But with the intensity and coincidentally being so close to anniversary, it must have brought back to everyone in Japan and Tohoku especially some very painful memories...

 

(And what's with this time of the year and earthquakes in Japan? Iirc in February 2021 there was one too, and Sendai ice rink was closed a few days. Then in March 2021 when Yuzuru was set to leave for WC there was another. Well I guess we can be glad that it only caused something relatively minor like 1day delay on arrival, but again must have been so tough mentally😔 and stressful too, because of the bubble timeline)

 

I saw on twitter some Jpn fans being thankful for having their A Notte Stellata project emergency items (like the solar light) ready/using them. It made me smile a bit, that Yuzuru could be helpful to people even through those things

 

I think I might have seen that tweet you are referring to. He truly does bring light to our lives in our darkest times.

Money lol. He can fake it to Yuzu when he meet him, it doesn’t cost him anything. Also I find it amusing JW didn’t take offence at N’s blunder, since he can make a fuss over nothing. 

just a couple of weeks ago, NC fans called Yuzu-kun coward after he withdraw from WC. well...yesterday he (NC) withdraw too.

I think we all knew he'd withdraw. I knew nothing about an injury before, I pay no attention, but the entire post Olympic time filled with engagements, plus uncertainty in Europe  (yes, the continent is big), made his participation doubtful to me from the beginning. I think he realized he wasn't in great shape. Why risk losing and getting tarnish on his gold? 

 

Worlds will be very interesting. A gold up for grabs now. Love it. 

 

Hope yuzu wasn't too rattled by that earthquake. I would be, but I didn't grow up with earthquakes, or experience a massive trauma inducing one either. Hope all that us near and dear to him remained unscathed.

They can both fake it. It's an ice show, but it's also a job, so it's like being in an office with some unpleasant coworkers. You still have to work with them, so you have to be professional and deal with them. I'm sure Yuzu knows how to handle him.
