.

Guys, do you remember a song made by the Chinese fans about being a Yuzu fan (the one with cute drawings)? It was shared here when the Planet was first created and we even joked about making it our anthem . Anyone have a working link to it? I bookmarked it on YouTube back then but apparently it is no longer there and I don't know how to search for it. So, if anyone can help me find it I will be really grateful.

I think we are all voting with our feelings in this one. There is a very strong emotional connection to both the Olympics and 4CC 2020 performances.

With whom would you like Yuzuru Hanyu to skate?

I am actually fine with changing the format of the competition and the requirements of the programs. I think they should do it every four years to keep things fresh and to stop people from finding loopholes and ways to cheat the system. What I disagree with is the claim that this is a way to fix the issue the sport suffers from currently which is totally the fault of the ISU and judges not applying their own rules. I am a big fan of the IJS (except for the PC cap, this one is stupid and unfair) and have always defended it and do think it is a very good system for a sport like FS. However, for it to work correctly it requires integrity , competency and cooperation from all people involves whether they were judges, officials or skaters and their teams. The changes they are proposing are just dressing the problem with a different outfit but it still the same ugly inside. Nothing will make it look good unless the fundamental problems are addressed. This actually reminds me of the videos about PC that were posted by the ISU before when they discussed PC judging and common mistakes. It was clear then that they knew exactly what was wrong and they even talked about it and warned the judges (gently) about many of the things we frequently complain about. But when it comes to enforcing the rules in the real competitions they pretend that everything is fine and the judges are doing things correctly but the skaters are the ones who are doing too many quads or whatever so the scoring is wacky. I think that the ISU truly lost control of the sport and it is totally in the hands of the stronger feds and all they are doing now is pretending to do something to save face and keep their jobs.

Is this really necessary. We are all being positive here and trying to have fun with the upcoming competition. did you have to be so pessimistic? Yuzu did what he thought is best, whether it is just to win or to get out of the negative mind space he was probably in after Nats, it doesn't matter. As for World, there is still time to worry about it later. We have 4CC now so lets please focus on that and try to be positive for our health and peace of mind.

The whole thing is just crazy and I love it

Chopin and Seimei? Sure.. Why not? As long as he is happy and comfortable with it I am on board with anything. After GPF and JNat, I just want him to be happy. So... Go Yuzu

I usually use the "unread content" to find new things on the forum. Since yesterday the option to show the results in condensed format stopped working. Now it is expanded all the time and it take a lot more space.

Let's just say that I live in a country that have a very good chance of a podium at the worst passport Olympics I do think I have a chance if Yuzu went to Europe since I did get a visa before so a second one should be possible. But North America and Asia are impossible. I really hope he continues competing long enough for me to get to see him live at least once. It is my dream

Any magical solutions to visa problems

Happy new year everyone May the new year be the best year ever, and the beginning of more better years to come for Yuzu and all of us

Nathan has the one thing that Yuzu wants, consistency of landing his quads. He is also watching the Russian girls who are also known for their consistency with delivering difficult layouts, so it is obvious that this is the question he is trying to answer. I mean, he did actually identify what makes Nathan consistent and considered putting less transitions in his programs after ACI but decided that it was not his way after all.

I've been really sad and heartbroken since the FS at JNat. That loss hit me really hard and watching the performance was very painful that I avoided everything associated with it for two days. Now, I am a bit calmer and have been thinking about it and just realised, it is not the loss that I find upsetting but the fact that he couldn't perform like he wanted to, or like we know he could. For me, Yuzu has always been an inspiration to do my best no matter the circumstances. To push through and show everyone what I am capable of regardless of the results. To aim higher and improve without waiting for others approval. To be the best I can be for myself and for the people who believe in me. This time, I feel that even though he tried, he couldn't do that. Yuzu is so much better that what he showed that day and he knows it. This is nowhere near Yuzu's real potential. I think that is what hurts most, not that he lost, but that he was not able to put out a performance he is proud of. So, my wish for Yuzu for the new year is health and happiness as well as to have the performances he always dreamed of. May all his time on ice and off ice be a joyful time with only progress and improvement in the future Also Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all the satellites in the Planet. May all of your wishes and dreams come true

About r*****t, we know it is inevitable, but why dwell on it. Lets enjoy the present and Yuzu competing while we still have it. It will happen when it will happen and nothing we can do to change that so we shouldn't let it ruin the current experince for us.

Wait, did he really say that he wants to go to 4CC? When? Where? There is real hope that he may go?
