I like what I saw in that clip of Nathan. He clearly suit to modern, upbeat music better. Hopefully the rest of program will be good too, if its his SP.

Jun's costume look ok in picture, but in motion, that see-through back is a big no His jumps are really tight today, but its kind of expected since its still July and considering he has boot problem. The score are very tight, I think he will win tomorrow. Great to see Soyoun skate well. I love her dress Korean ladies always have gorgeous dress. I also like Dabin's costume ~

Here you are : http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4zi3pr I think if we analyzed his every single move, we would see a mix of 50 songs in his programs

Seem like Yelim Kim really went with Alina's strategy, backload everything. It will be interesting to see how people react to these unbalanced programs when she skate at JGP. I like Eunsoo's LP, much better than her SP Not really surprise to see Jun's ur call since some of his quad and 3-3 look borderline in practice, early in season maybe. His costume is ok but someone please burn that gloves

Uhm at Skate canada, he did some of his R&J1 movement when Han Yan did his LP run through. He even did the same to Boyang's music at 4CC. Maybe he gonna bring back R&J 1 or skate to Spiderman or La strada ?

I like Jun's FS music cut, and there's some nice choreo and movement. The 2nd half is still empty and I would like to see more transitions, but its still early in the season. Meanwhile, his SP is .... boring, both choreo and music ( why they have to pick this boring cover ???). I think Jun look a bit faster, his 4T is ok, and I everytime I see his 3A. Others triples are nice, but he still flutz. As for ladies, Eun Soo stand out the most to me. She improve alot since Junior worlds. Can't wait to see her in JGP. ( There's alot skating this weekend but unfortunately I'm on a trip now )

The pre-Worlds simulations at TCC is an open event, that's mean if Yuzu did it, media and fans would camped there, and no matter how he skate, it would add more pressure to him.

I think Yuzuru know about BV, Goe, pcs, politics .... more than all of us combine He is the one who compete in this system, he has a very experience team, those who has been in this sport for years. We try to calculate the scoring potential, using previous marks, but for sure, Yuzuru already did it, many time. Remember he looked at his score right after his skate and discuss with Brian at Skate canada, or analyzed his WR protocols and highlighted all 10 he got . He said after WC he would think really carefully about his strategy in Oly season. Whether how he up his BV, I'm sure he spend a lot of time to come up with that decision, and its the best for him, just like he decide to bring back Ballade. I just hope he stay healthy this season, both physically and mentality

Totally agree with you. But then its still too early, we dont know how much Nathan would improve in summer. Better wait until competitions begins. Yeah one thing for sure, US fed/media will hype him up like crazy, with all those balletic articles and somehow it may effect to judges. Look at his marks at 4CC, 89 pcs for an empty LP and he's not even clean. I would not surprise if he get 92+ pcs for even emptier program with 6-7 landed quads. Tbh next year is his best chance, idk if he could hang on to 2022. Off topic : Just watched Wimbledon (yay Federer !!!) and I think beside all the BV/politics game, the most important thing for all top men (and other 3 disciplines too) is to keep injury- free in the next 7 months. Especially for the men, with all the quads they do, being healthy is the first priority IMO

Oh Lord of Sendai, Hanyu-sama He looks gorgeous in hakama

Who aren't bother by bad jumps ? Uhm some skaters do make it look ok and somehow match to the music, but yeah, I don't like too many crossover, it makes the program look empty and predictable, especially if they have long setup before the jumps . Again, maybe I watch Yuzuru too much so sometimes I expect same things from other skaters

Uhm, Yuzu does look down in H&L, especially in the 2nd half, and his posture could be better. I don't have any problem with that, but I can see why some people feel bother. With an introspective program like H&L, its all depend on Yuzu to make it work, so I think people pay more attention to him, unlike Seimei, its the program can shine on the choreos. But when you have 4 quads 2 3A and crazy transitions everywhere, I guess I couldn't blame him for looking down a bit I don't think all comment point out that is nitpicking ( sure some of them are ), its just thing could be better. His posture improve alot in the past few years, and I think its always the area that he pay alot of attention

I dont doubt she skate at TCC but it doesnt mean her words are automatically right. When its come to Yuzu's music choice, layout I only trust words comes from Yuzu himself and his team. I'm not the type who want to predict base on some random posts. But I know there're always rumors like this in off season, and many people will believe. Nothing wrong with that. Maybe I'm just prefer reading positive things, and tbh the tones about his music choices these days turn me off a bit . But its my own problem. Everyone has right to express their opinion and I respect that
-
I don't know why we have to act like that tumblr post is the official words comes from his team. Tbh anyone could write that. Whether his music choice is, there're people who love it and who don't, compare it to other skaters's music and think he should do this or that. It could be anything, not just repeat or warhorse. ( Sorry if my post offend anyone)

Love the music choice for Wakaba's free. Its really suit her. I hope there's no jump at the part " let the sky fall"

On Gs ? No definitely not me.

Brand new music, say no to warhorse Last year I had a strong feeling about Joe Hisaishi's music, especially Howls and Mononoke Hime. Its turned out to be Hope&Legacy. For the past 2 weeks, I have the same feeling about Final Fantasy (VII and X). Lets see

Thank you @gladi for your translation again Its very interesting to know about a bit from their process to make a program. I couldn't imagine how many time they spend on music cut, especially its completely new music piece, never done before like Seimei and H&L. The timing, length for each elements, its must went through many adjustments. I used to edit music for some of my projects and to choose background music for a 2-3 mins video is basically a pain, let alone the editing part after that . And this is the first time I know that they combine 2 track into 1 in Seimei. Amazing I think both Seimei and H&L are programs that Yuzu and Shae Lyn put alot of efforts, thoughts into and its really mean so much to them I'm looking forward to part 2

Oh, Mirai skate to Madame butterfly in 2014/15, and Satoko had Miss Saigon that season. So basically they just switch music this season -
Tbh I would love to see Yuzu's 4 types of quad layout than 5quads. Reasons are the same : less change, less risk, still way higher bv. I think Patrick will focus on 2quad SP more. As for Javi, you're right. At the beginning of last season, most people still thought his strategy was right, but I think the quad race turned out wilder than anybody could expect
-
Uhmm a 3 type of quads layout would up their current BV around 5 points, and around 2-3 more points with 4 quad layout, depend on how they backload their jumps. I think 4 quad layout is too much risk for Javi and Patrick at this point since they often make mistake with the quad in 2nd half. 3 quad layout with 4Lo/4F, 4S, 4T is safer, no worry about +REP and less change in their current layout.

Lets hope it has less than last season I can't imagine there's miming in chopin music ... Well, I look forward to Averbukh's interview where he may talk about stories behind these programs and its probably unrelated to the music again. Tbh her music last season are nice ( apart from the voiceover in FS of course) but the problem is the choreos ( and all stories that Averbukh try to stick to it didnt help it either) -
Chopin layout in AC/SC 2015 is the original layout (3A//4T 3lz3T) . In 2014/15 season he only attempted this layout at COC 2014 and have to change it (4T// 3A 3lz3T) because of injuries/collision. He went back to original layout at the beginning of 20155/16 season but after getting zayak at SC 2015, he decided to get rid of that lutz combo and upgrade it into 2 quads layout (4S 4T3T//3A)
