But seriously the OST, two of them, have so many possibilities and Max' tweet specifically referenced they might be fiddling with music, so it may be a totally different program. And I really want it. Gimme, gimme *grabby hands*

The only way I could see a recycling of Seimei working is if it was technically a completely different program (music and choreography), so that it fit a theme of sorts, but even then he's done the Japanese warlock thing and his FS is where I expect him NOT to recycle and to show new music, so I'm hoping for something completely different.

I would have preferred the return of Seimei to the return of Chopin, but oh well. The short program segment is evil. I had stopped being afraid of it, but now I'm remembering how brutal it is, that he had to do this.

I know I am just being so literal... but a totally different program is a program with different music and a different theme. I don't understand such reworkings... why keep it if you are going to change everything? I always get the impression it is out of fear a new theme won't be accepted.

Yeah. It's harder to make up the lost ground on large point differentials on a SP when you fail at it, especially with all the BV upgrades occurring every year in the FS. So it's brutal and he was reminded of it even more at WTT.

I kind of agree, but Yuzu has done this before with RJ1 and RJ2, and with his Swan programs, so he seems to have a certain attachment to maintaining a thematic thorough-line on occasion. I think Seimei 2.0 would be a lot better received if he did it without also repeating Chopin, though, because then it might be seen in some circles as trying to attain a previous 'lost glory', regardless of the fact he broke a WR again last season with a different program.

Yes, at that time triples (and even 2A) had same multiplier with quads (it was one of two reasons Yuna's FS record lasted for so long)

You can check SOV http://static.isu.org/media/105699/1494-sptc-sov_-goe_levels_-2008-2009.pdf

Did they change the multiplier on the 'easier' triples in order to encourage quads, then? Alongside increasing quads BV?

Poor Max; who knows from where he took those rumors... but I bet he was secretly happy to hear them, much like Yatagarasu xD At least, so it seemed. Max is always enthusiastic about any choice Yuzuru makes, tbh. He's the best of us all.

I find that super limiting, tbh but to each their own as they say.

If a movie, for example, had enough music in the OST to give two full FS length music cuts (not to mention that the musical pieces are about different moments, their one connection is the movie) honestly, why miss the chance? And Onmyoji's OSTs have 50 musical pieces, short, long, some repeating (I have them, so I've listened), but quite a few could be used and they are actually unique in terms of what's being heard. If they can have a good second music cut, to me, it'd be foolish to lose the chance and skate to that, compared to the usual fare. Even if he just mixes old and new, I don't mind. I'm about to listen to fifty Tango de Roxanne programs, give me drums and drama!

Tbh the more people talk about Seimei 2.0 the more I think he will have a brand new FS . Has any rumor about Yuzu come true ? Does anyone think about Ballade 3.0 ? Or back in 2013, did anyone predict he would do PW 2.0 and R&J 2 ? Last year there's a rumor about Led Zeppelin's program for Yuzu, but in the end, its Prince. He's that unpredictable

It was done at the same time (after Vancouver), yes. But I don't know what was actual reasoning to I can only guess.

I think that earlier version wasn't well balanced, because doing clean 2A is way easier than 4T, and rewarding them same seems unfair to me.

I listened podcast with Lakernik, and he said that IJS system is alive, so it needs tuning now and then. IMO they tuned it just fine after Sochi. But it's getting worse, or rather it's application of the rules that sucks.

If they're going for Seimei 2.0 but with different music cuts and new choreo, I may die from happines. But if it's going to be same old (amazing, gorgeous, beautiful...) Seimei...

It was 3 quads and now it may be 4 or even 5, and that's likely so the old choreography, except perhaps the intro does not cut it anyway. It's going to have to go. So in that sense, if true, the music and choreo changes make sense.

^^^ Also, do you have any link you can share for the whole Onmyoji OST? I'd love to listen to that.
