I finally got the SEIMEI movies in decent quality and can now see the patterns on the costumes. They're gorgeous! Caught myself paying more attention to the costumes than the rest of the first movie last night.   

That said, I would love something like the Amano artwork sleeves with the red touches. *heart*

When I saw Seimei for the first time I wanted to watch it again immediately just to see them again. Too bad camera angles never do them justice.

Well I'm pleased that it's back for the Olympics but the chat from before the announcement about it potentially being an exhibition piece and possibly reinstating that step sequence was nice- maybe he'll do it as part of an encore at a gala sometime.  That's the trouble with competition - the straitjacket of what is needed to win.

Well it's the same as in the hanging scroll at Seimei Shrine so it's the traditional opition, I suppose. I wonder where the colour scheme for the original costume came from. The movies?
