  1. I have like 124637382 recipies that don't involve stove that I love (plus, are two-three ingredients, so they're good for allergics, too! Easy to tell what wasn't so good for you^^), and my bakery's bread is so good you'd eat sandwitches with it even if they were like 12centimeters thick slices put together with butter between them (or another slice ), not to mention my mother having experience with working in the kitchen with three hyperactive kids in it, so like...it's probably the safest option for making him learn
  2. Beware of Yuzuvier in there, but here you go, for those who want to see @KatjaThera's take on Javi-in-Yuzuru's-costumes (need to be logged in to see, also spoiler: it's ridiculous): Also if we go for Bold: 1. Cricket Club gets a 1-2-3 finish in Men's and top 10 in other disciplines they appear in at Olys 2. Evgenia actually makes her Tano extended enough to look graceful/switches for Rippons 3. All of the Russian Ladies' medallists at Nats will be Eteri's girls (not so bold tbh) 4. Keiji beats Shoma for that second place at Nationals 5. Yuzuru actually has a new Ex instead of "the best of Yuzuru" album for 2017/18.
  3. re: Shoma, at least now his costume gives off more winter-y feeling *desperately looks for good sides* I guess if they want to prove themselves right, they first need to make things as they are now look much worse than they already were to then point to that and scream: "see? THAT'S why we changed the rules, praise us for being good!" like a spoiled child who tries to make others look bad so it looks good even if that others is also them... *where's that Yuzu facepalm!spiral gif when you need it*
  4. If it helps, I also preferred the one representing 'Art of repairing cracks with gold' rather than 'even sickly blue can sparkle'. Sorry, guys! I hope it will be rich sky blue going upwards through paler variations to finish with sparkly almost-white...
  5. Aside of the fact that I'm posting this while listening to a song titled "Kowareta Marionette", here's DearlyBeloved's from Tumblr's opinion on the topic (if this wasn't posted already...), which sounds so easy, I almost cannot believe it's real...or not considered already. Like, is there any hook to this (aside of the ones author post themselves- beware of shade-and-other-things-throwing, it was a bit of an angry post):
  6. I can't agree on the opinion of the second movie because both were draggy to me, thank you lagging DM, but if we talk about the flow of the film...again can't say anything, because as soon as the main battle theme is used I was going 'EEEK!!!Yuzu's stseq!!!!' and until the melody didn't change I didn't really pay attention Also, second film made me a little more positive about red!Seimei costume...(forget about the fact that red and violet were apparently reserved for priestesses and not priests? Idk about that, red as one curiosity or other, so I'm taking it with a grain of salt...even if Yuzu would pull it off regardless of connotations xD)
  7. That should go to meme's threat!
  8. Under current rules, three falls equals -4 points, I think? every next fall aftr the second one gets double penalty...*needtocheckthat* We're better at organising the events than the actual organisers xD Maybe they should hire Fanyus as advisors? "Ya know, we know you want your fave to enjoy this, come help us out?" I actually study a specialization focusing on event organising and planning from the scratch, so maybe I should consider applying for, you know, working experience or something xD Also, something that struck me the most is, we whine here, we whine on the forums, we criticize over public media, but did we ever put a petition or any other form of giving our ideas out to ISU? I consider myself a new fan, so I would need advice of longer-term fans, who also understand the original logic of current system (aka, know what's in the rulebook) for my idea, but my honest dream is to make out an internationaljudging and technical panel out of those technically adept fans, and make them score the skaters in the competition like judges do, maybe with the use of slow-mo on the jump takeoff to additionally show the difference in judging when added this ability, and then send the results along with printed official score sheets to Isu, to make them see the difference. Of course, that would mean Planet Hanyu-origined "judges" would have to stop themselves from judging Yuzuru, as it would be a biased judging (I'm not saying we're all fans of exclusively one skater, but just from my reactions to Yuzuru's skate I know it would be hard to keep objective, while I don't worry so much about that in Shoma or Javier's case...)... Or, maybe ask retired skaters to do that? Though they are also forced to do politicking... If that ever succeeded I would even ask mr. Szewczyk to come out of his retirement to help us with that, and then add Max and Angelo to the pack...
  9. Possible since we're "the ice desert"...nobody would even recognize him T.T But, meybe he'd like that? A bit of privacy xD
  10. We'd welcome him with open arms, since his interpretation of Chopin is basically Chopin's whole life (unlike certain clinical death, Zhenya...please change choreographer, for Chopin at least...) Plus, my sister just send me a pic of the flights from the Chopin airport in Warsaw (yes, there's ALOT of things named after Chopin in Poland xD), which is the closest to Żelazowa Wola (Chopin's house still stands and is a museum there), and there are direct flights from and to Toronto, so he wouldn't even waste too much time... On a side note, when I started reading about ISU proposed changes, from my brother's room (he's playing osu! I guess) 'thanks for the memories' started playing, and I just burst out laughing...
  11. If it was additional, alright. But, as somebody said earlier, longer competitions require longer broadcast time, and tvs definitely have enough material to go without additional hour or so of competition-just look at the timetables of the tv stations that do not have a representative skater in GPF; the fans from those countries are lucky to have a highlight replays that mention they didn't air the competition because of a billard match (with all respect for billard, but...seriously eurosport...I'm salty about that and I wasn't even a fan back then xD) As for more medals if we go for technical and artistic program (I'm on a 'no' side of this), maybe instead of BS-ing like that, just popularize small medals ceremonies to the competitions other than worlds? Also, just a fair reminder that the so-called disadvantaged by TES skater Jason Brown skated in the last group during WTT (I know it's a joke competition but hey!), and in the second to the last in Worlds. Politicking aside, this speaks for something, so I'm still in the 'slow-mo for TP instead of bs-ing the rules' camp. A bit more positive on a +/-5 GOEs, though *wonders how +5 3A would look like* (or maybe make that +6-one for each bullet you need to fill to reach max GoE-unless bullet about matching the musical structure is the requirement for 0 GoE...xD) I'm not supposed to type this long answers at this hour on mobile...
  12. After all, we are the all powerful! Able to change skater's program by disliking it on YT! Making skaters fall by the power of Pooh Rain! *Sarcasm mode off* Seriously tho, it's not about the faves anymore...
  13. Actually, isn't there a rule that only easy, unnamed jumps can be a part of choreo/steps? So, if Yuzu go all:"include 3A in my choreo, it's an easy jump" everything he'll do after that jump will be counted towards transitions and not Choreo requirements, resulting in a serious drop in GOE, if this is stsq situation, as it needs to have required ice coverage? Also, single axel into a spin a' la 3A-messy-landing-covered-as-a-twizzle-into-spin? Though I'm not sure if this'll cover creative/difficult entry bullet (don't remember if this changed for spins, too) XD
  14. ...How did we get from talking about Butts to Yellow Atrocity to YuzuNyan?
  15. Weren't there another interview in which he described the roar as a "I couldn't breathe, so, I thought 'For now, just let the air out'" and the above gif was the result of that, while the screaming during the jump (3A combo?) was never really shown? (Unless some photographers managed to catch it and didn't discard them as super strange jump faces...)
  16. @swanbeau it's also the very first ballade he composed, or more like, sketched. But a bit of history first, if you don't mind: under spoiler, because I wrote waaay too much of it xD As for what Yuzuru has to do with Chopin... Let's start from the end xD Chopin's music influenced a lot of composers that came after him, including the Great Five of Russia, and especially Scriabin. Yep, the guy from Etude Patetico. While Chopin's Etude "Revolutionary" doesn't sound all that similar, Scriabin himself quoted Chopin as his inspiration. Second is a bit on physical side- Chopin is known to reach height of 170, but barely managed to weight 45 kilos, due to his health and intolerance to fat (especially pork). So basically, he'd be as skinny or even skinnier than Yuzuru at the beginning of his career was. And apparently, as hardcore perfectionist, if comments of his students are anything to go by. Third, te circumstances in which first sketches of Ballade got created. He's the first gen of the occupied Poland, so his parents still remember the times of Poland existing as a country, and his generation was believed to free it (spoiler: since 1995, Poland didn't exist for 123 years, with the exception of Turkey, that didn't accept the documents legalising Poland's partition between Austria, Prussia and Russia-Thank you, Turkey), and the result of the November Uprising was literally crushing, as Poles lost most of their high-level officers, and intelligence had to run for their life. In that aspect, Ballade mixes the fresh memories of happy school days Chopin freshly graduated from, with the disaster that was the fall of uprising and his own inability to do anything to aid the case, despite his wishes to do so. So, imagine a tall but lithe boy in a loose shirt, moving softly, smoothly one moment, then starting to gain momentum, almost thrashing around with the power of the feelings that he has...oh wait, no need to imagine. Fourth, something that doesn't come across in the bio (can you even call it that xD) I wrote, but Chopin is hinted to be an universal genius, as he and his little sister Emilia tended to write comedies and prose "for fun", anecdotes speak about Chopin getting caught at drawing during the lesson, but the teacher being so impressed with the art that instead of punishing, he praises Chopin, and Balzac, one of Chopin's French friends mentioned that Chopin had a "terryfying talent" for imitiating whoever he wanted. Additional bonus was that Chiopin was also a very good speaker...does it remind you of someone?
  17. ...I tried to write them, but my English coherency slowly falls apart, since I'm currently a mix of absolutely excited and dead tired, so all the languages I learned and have any basic knowledge of try to spill and mix into something along the lines of "adnshrjsekc hicm uw, they're so great together, if they lived in the same timeline they would be headphone fanatic buddies belonging to a wonder child club" (Chopin had his first concert at the age of 7/8, his first work was published a year later, Yuzuru got his Novice gold not even six years after starting to skate, so...), I'll try to form a more coherent fact spewing tommorrow (plus, will do some fact checks, since few sources have questionable choice of words I don't believe a romantic composer would use, as they want us to believe...)
  18. I'm sorry but I imagined this scene, and just, burst out laughing - loud: Brian, accepting his hair loss, trying to minimalise the damage hesitantly suggest 4Lz he saw two skaters, one with similar landing technique to Yuzu, perform. Yuzu listen patiently, wipes sweat, or puts hair behind his ear, smiles sunnily, before dropping to a practice killer!Yuzu stare and answers: '4A today.' Thus Brian's hair fate's decided, rest of the skaters on the practice resignedly take last gulps of their waters, knowing the risk of choking during Yuzuru's 'It's the off-season! I can JUMP!' practices rises a bit too high for anybody's comfort.
  19. Darn this thread...I cannot decide whether to let my geek girl self run wild and spew random facts about Chopin and op.23 that suggest Chopin and Yuzuru are match made in heaven (or at least, have terryfying number of similarities that make Yuzuru's interpretation so ridiculously good, not that I have something against Mao's ones or the others), or not... Also, to piano playing satellites-you guys are gods, I get dizzy just looking at the sheet of Ballade's prelude
  20. That is why, those people are technically NOT fans. Explanation of a word 'fan' from the internet dictionary (too lazy to translate from my native language's dictionary): an enthusiastic devotee, follower, or admirer of a sport, pastime, celebrity, etc. Synonyms include supporter, enthusiast, partisan, booster, addict. There is not even one word that would suggest booing or disrespectful behavior towards other sportsmen (esp. since, we wouldn't have a competition if only one person took part in it???), and even though it originates from the word fanatic, I still don't see that a reason to be disrespectful/threatening towards anybody, ESPECIALLY since Dai-chan himself at one point mentioned it was reassuring to have younger guys with him on the international stage (Worlds 2012 I think?). I think that while he and Yuzu weren't friends (One of them said their personalities don't match the way Yuzu and Nobu do? I need to find the source though...), they were fellow Japanese, and for the first two seasons in Seniors Yuzu would name Takahashi as his role-model/person he needs to catch up to in the Japanese field, and Takahashi would be like "How old are you?!? I wasn't able to talk like this when I first went to Seniors O.O" (doubles as the source for the infamous " Yuzuru laughing at other skater"-said skater seems to have nothing against tho ;)) Now I really wonder, if there's a word for such "fans" in English? I know that we differentiate between a "kibic"(a supporter, fan, etc.) and "kibol (a person focusing on offensive behavior towards opposing team, wearing the colors of his supposedly "supported" group) in Polish, but I think most people refer like that only to soccer/football watchers... Anyway, I'm really glad that Yuzuru was already in Brian's care by then, the advice from the coach who went through the same thing must have really been uplifting (and stuck, considering he remembered it during the press conference in one of the Barcelona's GPFs) Also, I'm so glad 'I'm not the only one who focused more on the *Triple Axel* ORE DA*swoosh* exchange rather than on the "I saw Pooh-san and cried" @hopeandlegacy
  21. Considering blue is charm colour for victory in Olys (Sotnikova was a rare exception), If he goes with tuxedo shirt it would have to be blue-ish (since we [almost] all agree Seimei will have x-and-red combination)... If I'm honest, now I'm seeing it with the color similar to the brighter blue part of Shizuka's Turandot costume...with sparkles, obviously.
  22. Well, it's the program that screams at you 'SAY ANYTHING OR I'LL SAY IT FOR YOU' so...
  23. Guess some fans helped with the collection xD
  24. Regarding 4A, Japanese learning/speaking group might want to correct me on that one, but isn't the form of oriru in this tweet (降りれそうらしい) a double 'probably'? Like 'そう' means seems/looks like, and らしい is used like the English 'apparently' at the beginning of the sentence when you start a gossip? Then, the speaker continues to add 'so he says, but seriously/is that for serious?!' So the tweet meaning would mean somethign along the lines of 'Kobahiro-san said that apparently, Yuzuru-san looks like/seems like he's about to become able to land the 4A jump, but is this for real?!' So, it's basically the thing we know since that fateful hologram show (aka the Yuzuru 'Now that you've shown me, I feel like I can jump it!' Hanyu, the first of his name), so we're at the same risk of heart attacks as we were before... minus the current Yuzuru's watch-after-my-health tactics, which so far are actually applied*le gasp* and I pray it stays this way, though who knows him ... Still, I don't get why 降りれform, not just 降り...what that れ does there???
  25. +/- translation: Always ready for action, Mr. 3A.
