  1. Oh yes, I like the way he drop his leg right now. In the past its look like" enough rotations needed, finally I can get rid of this" lol. I would love if he can work a bit in transition between donut and sit spin during the 1st spin in the free :D
  2. As for Yuzuru, I think his sit spins are strongest, then camel, and upright are a bit weaker. His spin might be slower in competition but its rarely travel and he has no problem in hitting position. His speed and hand choreos during sit spins are gogeous His leg extension in camel spin is lovely too . Sometime I wish Yuzu should drop Biellmann but when he took it out (4CC, WTT), I felt like something's missing lol
  3. Well, if Nathan and Shoma both skate well or make the same amount of mistake, I can see Nathan place above Shoma. US fed is stronger than JSF, tech panel can give Shoma edge call/UR, low GOE and you can't argue that's wrong. Its easier to call Shoma's jumps than Nathan's. Don't underestimate anyone in Big6. Who can predict Nathan come this far, or Boyang actually defend his bronze ? And next season, maybe Vincent will become another threat. Its too early to worry about anything. Whatever is going to happen will happen. I'm way more excited about Faoi, we will see Yuzu skate next week
  4. After Gpf, Javi's in spain at the end of 2016 to do nationals and his ice show so there's high chance that he didn't know. They both backed at toronto almost at the same time, their traning schedule are different, and Yuzu's not the type who go around and say " hey I got flu so I had to wd nationals". Tbh I dont think its a big deal
  5. Love the banner Thank you for all your hard work Next season he might compete alot in Asia : NHK-GPF-National-Olympic, although World's in Italy but that's too far. That let only 1 GP and 1 Senior B left, so I think it will be 1 in Europe, 1 in Canada like Autumn Classic - COR- NHK. Or maybe he will follow the same path in 2013 : Finlandia trophy - SC - TEB
  6. I think he will do COR and NHK. My guess : Yuzu vs Javi at COR and Yuzu vs Pchan at NHK. Enough for drama On the other hand, I'm sure Boyang will have COC and SA (I admit I post this just for the sake of using new emoji)
  7. Thank you Fresca for all your explanations  When I see Nathan' jumps, the 1st thing in my mind is he really has problem with his hip. He seem to rely a lot on rotation speed to complete the jump and the result is his upper body is so stress on his landing. Actually, its not only him, a few youngster have this problem when they jump quad/3a, too (Shoma, Vincent, even Jun Hwan Cha have it sometimes). As for Shoma's jump, I think Kurt have some comments about it like he twist his knee and shift his upper body to the left to control the landing (I couldn't remember when he said it). Its sound a bit scary and reading Fresca's post... seem like its even worse :s_sad
  8. @Dara : thank you. The only things I remember from 2015-16 season's communication are the change in BV for UR quad and 3T/3S. Tbh, the judges barely use the step rule, so this change won't affect much.
  9. Yeah. You're right. Why they have to make the rule more subjective when its come to TES. Tbh judges barely give negative goe for solo jump if that come from top skater. Mostly low rank skaters are punished by this step rule. Edit : I just read again. Actually, there's still deduction for no step before solo jump : So you still need to do steps before solo jump. But no need to do really difficult steps. Just creative/interesting is enough ????
  10. I think its mostly means no combo will receive -3 GOE, this rule already apply this season. The 1Lo was marked as invalid but if they give negative goe for a pop, they have to count the base value for 1lo as well. So 0.5 - 0.3= 0.2. Yuzu's SP score at WTT still almost the same. As for the rule before solo jump... from "difficult" to "creative, interesting" :problem: We might see skater do a dozen of crossovers and shout "Arigatou" to the judges right before the jump. Creative enough for max goe
  11. Its Japanese fan. The author said so. The article is a bit all over place. I think I read the similar one last year though.
  12. New PJ Kwong Podcast with Takeshi Honda : http://www.openkwongdore.com/2017/05/08 ... shi-honda/
  13. @ breadstal : Thank you for your info ^^ I think Jun get choreograph from David Wilson again. His LP this season is ok, the sp is not my cup of tea though. His 3lo is good but idk if he get enough height to turn it into quad. Didn't he hurt his hip by training 4lo before national ? Anyway, I hope he won't get rush with quads. He still young and his chance will be at 2022. And yes I think Jun will get 2 GPs, one of them will be at COC or NHK. My guess : SC and NHK
  14. Yeah, I think Jun will get Nebelhorn, it will be his senior debut too. Any news on his programs next season ?
  15. I usually watch fancams too see skater's ice coverage, jump and speed. And yes, this year 4CC had alot of fancams with great quality. I think I watched almost all of them lol. For me, both Shoma and Nathan look better in TV recording, and their music help them a bit. Shoma has good SS and posture, his upper body movements are great but the range is limited. I like him when he's still junior, his interpretation and movement had more freedom IMO. Nowadays, he focuses too much on quads, his programs are emptier and his performance suffer a bit. Yuzu looks better in fancam, and I have no doubt that he's much more impressive in live.Patrick always looks great. I'm surprise that Javi look quite slow in fancam. As for the ladies, Osmond really change my opinion when I watch her fancam at worlds. I hope to watch them live in competition one day to know if my impressions are true  As for Japanese ladies, everytime I think about olympic team, its just remind me how they robbed Wakaba so hard in the SP at worlds
  16. I would love to see if this happened. Imagine all those carrots and edge calls
  17. Totally agree. Those unrealistic expectations are just ridiculous. He even got so much bashing at ACI - a senior B at the beginning of season when everybody bomb left and right. I read a comment about when judges give GOE for Yuzu, they compare it to his best to lower his mark while with other skaters, they compare them to their worst and boost as much as they can. Can't say I'm not agree with that :nah: I think Yuzuru know all these things, I mean there's no way he can not know anything. Thats why this WC gold is so important for him. I hope he train smart and healthy. Just recall this time last year make me realize nothing's more important than his health
  18. I remember at NHK last year, when Yuzu landed both 4lo, 4S, Jackie Wong tweeted " Are we gonna see new WR today" and I'm like People will always complain unless he's perfect ( and they still do it when he's clean). And if he go clean, there will be " oh he peak too soon". If he don't, there will be hundred essays of "he's headcase, 74428232 skaters gonna beat him soon"
  19. Oh La Strada....and all those tanos. I hope she doesn't tano everything in JGP :s_sad On the other note, Marin will get new program (s) from David Wilson.
  20. This is insane :omg: I think Yuzuru will upgrade his BV. He can be behind by 2-3 point, but more than that (6-8 pt) would be a big issue.
  21. I'm all for 4 quad lp with 4lz. The 2nd is basically the same with small change : 3A2T -> 3A3T, without the risk of losing BV if he fall on quad. I think he will keep the same layout for SP. I don't think he will do 4lo3t, he might want to train 4lz as many as possible so there's no need to learn new combo.
  22. Shoma's BV at Worlds is 104.74 (Yuzu's 103.43). Both of them manage to perform their plan BV for the 1st time in the season, I think.
  23. Other than Evgenia, Alina and maybe Mai, all other girls could be inconsistent at some points. Gabby and Osmond's weakness are their LP, especially Osmond. I think Lena still have a good chance, as for others, I agree we need to see how they will do.
  24. Well, I think I trust Russian girls a bit more but I hope Japanese and canadians girls do well so we will have exicting competions next season :D
  25. We might see 5 russian girls at next GPF :s_crazy: .
