I would like Yuzu to minimize his use of signature moves as well, but didn't he say he includes them because people expect them in Hanyu programs? I would at least mix them up in terms of placement so we don't always see an ina bauer towards the end in the choreo seq etc.. I mean, we always know what is coming. Or even do the bauer without the layback... I actually preferred Javi's use of the ina bauer one season. He can't be uber creative when he has to use certain elements *because he always has*.... I loved ACI Origin because he used some leaps which then got dropped later... I don't mean to pick on this move, but it is one definite sig move we all know... As for music... he needs a cool, sophisticated kind of sp this year... very smooth. He has to change it up a bit. Personally, I really dislike most jazz music, but something in that vein would be suitable.... And Jeff for choreo, all the way. This is a match made in heaven, in my mind. My favourite Yuzu programs are usually his shorts. think he should ask Jeff to find the music... For free program, it will probably be nothing too risky.... and I actually have no ideas at present....just wish the choreo is a little different/ less predictable than his other free programs.

Med chose Exogenesis? Oh geez. I love that music, but for her skating abilities? I will only say that she needs to take a lot of Tracy's classes this summer... but I wait to be pleasantly surprised, hopefully.

Just more reason for me to dislike Plush. I am not a fan of his (sorry Yuzu) and reading his comments only reinforces that opinion. Someone with his level of influence shouldn't publicly label someone, especially when they are young and vulnerable... even if it is well known how emotional she is. So many coaches/countries would love to have a talent like her and would work to find a way to bring out her best and give her confidence... but if you're really busy and have your own stuff going on, I guess the patience and nurturing isn't there...

He said she was an emotional wreck? I hope he meant it differently than that because that is a nasty description.... but typical drama from the country that always brings that drama!! Poor girl.

I read that Mai Mihara's free program will be done by Lori Nichol... Lori can be hit or miss too, I think, but at least it's not David Wilson!!

My Mai... why do you do this to yourself? Skate Gods, please let him be more inspired than he has been the last few times he's done something for her.... I thought she looked great in the Jeff choreo'd group numbers at SOI Japan.... Mai, why not cozy up to Jeff while you were at it?? At least there would have been change....

LOL. I thought that once V/M did like, the best MR routine ever (after multiple attempts by multiple skaters), we would finally be done with it... since no one would try to top it... i underestimated the power of imitation... it's just so campy, isn't there other movie music out there?

LOl. His blogs are hilarious.. if anyone has attempted the art of being totally uninformative and secretive about, well, anything, 🕵️‍♀️it is him. He says the absolute minimum that he can get away with... and get away with it he does, because people still anxiously await every single syllable.

I can see this because you have to somehow account for someone being able to jump higher/farther than other people because that is indicative of a certain level of athleticism... (or we wouldn't have high jump or long jump as sport) Like for men, from what we know now about their general 3axel heights: above 65 cm for height could be given a level 5, above 60 a level 4 and below 60 a level 3.... I always thought levels 4 and 5 were supposed to show that you are really, really good at an element and yet we see them give those levels to people with smaller jumps.. and you can't say they were jumped lower because of difficult steps into entry because the gold standard is Yuzu who achieved the best height and distance despite doing a difficult entry. He (and others, like Boyang's 4lutz) really should be rewarded for that... it is an athletic achievement that is measurable and not subject to a judge's personal opinion... and nobody should argue that a skater's stature makes a difference... remember how short Midori was and I recall reading that she jumped her 3axels in the 65cm range, and Keegan Messing is not a big guy either yet manages to really get up there too... anyway, i hope they do figure out some way to incorporate this technology...

I saw recently on tv that a guy in japan got married to some computer generated image.... if he can do that, Yuzu can marry the ice.

My day started out so wrong! I woke up, turned on my tablet and found a huge ERROR sign when trying to get to the Planet... I had to work ALL day not knowing what y'all were doing. I was suffering i tell you, suffering!!! LOL. Just kidding, but yes, glad to seee all is well and everyone is ok!!

Yuzu spotted at TCC.. of course he was, lol. That looks like Tracy. Well, if so, the boy certainly can't stay away from his one true love...

i LOVE that costume so much. Dark colours instead of pastels...love it to the stars and back...

No surprise there, unfortunately. It is like he has gone back to day 1 again.... Personally I hope he does no shows, but maybe goes to watch in Sendai, but with him you never know. Last year I was surprised he skated in his april show when originally he could not, and then did faoi as his *rehab*.... but now that he has stated his goals for the future with the jumps I know he will not take risks. He knows better than anyone what the situation is at present and will do what is necessary.

Glad AC is in Oakville again. An easy drive for me from home!!! And traffic is even ok!! But, while it is also an easy drive for TCC participants, it is earlier than some might wish, like Yuzu. Who knows if he would be ready, although proximity to home might outweigh that... I will get tickets anyway. World class competitors, close by, and cheap... cannot beat that, for me.

Glad Yuzu is back in his home away from home. No media, rest, rehab and rejuvenation .... then ready for whatever is next.

I"m not surprised he's back in Canada already. The day was very sunny here in south western Ontario and I saw a bunch of swans in a field as they prepared to migrate north... seriously. And I felt very good all day.. meaning I felt his presence back in my part of the world (ok, not really, I felt good anyway because it was sunny, lol!!)

Maybe without the trophy part... just the shiny, sequined goat....or smooth gold coloured goat.... No need to write the countries that support him... doens't he have fans from the entire world? Yuzu not going to WTT? That is wonderful. I thought he would have to do his duty and go, but wow, he is allowed to miss it!!! So happy to see that, although that really is even more evidence of how rough things are for him. He should go home and rest and do his treatments etc.. Poor Shoma, he needs rest too. But good for Keiji... some easy cash for him!!

Love the Nam/Javi/Yuzu pic. That's the original trio that I see as the Cricket Bros... the rest are half siblings/adopted children made into a big blended family....

For someone with high standards for himself, I can see that he would never consider himself a true champion unless he won Olys... and for him he probably meant winning two before he would be a real champion. Other people of course, depending on their own goals, might consider achieving a medal as enough to make them a champion. I do not see it as throwing shade on Nathan, but for people looking for that from him, it could easily be perceived that way.

Just sleep on it, those of you getting close to night time... things do look better in the morning after some sleep and dream walking.

Someone has been watching Jason in practice and wants to show he's flexible too!!
