He wouldn't be Yuzu if he didn't.... after all, even when he 'played it safe' in the Olympics because of his ankle, his idea of what the words 'play it safe' seemed to have a meaning completely differently from how the rest of the world understands them

If we do hear that he's going to 4CC, I'll put a vote in for then - get the GPF, Nationals and Worlds out of the way (and hopefully win them, hey I don't pretend not to be biased!) then go for it where the score doesn't matter as much...

Me, I think anyone who can say they've survived Boston 16, the Olys 18 or both can survive anything..... but I'm not sure I will! (concentrating on how happy I will be come Monday....) I'm sooooo glad I saw it as a tree trunk before the chest hair idea came up (otoh, maybe newbie me was so traumatised by Doryzu I was prepared to embrace absolutely anything he threw at us). I'd do something to refine the fluttery sleeves, but other than that I'll be happy to see it again. And the skate itself will probably also be even better....All gorgeous, but that last one....Origin is perfection as is. Otonal maybe could be a little longer but I'm happy if it stays as is, especially the colour and decoration... And we get to see if Haru yo Koi is definitely the gala piece and if so.... will he change the cherry blossom outfit?Don't buy it, That Yuzu might think this is all too probable and totally him, but saying it out loud -? he's way too polite and careful to do that.Waaaay back in 2012, Kurt said part of the reason Yuzu was so exciting to watch was that "you never know what you're going to get..." and that's still true.When I first joined the fandom, I couldn't imagine how you all survived the frights and angst of last year - now every time I see '4A' pop up on my screen I begin to get an inkling. I'm beginning to wonder why I didn't decide to fall in thrall to the World Tiddleywinks Champion instead of someone as wonderful - and exciting - and damn terrifying - as Yuzuru Hanyu....

Of course he did, our baby ice prince started his golden hoard early. Is there anyone who didn't watch it and awwwwww themselves into a puddle of goo? He was so tiny....The interviews are great to watch even when you don't have a translation and know what they're saying, the respect and affection doesn't need translating, and you get the impression he was always a solid media support for Yuzuru, good or bad; it's not surprising that Yuzu wanted him to have a taste of wearing the PC medal. There's a Sochi video on youtube at the exact minute Shuzi realises (watching Patrick's marks, I think) that Yuzu has won, you can hear Yuzu's voice "I'm the first?... oh my god" and the look on the older man's face is just... wonderful.I've already voted, but have to admit that by then end it was sort of 'flip a coin, I can't choose!!!!!!!"Unless they are gloriously happy tears, of course, I'm sure there were plenty of those among the satellites after both skates at PD. Like you, I first watched after the fact and knowing he'd won, but found myself in tears along with Yuzuru at the end... I mean in the programs, I got eleven at number 1 and another six at 11... in the costumes I got fourteen at number 1!!!! - and seven at 15.....Which - given how obediently he takes such instructions - would be hystericalHoly........ and they wouldn't be charging it if they didn't think people would (well it looks like people DO) pay....
