[2022] Winter Olympic Games (04.02-20.02) - Practice, Fluff and all the In-betweens

Thanks, NBC. In Ontario, for me and my schedule, this is actually the best timed event. I'm awake at 5am, and can watch at work since my clients watch it too. I get to watch the drama unfold...

He really is going to ehehehehe his way into doing anything he wants from now on LOL

This 4Flootz? will probably get + 4 and +5 across the board.

At this point I really hope Kao lands his. He doesn't have a Lutz but at least he has a toepick, so we can call it as it is, a 4Flutz.

I find it a little questionable that the some skaters who benefited from the unfair judging through their career are now complaining about fairness and equality in this doping case.

The whole system is broken and some of these skaters who are posing as clean and decent humans are just another part of this whole corruption. Figure skating should be taken out of Olympics as sport.

Exactly. Seeing all the us skaters being sensetive about this while turning blind on what judges does as if this constant unfair scoring is less traumatizing

Yuma is rushing to be Nathan 2.0. This is why I didn’t want Nathan to win, he now has set the trend. The trend for quantity winning over quality and a big fat goodbye to artistic skating forever. All just because unfair overscoring makes these skaters believe they don't need to add anything but some fake quads. Did I say I hate this 'sport' today?

I understand your mood  :-). I think it is a pity - Yuma could be also good artist on ice. Not simply jumping machine. But honestly Nathan is maybe "star" now but I think in few years people will say "Nathan who?" Especially in his homeland (well maybe even in these days). He is just a winner one Olympics games. But Yuzu is already now legend.

Yep, this is the direction figure skating is going. It's turning into ice jumping, ice jumping with bad and even cheated technique. And then there's the biased scoring and other manipulations. The corruption in this "sport" is unbearable. It's getting more and more difficult to watch.

I'm still in it because of Yuzu. But when he decides one day that the time for him to step back has come, I'll never watch this shitshow again. And this is really sad because I've been watching and enjoying figure skating since I was a kid. And now all this corruption has ruined it for me. :smiley-sad058:
