  1. Only to discover that there is a whole Pandora box of smol mushroom Yuzu dreams just waiting for us
  2. Then we'll just have to bring both and then throw the most appropriate one for the moment xD but if Yuzu does a WR, throwing GOATS will be just. Epic.
  3. Ah! I'm dying to let them know. But I have 0 knowledge on how Twitter works and how you get your post seen by people xD I guess they will just have to follow us after they start seeing Nessie plushies and they research what it is all about? But apart from this, mmmh, I do think it would be best to begin with Goats! Because they would ALL get that joke, and we could see Yuzu react to it!
  4. Are we sure that Yuzu wouldn't figure the trolling out right away? Is "Nessie" used in twitter or is it exclusively the Planet's small child? xD (I'm saying that we should spread Nessie's knowledge on Twitter if it's not there already, I'm sure Japanese fans would be receptive right away!)
  5. What can I prepare to throw at Worlds in Saitama? a weird goat-nessie-pooh mutant?
  6. Unfortunately, in my case it's either save money for skating, or save money for skating competitions... and this year I guess I officially give up on Helsinki xD I can take photos tomorrow if I go there I think! I couldn't see in the site if they were black or not, but yeah, I think they are new c: They're not the only 99 Revs, there are others that are less expensive, more like 400 or 500 euros...
  7. So I think tomorrow I will go around the city and try both. I think I would prefer Edea because of...reasons. Also I saw this shop also has some new 99 Rev blades. They're like 750 euros xDDDD
  8. Hands down, my favourite!!!
  9. Aaah yesterday I had my second skating lesson and I learned a lot of things. First thing - I need to buy new boots right away because mine are literally melting each day that goes by, my left boot broke and is kind of open on the heel (LOL) and when I showed my skates to my fellow course mates they were amazed that I could stand on the ice as long as I did. I also felt their boots and couldn't believe how soft mine were compared to theirs. So, for safety, I will have to invest in new boots in the next few days, lest I risk getting injured during week 1 because my boots are made of wool and I've been using them for 3 years xD A course mate suggested an Edea model who is pretty cheap and has the blade included - I will get the blade sharpened by a guy at my rink, who they said is pretty good and sharpens depending on your physique. I also have to buy a blade cover because I've had hard, plastic covers since now. It was getting hard to walk around LOL. Honestly, I did feel pretty unstable doing the lesson with my boots, and I don't think it was just because I don't know how to skate on an edge LOL. I could feel my feet moving in the boot, and sometimes just gliding forward my foot would bend on either side. I bet it's like a skater's nightmare to have boots like mine. Oh well. I've received them as a present for my 18th birthday, from friends I said goodbye to a long time ago. So it's just right that I should buy new skates. It's like beginning a new season in life. Regarding the lesson, it was fun! We were 6 (maybe we will be 7 next time) so the teacher could follow us pretty closely, and she separated me and one other girl from 4 girls who were a bit more advanced. I could feel that I was less aware of my whole body, and I was just throwing myself around a lot of times lol. Last weekend I spoke with a friend who's a hockey player, but he told me really good advice on my posture. Basically said that he can see that I am scared when I skate, so my weight is all backwards, on the heels, and my back is straight. But I should change my balance point and bring it forward - and I started noticing that my ankles pressed on the front of my skates, and it should be a bit like this. Also, of course going on edges becomes easier this way. Sorry if I'm saying such obvious things, but I'm really starting from 0 so bear with me xD I am still quite incapable of going backwards on one foot. The teacher put me to practice half-lemons/one foot backwards and crossing, which I think is propedeutic for backwards crossovers, while the other four of the course were doing Backward Outside three turns. Envyyyyyy! I wanna do that too! And the last minutes of the lessons she tried to make me practice spins. But I cannot even point my foot and do the 'compass' with the other foot to close my body. I am so bad at it! I have to practice a lot. Oh well, either tomorrow or friday I will buy new boots. Edit: I can choose between a cheap Risport model and a cheap Edea model... both are pretty good for beginners like me, and the Risport model is made of the same material as Edea's so it's not heavier. What do you guys recommend? Should I go with the boot that feels better with my foot?
  10. I am actually 90% sure that he's doing 'today's Yuzu' because he gets responses from Twitter, so he is responding to the demand with the supply. Not sure he is still enjoying it as much as day 1
  11. It's like when beginners in Japanese keep saying "カッコいい", "可愛い" and so on. It becomes spontaneous if you use it a lot. But only because you use THAT word a lot, doesn't mean that you use the rest of the language fluently. Those words enter in your personal vocabulary, which ends up making your own 'level' of a language... everybody learns as much as they need to. If you need to become very fluent, in a capable, almost literary way, you will probably succeed if you are motivated. I think Yuzuru doesn't need this, and currently has an English that is useful for what he has to do on a daily basis. Probably knows all the English terms related to skating! Maybe I've said this before, but it's important for language learners (I think we are a lot here) to realize that there are no real "macro levels" of language learning. We say beginner, intermediate and advanced, but in reality it's more personal and it has more nuances than that. Language is proportional to necessity. It's like a need to understand and be understood. So the more you push yourself in different contexts that require you to explain yourself well, and understand the topics of discussion well, the more you will end up learning vocabulary and advanced sintax and grammar rules and so on. Also if you don't have a lot of time to dedicate to the language, but have a necessity to practice it, you could become fluent even with a restricted vocabulary and restricted grammar knowledge (for example, my korean bf is like this)- technically you could be called a 'beginner' or an 'intermediate' or even sound perfectly fluent, depending on what is required atm c: So really there is no meaning in trying to fit Yuzuru in a certain level! Imo there is no meaning in trying to fit anyone learning a language in a category, but unfortunately International Language Tests don't agree with me and everyone is fixated on putting people in boxes
  12. Those are someone else's Origins right there, yo.
  13. You are switching them around! Max is the enthusiast screaming 'Planet Hanyu' inventor, Angelo is the soft cinnamon roll who says Yuzuru is the greatest skater ever whenever he gets the chance.
  14. Angelo is pretty much off the Social Media as a whole, so I wouldn't know. Max was more active last year, lately I haven't been hearing from him much! I mean, he does posts on facebook about the performances he enjoyed more about certain events (posted about Italian Lucrezia Beccaria, Kostornaia, Sherbakova, Trusova, Grassl). He also recently made a post about Yuzuru's Open Media Day. I kinda miss him
  15. That's like so terrifying and I've only seen 30 seconds of it. I won't sleep if I see the whole video. In the meantime... the more I listen to Otonal, the more I love it. It is such a characteristic song, I cannot wait for Yuzuru to make it completely his, to give it his nuances and his wild, passionate character to it. I think that Nijinski will make me scream a lot, but Otonal might make me cry a lot.
  16. I think it will be even better than H&L! Because every record is better than the former one. He always does better than the past. And to think that this 'better' could come in 12 days...
  17. I am feeling like it reset in his mind, at least! (Maybe ending the canadian silver and getting the 4CC gold are two or his goals for this season, but he didn't reveal them out of superstition...)
  18. Yes, it really looks like both 3A's actually are part of a Choreographic sequence. Amazing. He really wants that 10 in TR.
  19. It looks LGC style packed! Are we gonna have noodly Yuzu noodling through the 2nd half of the FS again? At least until GPF
  20. religiously waiting for your timeline to bless us!!
  21. Yes, Alina in particular gives me the impression that she has her own relationship with nutrition and she might have to work on it a little bit... at her age, it's normal, after all. Among the people I know, when I was growing, it was rare to see a girl that was completely 100% healthy with her eating habits. But in any case, it's important that the families support the athlete and try to talk with them often about this to make sure that everything is okay. Some months ago Med put a story on instagram with a fruit/protein shake and wrote 'dinner'. For some people, that might be worrying and I have to admit, it makes me go alert as well. But it's true that there are some people who manage to have a very rigid diet and don't go overboard and start with serious ED issues - if you are determined and strong-willed, and you understand that you have to have a certain calorie intake and you can't go below, but also cannot go overboard, then I think that it's doable, and things that would normally get a yellow flag, are harmless.
