  1. Good choice of music. Hoping for a good choreos too (and less miming) Edit : the SP its the violin version, so its the same as Mirai's SP. I would like to see the piano version ....
  2. That extra 1cm surely cause alot of discussions . Tbh I find those height on skater's bio can be a bit inaccurate. It could be +/-3cm to their real height. My kpop bias was listed as 174cm in his bio when he debuted, and 2 years later, they changed it to 170cm and most people meet him said he's 168 cm . And Yuzuru bulk up alot in the past 2 season it may help him to look taller. IMO I think he's around 173-174 cm
  3. Thats the olympic season for you and its just the 2nd day of new season
  4. Mirai Nagasu keep her Chopin SP, but different piece of course. I dont think anyone will skate to Chopin Ballade other than Yuzu this season.
  5. Ohhhhh ~~~ I really like Yuna's music, especially her FS. Satoko will do well with Madame butterfly I think although I want her to keep the planet FS ( and thanks god its Tom Dickson, not Lori). As for Marin.... why turandot (I getting more and more positive about Ballade 3.0 since most of music choices this season are )
  6. I'm not really fond of comments about "Asia advantage" because to me, there's no body type only has all advantages. Like you said, there're non asian skaters have quite good knee bend, like Javi. Meanwhile, Nathan, Vincent, Nam Nguyen are all Asian descent but their knee are so stiff. Maybe Its up to skaters themselves to use their "advantage" After all, the most important thing its still the technique. Look at Patrick, he doesn't have a lean body-type, but his jumps are big and soft (when he's on) and his other skills are great. As for Yuzu, the only thing that may make him a little bit different from other lean skaters is his extreme small hip/slim waist IMO. Its really stand out when he build the muscle on his upper body . I still remember a comment on FSU in Eteri's article that Yuzu's ability to train like he does come from within himself, not just his culture. And I agree with that. Not to mention, Yuzu has asthma.
  7. Yeah It make me really admire him and other skaters. They have to follow insane training/work out schedule and strict diet to keep their form *Meanwhile, I need another snickers bar *
  8. Yes, to see his bare legs ( and some of other top skaters) freak me out. Those quad powers
  9. I'm not surprise to see his muscle, since last season I already noticed his legs have bulked up. You can see it when he did the lunge. His shoulders/chest are a bit bigger too and that's make his slim waist even more stand out All those muscles make him look healthier (and its look nice too ), and I think at Faoi this year, he looks fitter than he usually was in off season (My friend says when young men have muscle, almost all of them tend to be very obsessed with it and nothing can stop them from work out )
  10. I'm not sure about the edges, but yeah in 2011 he's already really fast (in 2011-12 I think Kozuka had deeper edges but Yuzu had better speed). But at that time Yuzu didn't know how to control it. He usually went all out in the 1st half of the program and his 2nd half were way slower (FS only), sometimes I felt he used almost all his energy in practices . Javi was soooooo slow back then. Both of them really improve alot
  11. And he got 36 pcs for that performance Every time I see people complain about x or y skaters (men only) are underscored in pcs, it just remind me of COC's Etude and yes, I'm salty ( He was robbed a medal there too)
  12. Seem like Yuna Shiraiwa will do Asia trophy ( sorry, couldn't find the source )
  13. Oh I always love to see more options when its come to layout/BV *I love math* With the men's field these days, anything can happen. Thank you for spending time to do this
  14. This is the most likely scenario in this season. I dont think we will see Patrick do 4F and Javi do 4Lo in SP. Tbh they don't need it. There's some talk about Patrick's 4F but I don't see it happen. He will do 2 quad SP but the LP might be the same layout. He hasn't skated clean a 3 quads LP and hasn't landed all clean quads in LP so I don't think he will upgrade his free layout. Javi's 4lo in LP is more likely Nathan may try to backload his 4F in 2nd half though.
  15. You should !!!! There're open practices, plus many debuts including Yuzu's FS
  16. Just the same old things when he had a bad performance, even for a CS event when people bomb left and right ( tbh his FS was not good, but its not surprised). After all, he still got highest overall score (and SP too I think) in the whole Challenger series
  17. Tbh his performances at ACI 2015 are really good. Last year, its still better than I expected since he landed both 4lo in SP and FS. He got so much bashing after ACI last year and I'm like " this is the guy who just back from serious injury, 3 months ago he could only jump 1lz or 1lo, and its just a CS event, what do you want from him ???"
  18. Maybe Dice and Yuna didn't confirm which CS event they want with JSF. Its still June, they can announce it until August.
  19. Me too. I think Javi said somewhere that he went to this season without much confident, like he didn't know what to do ( pls correct me if I'm wrong). And he looked really tired in this whole season. Maybe not having a medal at WC is a good sign for him. He's already reduce the amount of ice shows in off season and the 4lo talk seems very positive for me.At least he's training and consider to put it in LP
  20. His skating skill is gorgeous I think I heard Kenji comment about his footwork and twizzle after his performance in Kobe broadcast. I'm still not sold by the first spin timing but he said this is show's version and not final form so I'm sure they would add many details/changes in summer. I love the way he throw himself into the step sequence, so much freedom and emotion . I'm so looking forward to see this program in competition, in large ice rink where his speed is not limited like an ice show's rink
  21. Thank you for your translation @gladi. His interview are great as always and I love the way he express his thought. I see that his new Chopin was skated with more emotion and if he think he can improve it even more, I trust and support his decision. Go, go Ballade 3.0 As for the FS, I read about that tumblr's post and tbh I don't think much about it. I prefer to wait until his OP than predicting base on unrelieable source. Remember last week when he visited Seimei shrine and they said they would put his ema only a week later, how many people are so sure about Seimei 2.0 and he would skate his Fs at FAOI ? But then, nothing happened. It might be Seimei 2.0 in the end, but I will think about its pros/cons when I see it
  22. Awwwwww what a lovely photo All the feels I need to watch H&L at WC again
  23. I still think he won't reveal his LP at ice show, lets save it for his OP in fall . I don't any thought about Seimei 2.0 yet since there's no confirmation from reliable source.
  24. Yeah, the tweet about him at Yuzuruha Shrine appeared around 3pm JST. If he did go to Seimei Shrine I think its another day, no ?
