Shuzo has been always respectful towards Yuzu right from the start since he first interviewed 16yr old Yuzu. In an interview somewhere, Yuzu said that Shuzo never treated him like a "kid" and spoke to him in respectful manner like talking to an adult. Shuzo clearly saw Yuzu as an athlete with immense talent even at the tender age and that is also a sign of Shuzo's sportsmanship - respect toward fellow athletes. To be at the top of any sport, it requires certain sacrifices, hardworking, and most of all, strong sense of self belief has to be there. Yuzu has many qualities that can take various effect on people. I love watching Shuzo's genuine appreciation for Yuzu as an athlete and really appreciate his genuine words about Yuzu being hurt with the various issues in the past. I also believe those challenges defined Yuzu what he is today. His mental strength was backed up by his belief in himself and his kuyashii spirit gave him the push every time a "wall" appeared in front of him. He is a self confessed "負けず嫌い" (someone who hates losing). He doesn't like losing to anybody especially to himself. The day he stop improving is when his kuyashii spirit had left him. I've got a feeling that the day may never come...

Doing a pair skating is one thing but I also want to see Yuzu and another male skater do side by side skating like Lambiel and Deniss did at FaOI. It would be beautiful...

Nessie is widely known to many parts of the world including Japan. Japanese love all that UMA (unidentified mysterious animals) things. That pokemon - Lapras is actually based on Nessie so Yuzu would know what Nessie is. But he wouldn't have a clue about what Nessie's got to do with him or his skating tho

I didn't really think about programs when I was scoring these costumes. Mine was based on purely wether I liked him in the costume or not without music or the actual performances. And surely you can tell what I think about Dory costume Otonal costume is definitely more winter feel than autumn. But Sendai is located higher latitude than the place I lived in Japan so maybe the autumn he knows is more wintery compared to mine...?

Me too... LGC is one of my number 1s. I think it's the hair style as well because LGC and Origin with the hair... Also I'm a sucker for Yuzu in blue and I know I may be minority but I like TFTT blue as well

Our beloved fanyu journo uncle Jack cannot stop now!! This video was made in Jan 2018 so at that time, nobody knew how Yuzu was doing in terms of injury recovery and preparation for the olympics. The song lyrics is actually fitting as before PC, many people tried to write Yuzu off saying he's not going to pull through. But Yuzu did. He believed in himself and that's the only thing that mattered to him and the rest is history Jack should come up with different phrases for introducing Yuzu videos but then again, if you actually click on the video link, it doesn't matter what the original tweet says as the video itself is self explanatory so maybe Jack knows that too

It was shown on the screen caption - 新エキシビションナンバー (new exhibition number) However, this was just put on by Fuji TV station at the time of the short interview with Yuzu and not actually been confirmed by Yuzu side. NB whatever Yuzu's decided to perform for EX, I'm sure we will be just as happy (having said that, I do not wish to see Dory again PLZ!!) Also I am secretly hoping that Yuzu will have more than one ex pro this season as he's done so before. For costume wise, I don't mind having different version if HYK is his ex for this season.

I've found Yuzu related something as well... Yuzu jam with gold leaf. Apparently this particular product is out of stock at the online shop where I found it. And also 54 people put it in their favourite folder and 23 people are waiting for it to be re-stoked. I wonder how many of them are also fanyus Wonder why Yuzu has chosen to do Nishikawa commercial in the first place. Does anyone know? Is it because of his name has 羽 (feather) in it and Nishikawa is a feather/down quilt maker?

Does Jack get YT recommendation after binge watch Yuzu videos like us or does he have an informer who does "research" for him? Can Jack employ one of the satellites to do that and can I nominate myself for that role??

Yes this is very hard question. Can we at least choose one each for sp, fs and ex? I'd choose PC Chopin for sp, Worlds H&L for fs and PC Notte Stellata for ex...oh hang on, I can't let go Requiem from worlds. I like GPS one as well but imo the performance at worlds had the emotions running deep throughout the performance because of what's happened earlier there. And if I can pick all time fav to add, I'd choose RJ1 Nice and that, I can never let go

I don't know any background of this particular program but I can see Australian government putting an official complaint like "That's not even close mate!" But for the pair to actually perform in front of so many people, they had to have at least brave hearts to think "We got this. Let's do it! We can do it". I kind of admire their very positive attitude...

I didn't know about them so I've searched on YT and found the video of their performance at European Championship. Wow...they're so over the top. Talk about criminally cringy and this could be classified as very offensive! I had to literally laugh out loud while I was watching the video of the Aboriginal Dance. Geez... I also agree with Davis/White Bollywood dance. I liked it. The facial expression and the hands, the costume and everything felt very close to authentic (plz don't shoot me). It's evident in their performances that one did actually thought a lot about it and spent some time studying their materials while others did not do their homework. To make something authentic, it has to have the spirit or the very essence of the culture that is portrayed. That's what I believe. You can mimic or copy things but if you don't have the heart, it is not the real thing. I felt Davis/White's performance had that zesty feeling of Bollywood movies and I've throughly enjoyed it. And sadly that was missing from Domnina/Shabalin's performance - the heart of the culture. Bigger the nation, bigger the national bias I assume. You can only pump so much hot-air into something that gets inflated. There is no substance just hot air bubbling here. I don't have anything against Nathan except I cannot seem to make any emotional connections to his performances. To me, his jumps are just jumps and nothing more than athletic movements while I see dramas in Yuzu's jumps Yes I am heavily biased too!

Still recovering from the majestic Evil King's spell. All our anxious wait and wishes truly rewarded with more than what we have hoped for and over Crazy fans are everywhere. When you look at pop/rock concerts, big sports events, and even royal weddings, incidents can happen anytime anywhere because of the crazy fans. It is unfortunate that we are all called Hanyu fans because we are bound together with our love for Mr Hanyu. But we shouldn't forget that how each of us behave in supporting Yuzu could have consequences that could damage Yuzu mentally and (I hope not but) physically. I know some people are purely delusional that they do not care or are not capable of caring the very person they admire (or desire I think...). Super enthusiastic people can be on the borderline if they're too involved in the situation and forget about what is acceptable behaviour for everyone including Yuzu. I'm sad and worried with Ghislain's words about Yuzu being too scared to go out because of the fans get too crazy. I've seen a YT video of the fans literally following him outside a comp venue right up until he gets in a car and left. It looked sooo wired and I wished people just leave him in peace. You can keep a distance and look if you want but follow around walking right behind him as if you're one of his crews is beyond creepy. I am usually very optimistic but after watching the video, obsessive & possessive fans are the dangerous kind of people and if Yuzu has to face that sort of people every time he goes out, no wonder he becomes more and more reclusive. When I lived in London, I happened to run into few celebs over the years and one of them was Tsuyoshi Kusanagi of SMAP. It was more than 20 years ago I think but I was in a ramen noodle place with my friend and we had just ordered a big meal each because we're hungry. And we noticed few people were looking over two Japanese guys eating ramens and my friend said "That's Kusanagi-kun". Then a young girl hesitantly went over to them and asked for an autograph. Kusanagi even shook her hand. But we're too embarrassed to do the same as we're 1) Two women with large ramen & gyozas in front of them and 2) They were clearly enjoying private time eating yummy noodles I can't understand why some of the mature aged Japanese obasans cannot respect Yuzu. I am middle aged woman myself but I certainly do not want to be tarred with the same brush as I have too much respect for him to dare invade his private life and personal space. I understand when you're young it is hard to contain yourself if you happen to meet your idol in person but if you're grown up, behave like you don't care about anybody else but yourself is just plain selfish more than anything else. Those people should not be called fans but are pests.

No new info or quote from Yuzu. It is mainly from the interview at the media day. Just one quote specifically saying フリーでは五輪後から「唯一のモチベーション」と語ってきた４回転半ジャンプも今季中に挑戦する意向だ。- He is intending to include 4A which Yuzuru referred as "the only motivation" after PC into his fs in this season.

His thesis could be titled "Correlation analysis of 4A and other quad jumps effects on human body - the impact measured by the hair loss effect". To coincide the thesis submission, BOrser will publish self confessed book titled "Rise and fall of a long suffering coach - how to rebuild your hair follicle confidence vol.1". I will definitely buy a copy if I could
