  1. Seems like Dice Murakami will participate in ACI. (Source says this picture is a clip from Nikkan Sports issued on June 24th.) ETA: and Ryuju Hino is assigned to Ondrej Nepela! Sorry I missed his name.
  3. Plushenko appeared on a Japanese TV show today. He disguised himself as part of a TV crew who visited an ice rink to gather materials for a story on figure skating and surprised his fan and young skaters. Sorry there’s no sub or translation, but you’ll get what’s happening even without them.
  4. Anyone coming back from injury should not be rushed, so if they are cautiously preparing for the season, it’s OK, but I’m anxious for their news. Hope they are doing OK.
  5. Yup. I’m wondering about Sota Yamamoto and Dice Murakami, too.

  7. Congratulations, Hydro! I’ll be waiting to hear your impressions about seeing Yuzu live for the first time!
  9. Marin Honda will make her senior debut at U.S International Figure Skating Classic. She will also participate in Japan Open with Mai Mihara and Shoma Uno. http://www.sponichi.co.jp/sports/news/2017/06/23/kiji/20170623s00079000115000c.html
  10. I think Patrick was bearing a different kind of pressure going into Sochi. Canadian men have never won OGM even though there had been many strong skaters among them, including two two-time Olympic silver medalists and a four-time world champion who landed a quad in a competition for the first time in the history. Before Sochi all of these guys appeared in a TV program talking about how hard it was for them to compete for OGM in their second Olympics and how hard it was to overcome their loss, for Patrick who was going to compete at his second Olympics to win the OGM for the first time as a Canadian man (why did he have to hear such things before going to Olympics…not after coming back from it?) I think such situation would make it harder for a skater to fight through an Olympic season. I remember him saying sorry in kiss and cry after his FS. Yuzu at that time was also bearing a huge pressure because to win the gold medal there was the reason he left his beloved home, and there were many people seeing him as their hope. Now the pressure on his shoulder is immeasurable. I’m not saying the pressure which was on Patrick is bigger than that on Yuzu now or vice versa, but being the dominant skater in domestic field doesn’t necessarily lessen the pressure on the skater's shoulder.
  11. Listened to the podcast, I’ve come to realize how much he loved to compete and what it is to be an Olympian in US. Hope he’ll do great in shows and keep on skating as long as he can!
  13. The WFS you refer to is probably WFS no.78 released in early May. It has an interview with Yuzu and its contents are basically the same as the post-Worlds interview in Quadruple 2017 Extra. I’m not sure if there’s any translation, though.
  15. I saw Adam's instagram story yesterday. It seemed like he drove all the way from Colorado Springs to California. Glad to know he’s back in good shape now.
  16. Oh I see, it’s a drama. Thank you! Looking forward to see the full story somewhere after 24th. I think it’s a bow tie, but at first, for some reasons I imagined Javi wearing this…
  17. From "NO ES UN SÁBADO CUALQUIERA" (I have no idea what kind of program is this...)
