    A company not sponsoring Worlds in particular doesn't necessarily mean they aren't working with the ISU at all anymore. They might not be legally obligated to sponsor every event every year.

    I wonder if Yuzu's mom would be allowed back into the country with him. He has an essential reason. She technically does not. Same with the other skaters who are over 18 but had a parent with them, like Evgenia and Jun. For younger ones like Utana (or Rika) you could potentially say that she's underage and needs a guardian, but not with the others.

    "Most Valuable" is causing so much confusion because they seem to keep adjusting the definition. It's supposed to be for who literally brings The Most Monetary Value.....which is Mr. Hanyuconomy. But that's not what it means in every other sport. They really didn't think the name through. Now they will have arguments every which way between skaters' fandoms because they all think Most Valuable means Best.

    Thinking about this award show, what I'm wary of is what will happen if Yuzu wins one of the awards, as I'm fairly certain he will. Will Fanyus change their tune en masse and decide that it's not a stupid award anymore because Yuzu won, but is actually so meaningful, and then everyone calls us hypocrites? Please, let's promise not to do that, shall we? It would be embarrassing. Even if Yuzu wins, that doesn't make it any less of a bad idea with even worse implementation, it just means they managed to do one thing right

    Her wording sounds a bit shifty.....one could infer that he is not in Canada at all, or one could just as easily infer that he is not skating *at the Cricket* but *is* skating at another rink.

    The sock is extra funny when you remember Javi showing off his Olympic medal in its beautiful wooden display box, decorated with a blue rose. Really, that's so Yuzu-style.

    I never paid attention because I didn't know this was his dad's school, but the man in the black suit who leads Yuzu into the gym actually looks rather like Mr. Hanyu. From the pictures and footage of him that exist, his height, build, and profile are similar. The camera carefully tries to avoid a clear view of this man's face, too. Maybe proud dad wanted to be the one to go 'ta-daaaa!'

    Besides costume-specific varieties, Yuzu in general would be NOODLE SOUP, naturally. Younger Yuzu is a bowl of well-done curly ramen with a soft-boiled egg, shiitake mushrooms, and the swirly pink and white naruto fish cakes. Older Yuzu is ramen cooked firm with all those ingredients plus a dash of chili oil and a generous helping of succulent braised pork.

    Yuzu eight months from now: I answered every odd numbered question with a stop-motion claymation video and every even number with an abstract painting which you can view for a limited time on my Animal Crossing island, don't ask me for anything ever again *disappears*

    I think I have watched Olympic Chopin the most, not only because it's beautiful and triumphant, but because it gives me a feeling of smug satisfaction to envision all those people who had written him off and had already hung the gold around someone else's neck, being smacked across the face by that performance. I think about the NBC and USFS execs sitting there like that meme of the room on fire. "This is fine." Thanks, troll lord.
