Again, it makes me (and I suspect Yuzuru) appreciate Javi all the more: sure, he's now had how many years? experience dealing with being touched by the Yuzu-publicity fire, but he has been able to handle it with way more tact, grace and patience than most elite athletes (who by their nature tend to be alphas) could muster up....

I got on one once and fell off in three second. Was told "get back on!!" and you know that little clip of Yuzu going "I can't! I can't! NO!!!" in a cute-cranky-three-year-old's voice? That was me (rather less cute more cranky)

What we need to do is start loudly predicting all the things we don't want him to wear... or at least, we should have done that earlier. I imagine it's all doe and dusted now, and yes, I'm again going for "it will be nothing like anyone predicts!!" Actually, I love that, subtle as it is: he says that he doesn't need to do it better, and not for a minute that he can't......

Ah, I was expecting the zen (at least in public) to last longer, say right up till he stepped on the ACI ice, and then we'd all watch in fascination as he visibly transforms into "wiiiiiinnnnnnnnthegoooolllldddd" murderface... BTW, I've been thinking about the Origin costume and while I'm with pretty much everyone else (black. with gold. and sparkles) I'm learning that no matter what is expected, our Yuzu finds a way to completely go against it, so maybe it'll be completely different? (but I do want the black. And gold. and sparkles!!!)

The tributes will come, oh yes, but Plushy and Johnny are rather more blessed in that their tribute is by someone (in my biased eyes, okay, but even Plushenko has said it!) even greater than they were... just imagine how they will feel when they each see the programs for the first time. I will miss Seimei - still and probably forever my best loved - but I am now truly honestly glad that he waited till just before season started to give us this glimpse. Having this much of a taste a couple of months in advance, and then having to wait... would have been worse than the madness we were going through!

They are adorable though.... and her Yuzu is perfect. I am a huge fan of hers, even when I don't get the Japanese references...

From an interview I read by Satomi Ito when making the Seimei costume, she said basically Yuzu came up with the design, she developed and made it... I think he may very well do the same now, he's at the stage where he will be the one to come up with the costume and Satomi (if he goes to her again, he has since 2016) will make it work...

They know Yuzu's skating so intimately, they've done such perfectly-Yuzu work, they will come up with something unique and brilliant, I have faith in both of them. But I did say he would come up with something no one had thought of....

For sure he'd have done his own cut, and given what a superb job he did for Seimei, I think we can wait to hear it... But you have to give it to the King of Extra, don't you? He even fanboys way more extravangantly than most folk could dream....

No, but when you think of it, these programs are the ones chosen to follow Chopin (world and historic and Olympic record), and Seimei (the most iconic skating program of anyone's for the last godknowshowevermany years and with Chopin other world and historic record), and just before that Hope and Legacy (yet another world and historic record) the year before and LGC (okay, no records but the PPOS, yes!) So no pressure, Yuzu.....
