Can we move on quickly from 2003, that was an awful year for me and I was a teen at the time so what does that make me? A yuzu pic to keep this on topic source: http://pamigena.tumblr.com

I actually did well overall considering how this season went and you are right @Joey many times I had a good idea who may medal but chose to put skaters who I hoped would win, just because I wanted to positive and believe in them (or was just naive and thought the judges will do their job properly )

Yuzu withdrawal is real I nearly bought a Yuzu ice cream tub just now. It is almost 0 degrees outside and I would have had to eat it immediately because I have no room in the freezer (to keep it until summer) and I have a cold Thankfully I still have some self control left or I would have died

I would definitely ask him about his studies since I am very curious about it. His field of study is similar to mine (human computer interaction) and we both have interest in psychology and education, so I think we can have an interesting discussion. I would love to know how he relates what he is learning in school to his skating and what he thinks about using technology in FS for training or even judging... I guess that is enough, I should stop here before I end up writing an essay and expose how much of a nerd I am

Very important news from SA I want pictures

Thank you for clarifying I wish Med a quick recovery and hopefully she will consider withdrawing if she is still not ready by GPF, though I doubt it will happen considering that she didn't even skip the gala Get well soon Zhenya

[Article] Quads: Quality Trumps Quantity by Noriko Shirota
Neenah replied to ¯\_(ツ)_/¯'s topic in Translations
Thank you very much, that was a great read -
Can someone please provide details. What is wrong with her?
-
Wow, you learn something new every day.. Thanks @axelnojutsu
-
How did you do that?!!!!
-
Nooooooooo please don't I wanted to use that one but it was to big and the text too small

I am actually more productive now that I know there won't be any competitions, practice reports, or other stuff that keeps me on the forum and social media for most of the day I can easily ignore everything other than the live streams of the GP's and even for those I am not very invested, so now I have more time and can focus better on my thesis I am not going to be banned for this am I ?

I had a much worse splat fest in my predictions than the men had yesterday, this is my lowest score yet I have to admit though that after watching these disasters unfold one after another, I am starting to enjoy it. I think FS finally broke me

I think we are mixing two different things in these discussions. what Yuzu needs and what Yuzu wants are not always the same thing and we know that he gets what he wants Also, if Yuzu does think that he needs the 4Lz then he is most likely is correct. That guy's crystal ball is the real thing and he always knew what would happen before anyone else. He even proven his own coach wrong when he insisted on the 4L that Brian did not want and we all know how that worked out Anyway, I am sure everything will depend on his physical condition. So we will see what happens at Nationals Yuzu is smart and I trust his decisions Auto correct changed coach to couch, I don't think Brian will like that very much
-
Ture, we are all worried but we need to be positive and to trust his team. If we keep thinking about his pain and speculate about his recovery we will only makes ourselves more anxious which will help no one. Let's try and send him positive vibes and encouragement together
-
Guys, I really feel sorry that you had to go through that pain with ankle injuries but you really are not helping Also, Yuzu is probably used to this so I don't think it is the same for him. As long as it is healed and they are not worried about further damage, he should be fine to go back to training
-
This is gold.. Thank you for sharing
-
This is perfect.. Someone should make one for Yuzu
-
I bet the problem is actually with Javi and not Yuzu. Brian has mentioned before that he gets demotivated by failer and we know he got spooked by the scores at worlds. So it makes sense that he would find it demoralizing watching Yuzu practicing the 4Lz and his 5 quad layout every day. Yuzu on the other hand gets more motivated by others so I don't think that practicing with Javi is any problem to him.
-
Since it is Yuzu the king of extra, he will probably take off and not come back down at all
-
Those same people who are so concerned for Yuzu health now and think he is so good he can have less BV and win easily, are the ones who were last season talking about how he is too old to learn new jumps and how he has the easiest quads while the youngster were jumping 4Lz and 4F. They know that the only way to beat Yuzu is by having a much higher BV and him making mistakes (which is quite possible), so it is to their favorites advantage that he lowers his BV. I think that the 4Lz was Yuzuru's best PR move (the other was the unexpected WR at ACI). He showed the world that was writing him off and belittling his abilities to promote the younger quadsters that he is still on top of his game and can match those kids and even be better. I know the 4Lz is risky and he may drop it (at least for nationals) due to the injury, but landing it and showing everyone that he can was very important.

You are missing the mandatory skating reference
-
I am not saying it is fair but he was obviously allowed to do it so we can't really call it cheating

Here you can find my question (it is the first one) on this forum and you can read the answers yourself Here is an interesting post explaining blades sharpening and position mentioning Shoma as well http://figureskatingask.tumblr.com/post/164495902412/hi-i-have-some-questions-about-skates-and
