Grand Prix assignments and how they work
Katt replied to sublimeskating's topic in Knickknacks: General Skating Chat
Oh Yuzuru, Egvenia, Sui/Han, Virtue/Moir aka four reigning world champions will be at NHK trophy -
Ohh too much news today Thanks to Yuzuru, I'm having my dinner at 10pm

There's still Autumn Classic ....

Ohoho I get it right for top 3 men . Ohly mess up for Nathan and Javi ( I predict COR for Javi and COC for Nathan)

Thank you for your great insight . In LGC, I felt Yuzu need to skate in fast speed in the whole program. With Chopin, he moves gently and graceful for the 1st half and get faster during the stsq, the same thing with PW. When I heard LGC for the 1st time, I used to afraid that Yuzu couldn't pull off the extra energy while doing difficult steps, but he got it at NHK, GPF and Worlds, despite the error.

I dont think Yuzu will do SA, US fed want Boyang there to push their skaters into podium as many as they can.Plus, he might want to avoid SA+GP+National in just 1 month. I bet on COR+NHK, but SC+TEB is possible too. -
Swan lake is one of rare warhorse that I never get tired of it. But well, I dont think Yuzuru will skate to overused music next season. .Yuzuru said he try to find the music that won't affect too much to the performance even when he make mistakes. So I think he will back to his dramatic style. It might be an OST. If he skate to Vitali's chaconnen, I would die happily

That cover ...

He does skated to alot Jpop songs. The only jpop programs I like from Yuzuru are Hana ni nare and Hana wa saku. I think he still choose TCC. Its not only about the jump, Brian has better reputation/influence than chinese coachs.

There're 1 pianist and the other 2 are singers. I think Yuzu will skate 1 collab program, and the other might be the Swan, or LGC

A chopin ex would be the best thing ever But I think he will get another jpop ex, given his passionate lip sync skills

I dont think 4lz is beyond him either. His 4lo around 2015-16 season didn't has perfect landing. And after boston he's off ice for a few months and have to re learn his jumps from singles. In September we saw great 4lo with Yuzu-quality landing. I think if he focus on traning 4lz this summer, he can get it. And unlike 4lo, he have plenty footages of 4lz from other skaters (hi, Boyang ). I think Yuzu will decide his layout depend on the success rate of 4lz. That's why he won't skate his new programs at ice show

And +0.09 GOE for that flawless 1A Who need quad when you have a delay single axel
-
Yeah, his WTT FS is so iconic lol, 200+ with 2 single jumps . I remember he said somewhere that, it the past he would try to rotate the jump then fall but now he's more careful about his body. He pop his 4lo and 4S at skate canada, and didn't tack the combo because he's trying to protect himself from injuries. I think the injury after Boston plays a part too. Hopefully he can find a way to fix that.

The thing with low BV is you really need a great consistency, like Evgenia, Satoko, and none of the men is that consistent. High BV will give you a little cushion on mistake, like some bad landing/step out, even will the fall. Pop jump is the most dangerous thing right now. Nathan had 2 falls at WC but he still get 110 TES because he rotated all his jumps. This season, when Patrick/Javi make some mistakes, they will off podium because of their low BV since their PCS/GOE are almost max out. Yuzu's new WR comes purely from his BV, not GOE and PCS. So in the end it all comes down to BV. Judges can give a couple lower goes,spin/step level but a 4lo will always worth 12 points, i don't think they dare to give Yuzu an UR if he stays on his feet. Edit : I dont think Patrick will add 4F though I really want to see it. He hasn't skate clean with his current LP layout and next season, his main focus should be 2quads SP.

I have a weird feeling about swan lake too, maybe after those black blades and the wing on it. A black swan program would be awesome

Not to mention, Yuzu does compete alot after winning OGM. For 3 seasons, he only WD from 2 competitions, 1 senior B, 1 Nationals. Plushy only cameback in 2009-10 season. And I think Yuna had the same problem, she rarely competed after Vancouver. She is the queen when it comes to deliver at the right times, but if she compete more, her PCS and GOE might be high enough to put her above Adelina.

Look at that leg extension I live for this perfect landing

Tbh its the same thing with his 3A. That jump is always a thing of beauty but it took many years for him to get a full +3 GOE. The one in PW didn't get any +3 as far as I remember. Only last season (and COC2014) he start to get max GOE on some of his quads and 3A. But once the pandora box is opened, everyone can get it. A SE before 3A and a decent landing and BAM ... +3 across the board. Its a bit unfair for him And if he dare to take out some difficult entries or transitions, they will punish him in just a blink Sorry I'm so bitter every time I think about Yuzu's GOE

I love "Empire of Angels" too. There're many good song in Two step from hell series. Epic, drama, powerful

I have been in kpop fandom for years and these kind of comments appear almost everyday. Well, I bet if those people see Yuzu in real life, they would be the first one who run to him and ask for a sign

You're hereeeeeeeeee Ok this emoji make me want to rewatch some titatic programs

May be next season 2A will replace 3A as a new rule and that might stop his dominance

I got surprise when I saw Yuzuru did Biellmann too. I mostly focused on ladies before and in my mind, only ladies do this position lol . I still remember after Nice, many people thought he would drop it next season,or when he's 20. But now, he's 22 and still do Biellmann and it even get better
