  2. what was Zhou's chronic injury? I thought the knee was a one-off thing
  3. Shun Sato's 4Lz was given positive GOE I really hope he wins the GPF. That'll tell the JSF to stop shooting him down.
  4. Really looking forward to it! I wonder how many and which countries he’ll cover in his tour if he has one, and how will they decide on that. Imagine Yuzu going on a holiday around the world! Who’ll be in his ice shows though? I think CWW really shows that there’s so much about him that we still don’t know. Like getting 60+ year old Minoru Sano to perform 😂
  5. Yuzu please hire him during CWW to produce a documentary video of every program you've done, we will buy the cds
  6. I'm meant in the perspective of the fans themselves Yea but there's ways to criticise judging without going into everyone of their fan's tweets and saying "how can you celebrate when their technique is so bad" things like that, I don't think these people are criticising judging as much as wanting to make their anger known to those skaters' fans.
  7. Looking at this I'm wondering, what's ChSq element? If Nathan can easily add 5.50 to his marks by ChSq then why doesn't everyone do it? Why doesn't Yuzu's ChSq get +5 across the board before? Does it have more to do with acting than actual skating? http://www.isuresults.com/results/season1920/gpfra2019/FSKMSINGLES-----------FNL-000100--_JudgesDetailsperSkater.pdf
  8. Sometimes I watch the fans' actions and the skaters' results, and I wonder about karma in action for the fans.... Like last year some Yuzu fans were attacking Shoma's +5 3A everywhere, and right after that Yuzu sprained his ankle in the next competition... Some Shoma fans were badly criticising Yuzu for skating with a sprained ankle, and after that Shoma sprained his own... Fans of Japanese ladies who hated the Russian girls for their "questionable techniques" had those Russian girls winning competitions and Japanese ladies slumping... Yuzu fans were tagging Nathan in tweets that criticise his skating, and next we know Yuzu lost to him in the Worlds... Some fans who support Shoma were hiring part time workers to slander Yuzu online with targeted messages, and now Shoma is in a mess... I think in the end, no matter how bad the scoring is, there's still a standard of behaviour that we should not go below, that is we shouldn't shove our opinions in others' faces when they're celebrating their favourite skaters' success, or constantly remain in a pit of negative thoughts about those skaters. The anger blinds us to stuff that they're good at, and pushes away the people we want on our side. Opinions remain opinions, and the only relevant party who needs to hear these opinions is ISU, not the skaters, not the fans (unless they ask about it). Being vindictive helps no one, it makes no friends who can give the much needed cooperation for changing things, it alienates the very people we want to convince. Sure being passive and meek does nothing, but imo aggression makes the situation worse, and will turn around to bite us over time.
  9. do you have the original photo? maybe can reverse search on google images or tin eye
  10. It will, but now with all the scoring inflation and quad hype, the race seems to be who can land the most quads cleanly, not the difficulty and quality of the quads anymore. When 15-year-old girls can land 4Lz left and right, landing 4A doesn't seem to be that big of an event in comparison. Also 4A's scores are only marginally higher than 4Lz despite the difficulty, and it really doesn't seem to be worth it unless you're Yuzuru Hanyu.
  11. Since there's so many popping up this season, it deserves its own thread ^^ Not sure if a similar thread exists, let me know if it does. Starting with this twitter thread with videos of Yuzu-inspired costumes / programs in figure skating, roller skating and freestyle unicycling :o more lists here Satomi Ito is quickly becoming one of the most influential designers lol Wonder if there's a list of Yuzu references in TV or anime
  12. This video is awesome we should send this to Canada commentators, they've been calling us Japanese fans since 2014 haha (btw if you press space bar after copying a plain text video link, it'll embed itself in the post!) it's so awesome to see the Russian ladies showing all their merchandises and paintings! Love for Yuzu knows no borders
  13. rip my brain T>T thanks for pointing that out I really want an LGC ex tho
  14. I'd give anything to see white LGC in ex. Please (actual SP here) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8-h-AaEJjvYMF9jQXhnY1RsNDg/edit
  15. omg didn't realise that! Would be so wonderful indeed! yea he can judge for himself, just wish him all the best and may the stars align for him
  16. It’ll be a tragedy if JNats is the first and only clean 4A of the season, what more it will not be ratified internationally. I think he’ll be smarter than that to take risks when it’s actually worth it, it’s not like he’s sacrificing nothing for each attempt. Wear a neck brace haha, you’re in for a ride on Yuzu roller coaster 😂
  17. I meant clean by “Yuzu’s” own standards haha, there was no way he was satisfied with that 4Lo, and same goes with 4A. I guess a more appropriate way to phrase it, is that he usually needs a few competitions to get the new jump to a standard he is satisfied with, and it’d be his regret of a lifetime if he cannot get a clean 4A on origin
  18. Then I'm not sure why he's announcing that he wants to land it in this season... surely a few months won't change the game by that much? And that each competition passed is one less chance to land it perfectly? It took him like 2-3 competitions to land the 4Lo cleanly in comp iirc, then when would he start, in GPF? 4CC? Worlds? I just confuse myself more and more lol
  19. I'd lean more towards debuting 4A than 4Lz, his attitude on 4Lz was iffy, but this could be his revenge for not being able to land 4A at Saitama last year, which was I suspect, his ultimate goal.
  20. He gave his fair share of criticism towards Dimitri Aliev for his lutz pick, but again that’s the only example I know of I think people liked him because of the PC commentary that he did of Yuzu where he analysed his technique and praised him a lot, and it seemed well founded along with the criticisms/praises he had for other men skaters
  21. D: this is bad maybe we should go for konnyaku instead
  22. I used to wonder a lot about these as well, and I’ve found my “answer” through studies on different thought processes. This site was quite helpful to my self development and understanding people who “I cannot understand”, hope you find it helpful if you’re interested https://mbti-notes.tumblr.com/masterposts I myself is an INTJ (intraverted intuitive dominant - Ni as first function), and I find that I tend to seek out or provoke contrasting info to form a more wholistic view. Granted I don’t do this all the time, and unfortunately I can get too righteous, but I try to keep this at the back of my mind and keep feeding info to form a more coherent picture. Sometimes I visit hate subs just to find out why people think that way lol. My feeling function is intraverted (Fi), meaning that to me, I prefer to judge for myself what is right or wrong, rather than to follow whatever people tell me. Some known stereotypes like immature ESTPs are intraverted intuitive inferior (Ni as the last function), so when underdeveloped, it just never crossed their mind that there could be more than one side of the story, and they really struggle to keep thinking about it. They prefer to “keep things straightforward” and “see things as they are”, which they perceive to be the truth. Their tertiary function “extroverted feeling” (Fe) makes them enjoy “validation” when listening to others, and they love to be part of a “community” that agrees with them. That’s why they seek out online celebrities and “parrot” them because they feel included. It kind of like how some people love sports and can’t imagine people being that bad at it because it’s natural to them, but some people hate it and get headaches trying to get good at it. But applied to different areas and thought processes in life. some people think this is pseudoscience but I found it helpful, only when it is used as a tool to understand things you couldn’t see before, and not as something to feed biases and confirm conclusions. It’s difficult to pick up, like learning a new language, but a worthy life long skill imo, can be applied irl as well
