One of the BESP commentators is one of Shoma's coaches. When that happened they switched over to stanning Shoma and trying to downplay Yuzuru.

That he did great but he will likely be strugling in the free and something about that he did have not so great free skates too in his career. OFC it was based on what they THINK his preparation for this comp looked like (if his trianing looked like we think (meaning not good I suppose) 

It is true that anything can happen. But that anything includes everything from Yuzu popping everything to Yuzu going +3 for everything so.....

ok let me give this a shot, how can we spin this into something negative... uuhhh well it totally wasn't a PB, right? Yeah ok his personal best tends to be a record score that no other skater can touch and he usually just breaks them himself whenever he gets bored, but still, he's obviously not at his best right now, so basically he just sucks. Yeah I think that works.
