Hmmm.. In a Battle Royale type scenario I think Yuzu would win hands down.. boy's got killer instincts. I'd say Yuzu>Patrick>Javi>Nathan>Boyang>Shoma. There's no particular reason just my gut feeling. haha... In a build shelter and survive the elements type scenario he's not gonna last. hahaha.. I'd say... Javi>Everyone else. But.. you'd never know. Yuzu can be very competitive. He's intuitive and seems like a quick learner as well.

Ugh... I love them. Please skating gods.. let them compete in the same competitions more.. And let them have more joint interviews... maybe this time with Nobu as the interviewer.

If we're talking about quad thirst I would give it to Plushenko. And maybe even Boyang - didn't he say his dream was to do an all quad layout? For Yuzu, I'd say he has an Axel Thirst TM And.... unfortunately... a quint thirst. He's the only one of the top guys where I've consistently heard him talk about quints (boy, you need to chill ). Heck, it was his dream when he was just a baby mushroom (that and the quad axel.)

I'm so glad that Yuzu has such good childhood friends in Keiji and Ryuju. Maybe those 3 can do a reality show of traveling around Japan when they do decide to r****. I loved their interactions at NHK trophy including that interview they had with Akiko (with Yuzuru suddenly sitting in with Keiji and Ryuju's interview). One thing I've noticed is that people who've known Yuzuru since he was young have all commented that he hasn't changed at all and that his personality is basically the same. But does the pursuit of an olympic gold medal warranting such high risk to Nathan's body/health? Something that he may not feel yet right now but will creep up when he's older? And in trying to stay on topic: I'm glad Yuzuru has now (finally!) realised how important being healthy and injury free is. I must admit that at the start of the season when he was saying that he learned the importance of rest I was a bit skeptical. haha... I'm glad to be proven wrong.

To be fair, I don't think he actually hangs out with anyone off-ice, except maybe Nobu (probably Keiji and Fei?). I actually like his stubborn introvert-ness. I hate when I'm forced to go out and be social.

Shoma's jumps scare me... not just for him but for the sport. I'm hearing commentators say that that's his 'signature landing'. I'm glad Kurt Browning said something about his jumps. And we've got juniors/novices saying they admire Shoma for his jumps which is troubling. People are staring to treat his jump as 'his style' instead of just being bad techniques. I hope Nathan doesn't let the dream of an OGM wreck havoc on his body. He already had a hip injury and I don't want him to have another. I hope him and his team think about his health as well.

I would love it if all 3 of them were in a competition together again. Yuzu was so happy, giggly, and huggy (is that even a word? haha) at the NHK Trophy last year. And I think Fei and Keiji get less pessimistic when Yuzu is around.
