  1. I bet the others wish they could be there too.
  2. I feel like they'll be handled differently. For starters, it will probably be stadiums instead of arenas, and clearly laid-out price tiers, as was the case for PtD
  3. Definitely in the bigger cities. Probably because they're easy destinations for people to get to from places where there's no shows being held, like Canada.
  4. Yeah, so that was instructive but a waste of time. For future reference: the GA floor standing only tickets are soundcheck, and have a fixed price around $400 to $500 and come with the usuall soundcheck perks. The fan presale, fixed-price, 'cheap' tickets are in back half of all the sections, or in nosebleeds. These run from $64 to $122 The first four rows of every section, at least, seem to be "official platinum" - aka dynamic pricing - and the prices are WILD. They run the gamut from $250 to $999. Just insanity. Also, looks like Washington DC is not a popular venue - still lots available there after an hour
  5. I'm in. There's literally nothing left except general admission, floor, standing onky, $471.10
  6. Queue is long! I missed the opening of the queue and when I joined, I was 12000+ in line Update: I'm now 8013th in the queue and Ticketmaster has posted a notice that ticket availability is limited. Update at 20 minutes in: now I'm #3980 in the queue
  7. For those who might be interested, I'm currently signed into the waiting page for TXT's 'Act: Promise' presale. I'm trying for one of the New York shows but owing to not being completely made of money, I'm doing this more to have a look than to buy a ticket. because
  8. The more I look into it on Twitter, the more convinced I am. Also,
  9. Plus he posted that he was in Nashville or somewhere like that during Worlds
  10. Yup. The people organizing that particular protest action have completely lost the plot. Definitely antis amongst them as opposed to genuine activism
  11. I just read that Donovan said on his Instagram that this Montréal Worlds is the first time his parents have ever come to one of his competitions outside of Mexico to watch him skate. 🥹
  12. What the HELL! Not Kaori casually announcing she trains quad loop basically for fun .
  13. One more thing about the Men's free skate: they played Blinding Lights during the judges introductions again 🤣 Someone out there inside the ISU or the event organizers thinks exactly the same way we do about Yuzu's scoring
  14. Great interview with Deanna: https://sports.yahoo.com/40-old-just-became-oldest-182620188.html?soc_src=social-sh&soc_trk=tw&tsrc=twtr&guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly90LmNvLw&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAIjUtRLLxEOLmFs3kPfYMjx0UGv_3ewzmuc-ODvjVB4ZqOaaSUHkOwRBWDs72-d5d0hZJW78g62wqLIXLkV9n36tLu-u6a07-SmXMyZ-2nIwZH_SbCdqmcDaRZcsG4libip5fQ6LAfk5I3M8ryZ8839ZhJRSGfKeLgseNfMjK-_i I didn't realize Max was also a bit on the older side. Makes me wanna cheer for them even more
  15. Thank you, and @TallyT is correct; it's not something that needs to become a fight amongst us.
  16. Not to mention the $10,000 or so I've spent traveling to comps etc to see him.... but that's really not relevant. Here's the issue: I'm a fanyu, but Yuzu is *not* my religion. He's someone I admire greatly and consider to be an amazing human being. But it makes me deeply uncomfortable to witness how some folks here on the Planet - and elsewhere - speak of him as if he were literally a deity*. It borders on blasphemy, it perturbs both my conscience and my soul, and we all should realize full well that it would alarm Yuzu if he became aware of it. Love him, admire him, spend your time and money on him all you want - but remember that he is *just* another human. One with great gifts and talents, but still, human. Please. * to be clear: I'm not talking about when we jokingly call him a 'god of skating' etc. I do know the difference between joking around and losing the plot, eh?
  17. The only way to fix this is to make the scores completely separate, and have blind, random judging. I.e. no one knows who from the pool of judges will be scoring their skaters beforehand. And have two separate judging pools for TES and PCS. Or, eliminate PCS completely and make it all different aspects of tech. Henni makes a really good case for the fact that most PCS stuff is also tech.
  18. In all fairness, I think Yuzu himself would say the exact same thing, and he would say it straight to Kaori’s face. He's always been supportive of his fellow skaters and shown great respect for Kaori. After all, it's about bloody time the Japanese ladies got out from under the shadow of the highly questionable and most likely doping Russians and got their well-deserved flowers.
  19. Exactly! There's such a difference between skaters expressing themselves and skaters trying to please the judges. It's a rare person that can manage both at the same time
  20. It did something weird to my heart to see Ilia skating as the final star of tbe finale, in the men's champion place. I missed Yuzu being there in that spot. It really felt like now there's a missing piece that will always be missing. I guess that feeling will go away once I manage to get to one of Yuzu's solo shows
  21. Jump off! Adam & Elladj sbs backflips, then Keegan and Elladj one right after the other, over Nam 😁. Max with the flag So one other thing: they had the audience vote for a favorite Gala performance, which Adam (of course, 🥵) won.
  22. Ilia 4A, followed by a cantilever he is clearly still working on. And his raspberry twist thingy Ah 💩
