    The answer is yes thay can. Evgenia did an extra jump as part of her final combo in the last Russian Nationals -- 3S-3T-3T. The last 3T in that combo didn't count because she already did 3F-3T and 2A-2T-2T earlier in the program. She just did it for the heck of it lol.

    Admittedly the Russian skaters are not top level right now in men's singles. Still, it's a bit harsh to talk about them that way. They're really not sugarcoating anything lol. They must all be thinking back to the good ol' days of Plushy vs Yagudin...

    It's really harsh how they talk about male figure skaters in Russia nowadays it seems. Reminds me of that interview with Eteri where she also implied some of her former male students were also weak. It's like the whole lot of them need to "man up!".
