Guys, Yuzu was on ice by December 16, according to Kobayashi. Javi said he's recovered and training together. Just believe he's been on ice since then, okay? No need to bring doubts into a confirmation of good news, no matter if Javi-vague-like. Sure, it doesn't mean Yuzu is jumping 20 quads a session again but I doubt he hasn't jumped at all in 3 weeks. Edit: Plus Ambesi also confirmed Yuzu's been on ice for several weeks (I assume since that fated December 16) and he has his sources, so we're good.

Honestly, after my first reaction to the article, I'm more accepting and see the good stuff about it. Could be better (the aimlessness of it) but it could be worse, and it's an in-depth piece on Yuzu that is being promoted by the FS reporters on twitter. And we had that Javi update on Yuzu. So I'm good.

Guys, so, goodish news. According to a recent Javi interview, he said that Yuzu has already recovered and is fine. I don't know how 'fine' this means but at least it's something!

Don't you know? It's to keep up with Nathan! But seriously, yeah, I probably took it a little less positively than I could have but I wasn't particularly predisposed to be happy about NYT today after they had an earlier article which headline was about Nathan's 4 falls in practice...

Actually, it's funny the different ways to read the article, because I had another take on it. I thought there was too much focus on the fans' devotion and behaviour, which to me came out a bit as lowkey mocking. It's kind of a bit gloom and doom too about Yuzu. But it could be worse. Edit: There's some good stuff too, though.

He had ligament damage (type 2 sprain) instead of just the type 1 sprain we originally thought he might have had, so the initial 10 days full rest with 3-4 weeks of rehab and getting back into shape for Nationals in the end turned into about 5 weeks recovery time and rehab until he got on ice on December 16. During that time (before December 16) he also had bone and tendon inflammation, which didn't help a fast recovery. Now his rehab will continue while he is doing whatever he needs to slowly get his jumps back. Hopefully no more inflammation happens and he is careful with the post-ice recovery and rehab. As for his jumps and general shape, it'll depend on exactly how much conditioning he's been able to keep doing off ice while he's recovered.
