For some reasons, this pics always make me emotional... Seeing him doing lighthearted sightseeing with a fellow TJ member. Now we don't see such images anymore. And I wonder if it's because he basically stays in his hotel room in competitions to avoid paparazzis and crazy fans (which would be sad), or if he manages to keep some private time in ninja mode and his friends respect his private life and don't publish pictures (which would be a good thing). (and, okay, machida and Yuzu togetehr always make me emotional :))

I don't think this has already been shared ? There's a new very good intevriew of Shoma from the JOC Olympian magazine 2017: here in english. I particularly liked this part : It seems that neither Shoma nor Yuzu want to fall in the "rival" mediatic nonsense.

Clearly. When Yuzu says he's going to do something, he DOES it. So he won't say he's adding the Lutz until he's sure it's ready enough to be included in his new programs. Especially since he's aiming at Zhenia Medvedeva's kind of consistency at the same time, you know .

He sounds humble and mature in this, I really like it. Actually I find the animation of the opening song of YOI just beautiful. The opening of persona 5 also uses fugure skating element and is not bad at all. And I actually think that figure skating is a great source for beautiful, dynamic drawing. Of course you've got to spend a bit of money and talent on it...

that's funny, because my parents are 73 and they're still awesome, and as sharp as ever :) They also look much younger. I guess I should count myself lucky ?

Well, he won't have my heart until he corrects his cheated take-offs or at least get called for them, that's for sure. He gains points for trying though.

At least he's working on his weaknesses. It doesn't mean he will succeed, but it means that he's aware of them, even if they're not (yet) called. That's the kind of behavior that could make me warm to him finally.
