I think they'll interview Brendan and Jackie for the bulk of it, maybe interviewed Tracy at a competition and got Yuzu for a couple of questions at the same competition. Probably none of it will be live and some of it will involve 1) 10 min of discussion of Poohs, 2) Jackie being very complimentary and nice toward Yuzu himself but throwing his whole fandom under the bus as internet bullies, 3) selective editing of fan interviews to make them look shallow and obsessive. (I have so much faith in English speaking media re: Yuzuru, as you can see. 😆) Expand Anyway, if it gets any more Aussies interested in Yuzu and Pooh, I’ll be mighty happy! Link to comment

They could have asked Shuzo or Nobu or Shizuka and get much more interesting input from Yuzuru's domestic environment and acutal FS competent specialist. But ok, I guess they just play it pop. Wait and see, if that's mean any new content from Tracy and Zu - it's always a treat Link to comment

Expand I don't think the radio show has anything to do with supporting the fires directly. I've checked the credits and clicked on the producer of the show and this is what it said. It looks like they're trying to get some understanding of what this Yuzu phenomenon is. I won't be surprised if none of Yuzu's parts are new and made up with just some interviews from before. Expand ABC is generally pretty fair and objective. They're one of the more reputable networks in Australia. They're government owned but they are not a mouthpiece for the government - every so often there's scandals of people getting fired or investigated from ABC or the other public network because of the things they say or publish that the government doesn't like but the government usually gets called out on breaking their own rules for doing it. If they have anything negative they're going to bring up, I'm sure it'll be about how our poor Zu can't have a peaceful day out with his family in Japan or something like that or about the worst of his fans and how they treat other skaters etc. Link to comment

I don’t expect WE will hear anything new, but Australian listeners might learn a thing or two if they are not Fanyus already. Can there be any feedback about the programme! Link to comment

Expand If he knows about the devastation in Australia, I'm sure he'd be inclined to help support the recovery efforts. Maybe this broadcast will inform all the Fanyus around the world (who now know about this interview broadcast next week) and inspire them to donate to the efforts. They can use all the help they can get and we are all known to follow the generosity shown by Yuzu. Link to comment
cronkite
I am wondering about the coaching situation at WC. How many TCC coaches can go there? With Yuzu and Jun qualified, Brian and Ghislain got their tickets, but how about Tracy? Med is out, so do we have to wait for the outcome of Jason? Is Poland sending Kurakova not to WC but to JWC? What if Tracy is going to work for a Canadian TV, she won't be available? Sorry, too many questions. Link to comment
winnieshome
@cronkite Tracy is definitely difficult to pin down...She’s commentating Nats right now but I have no idea where she’ll be for the WC. I’d assume because we’ll be in Quebec, CTV will be covering whom Tracy is commentator for, so that’s likely what she’ll be doing. I’d bet he’ll have Brian for sure and perhaps Ghislain for the K&C. Perhaps they taught him to land this way to save any ankle injury? Link to comment
