Discussing the Autumn Classic should be much more enjoyable for us this year. No more nasty anti-Hanyu trolls to spoil our enjoyment.

Well, all competitions are bound to become more enjoyable because there's going to no one to gloat at our misery or to try and bring us down from our high with muttering about overscoring. Or recycled programs, this year. 

Which makes me relaxed. It's a good feeling not to have to defend Yuzu. 

I haven't started packing and the event is two days away

So true ... and we can gush and whine and vent without the fear that someone will call us crazy Fanyus ... 

It's a very pleasant environment- we may disagree about costumes or music choices, but can agree to disagree - no more passive aggression and there seems to be agreement mostly about the important things.  Very grateful to the ones who thought it up.

The judging panel is more Europe-oriented than in the last two years. There were 2-2 European judges, now it's four...

Yeah, seem like more pro-Javi judging panel, but as long as Yuzu does his thing more or less well I would not worry about judging at this stage.

I was wondering what people thought about the panel.... but at this stage it isn't a big deal. Just do the best job you can to see what stage you are at, basically. And, I doubt Javi will be in stellar form at this point either. 

Eh, the scores are and aren't important. They're important in the sense that they're always important; to allow the skater to gauge where his programs are at and what needs to be particularly looked at. There's also the media angle too. They aren't in the sense that it's the first event, nothing is being decided by this, etc.

That panel definitely seems to lean towards Javi but that's hardly new so perhaps that is proper feedback!

I was just wondering if the Autumn Classic International will be Yuzu's first competition for this season? :") please forgive me for the dumb question it's my first time here and i'm really looking forward to follow his skating journey especially now that Pyeongchang Olympics is just around the corner.
