My fear is that Putin will boycott because to allow athletes to compete with support of Russia basically means Russia considers themselves guilty and have complied with the 'punishment'. And I'm not sure Putin would do that. Especially if the political and media information about this scandal in Russia refer to it as unfounded accusations. Sure, they can appeal, but I'm not sure any decision on the appeal will happen before it's too late for the Russian athletes to participate.

I don't know if it will help that they'll still be referred as being from Russia, according to this....

Speaking of birthday gifts, I wonder what TCC will make of a big package containing a 7 meter banner when it arrives there, provided it was sent to TCC (I'm not sure?).
-
Yeah, all these hints that keep coming from insiders that Russia will only be allowed to participate under the neutral flag makes me believe that'll be the decision we'll hear today. But whether Putin allows it or not is less certain.

An entire day waiting for the news for those of us in Europe.

A Team Tutberidze (Zhenya and Alina) feature on Japanese TV. Check out at around 11:17 min for Alina's mindblowing 3Lz-3Lo-3Lo-3Lo combo!

Wishing her a speedy recovery. I don't think she was in the Olys conversation anymore, though, Nationals or not. The Australian Fed has already decided their team; there were news about that a month or two ago. -
Feature on the Japanese ladies fighting for 2 spots for Olympics. In Japanese. Cue the ugly tears because so many good ladies and only 2 spots. Note: Kaori is now in the conversation too, whereas before I think she wasn't mentioned so much.

I was coming to post that too. As I suspected, a fall will likely be given -5 GOE (the 3A there) but how that will translate into factored GOE we shall see. We may never know what results would be like at Tallinn Trophy with the new scale but I'm curious what the bullet points will be for each GOE interval. Right now we have at least 6 out of 8 bullets corresponding to +3. How many bullets would one need for +4 or +5? They'd need to restructure that too.

Honestly, I want the first thing we hear about him to be him jumping quads again because that means he's recovered.

This is an analysis of the Top 7 in WS men's short programs for the season, in Russian. I'm sure it'll be translated eventually but if anyone can check this out, could you also do a quick translation of the tables since they can't be google translated. From what translation gives me from the text itself, Yuzu still retains the highest complexity in the short program, according to this analysis.

LOL, I screwed up the most in Pairs and then my favorite discipline (Men) and moderately so in Ladies. My best results were in Ice Dance, which I don't even really follow. Also, I have managed to not hit a single podium in any discipline correctly. What even...
