  1. We have our priorities, we do. And after seeing what Shoma (or whoever clothes him) has just come up with, I am sort of on tenterhooks here. I like most of Yuzu's (so okay, I have a soft spot for sparkly bling) but there's no getting away from it, he has a gift for OTT-to-the-max when he tries...
  2. I read somewhere (can someone confirm?) that when Johnny Weir was designing the Romeo&Juliet2(?) costumes for him, Johnny proposed what he thought was plenty of sparkly... and Yuzu insisted on more/bigger/shinier
  3. Classically handsome is probably not the right term IMO (keeping in mind that it's wildly subjective - one of the skaters currently called 'one of the most handsome' I find absolutely repellent, and no I am not saying who!). Classically handsome is Javi or Guillaume Cizeron. Yuzu is definitely good-looking, and me, I do think he can be called bloody gorgeous (of course, large eyes in a triangular, almost kittenish face tends to do it for me anyway), but he has such a mobile face that he can look adorably cute, stunningly fierce, childishly fragile, dorkily goofy, nearly every adjective you can think of... and then utterly, breathtaking beautiful. And all in a flash of time, it seems sometimes. Certainly he is visually magnetic, the first time I saw a video with him in, there were at least 10-12 skaters in the frame and who did I stare right at? Yep. (Sorry for blathering, I was just harvesting some of the breathtaking ones and it inspired me...)
  4. Was just listening to Jake Shimabukuro's While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Can I have that in my dreams? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puSkP3uym5k
  5. Definitely. Actually, something by Einaudi would be sparkly enough...
  6. I would just love a dark and glittery piece of music, so I can imagine a slim-fit, darkly glittering costume on the ice... (shallow? me? yep)
  7. It occurs to me, though, that being a commercial they might have had multiple takes and if so this might have been Yuzu's best idea out of several.
  8. I wouldn't be too sure of that, and I speak as one of the great Bad Cooks of the World... I have burned boiled eggs (twice in an hour), exploded mushrooms, made a baby's bottle with icing sugar, added salt five times to a meal that didn't need it at all, more than once forgotten that tablespoons and teaspoons are, umm, not the same (even after the curry disaster), completely screwed up the complexities of toast with jam (I still don't quite know how)... and we don't talk about the Spaghetti Incident. I actually happily nodded along with Yizi's hot chocolate making and didn't quite (till you folk explained) get what was wrong with it. I also know a monk who still doesn't understand why throwing brown and white into the same pot to cook doesn't work, and read about a woman who forgot to put egg in her family's egg and lettuce sandwiches. We do try, we just... go blank. But at least Yuzu can afford to eat out/ring in as long as he needs to (I know of people who do that pretty much all the time, they NEVER make anything more complicated than corn flakes.)

    Music talk

I have a deep and hopeless love for movie soundtracks (and yes, the minute I saw Seimei I had to spend days looking for the music online) and would absolutely adore to see Yuzu adapt this theme from Ringu by Kenji Kawa... lovely shivery chills here.
