I don't even really care if he doesn't get the gold in the sense that the judging is basically rigged and I'll always support Yuzu regardless of competition results, but it sucks that if he doesn't get gold here the entirety of figure skating as a sport is going to devalue everything he has already done.
February 6, 20224 yr I miss Yuzu's skating, even the Olympics doesn't feel like an actual competition when he isn't in. Tbh, lack of audience is really affecting too. Everything looks like a mediocre level C competition in a an abandoned stadium. And all the skaters are mostly focusing on landing the jumps. I have yet to see a real skating or memorable performance in there yet. Underwhelming.
February 6, 20224 yr Maybe if Yuzu’s SP goes really well and gets a giant score (same or better than JNats), then Nathan will get more nervous. Agree that the Olympics figure skating feels underwhelming so far. Thinking back to 2018 Yuzu’s skates (both SP and FS) and Tessa/Scott’s free dance, the atmosphere was so electric!
