Speaking for myself, I simply assumed from the beginning that Yuzu went home to Sendai at the very earliest opportunity after World's got cancelled. There was zero reason for him to stay in Canada, and he had work to do in Japan. I didn't do that out of a need to pinpoint his location or anything like that. It's just that it was the sensible and logical thing for him to do, and despite him being a madman who challenges 4A, he does seem to be a sensible and logical person otherwise. Of course we won't get *official* confirmation. We don't need it. It's not our business.

YouTube is planning to get rid of community subtitling, I heard on Twitter. So translation might get a bit more difficult to find.
-
Given that at this point, Yuzu seems to be Ice Rink Sendai's biggest donor, I can't imagine him having trouble getting ice time there...

She'll just find a fresh crop of gullible kids to start over with.

General Skating Chat

Possibly. It's also entirely possible they put their whole 'Volunteers' page on autopilot months ago and this is just coming up automatically...either way, I'll soon find out. As for Skate America, I can't see how they expect to hold it. My understanding is that Las Vegas has been hit by COVID pretty badly....unless they move it to somewhere less infected? Alaska, maybe?- 6,825 replies

General Skating Chat

On that note, SCI just opened their call for volunteers and I submitted my application. Who knows if it'll take place but at least I have my dog in the race, so to speak...- 6,825 replies

My dear satellites, I'm now simultaneously in both tears and stitches!!!

Something on the pipe organ, played heavily in minor key, set off by violin wails and orchestral screams. Maybe with a few bats flying around for good measure.

Lucky Plush, now he'll have all these built-in babysitters/extra coaches for Sasha.

The only part of this post by T*L that isn't obvious from the available news is the 'I heard on Monday' part, which of course is unverifiable.

A not-quite quad FLutz solves all the world's ills, don't you know. Eh. They were probably thinking something along the lines of having 3A do side-by-side, well, 3A. Or some such

Exactly.

Eteri said exactly that in the TASS interview. She claims the whole team 'wasted a week' on Kostornaia's choreography when they could have been spending it with someone else. All I can say is, if Alena is as much of a problem as Eteri is claiming, she isn't going to last very long with Plush, who gives the impression that he isn't about to put up with spoiled behaviour. But then again I don't believe Eteri's claims, so... Also, Eteri's claim that Plush now gets ready made athletes to go to the Olympics with is also questionable...because this pandemic has changed everything and there's no guarantee of anything at all anymore.

Wow, she's a peach of an employer, too, eh?

I never would have thought of that. So it's not just for holding the LGC hair in place, huh?
-
Brian doesn't really know either, and has said as much. About the dandelions - anytime I've picked puffy ones, they fall apart as I'm picking them. So I'm impressed if someone can do it without dropping any fluff.

All joking aside, it's really disappointing that a full-grown adult needs to expose their business dirty laundry on social media as a way of justifying themselves all the time. Coaches and athletes have personality conflicts, people change coaches, it's part of sport. The public doesn't need to know every detail. The fact that Team Tutberidze doesn't seem to understand this is the worst part of it all.

Okay, now I want to know how someone got them all in the glass without losing any of the fuzz. Totally unrelated thought.

Oh no! Not that! Oh the humanity!

You never know, 2020 has been so weird. But we owe RusFed a vote of thanks for keeping us all so entertained. It's a public service they're doing, really.
-
You mean she's getting a mind of her own. I really think that's the issue here. Once a skater is old enough to have their own opinions, Eteri doesn't want to know them.
-
I read her rant and holy cow... it really sounds like Eteri demands unquestioning obedience and mindless loyalty from her skaters. No wonder she doesn't have any adults under her tutelage... there's a limit to how long someone can be blindly led around...
