On both days, I will be watching the live stream in my bed as it will start just after 1am for sp and 12:30am for fs. Yuzu will be skating in the last group (I assume) so by the time he's on the ice my eyes would be very tired to see it properly. I'm hoping either Yuzu's brilliant performance or his costume will wake me up...

I don't know which goes first, my hair or my nails....

A professor of sport science or someone who analysed Yuzu's 3A told that it requires 8 seconds or so for Yuzu to complete 4 and a half revolution. So the JPN media will make a 30 min segment based on that 8 second clip ETA: It's not 8 seconds but 0.8 seconds!

I'd imagine all media personnel had to sign a secrecy agreement prior to attend the media day so TCC/Yuzu side have total control of what can be asked/published/broadcasted including 4A. Having said that, I don't think Yuzu had showed full details of Otonal to all the media people there. But somehow little things we've seen so far is telling me that 4A will be debuting at some point in this season possibly either as the first or the last jump within SP. The recent footages from media day showing his 3A and they are getting higher & higher. To me, I can almost see something even bigger is trying to come out from those 3As. I really believe we will see that in full view before the end of this season. Yuzu said 跳びます so that means he will/is going to jump (tho he didn't say "when"). Somewhere in an interview, I've seen Yuzu said more or less he believes in 言霊 (kotodama) which is a concept widely accepted within Japanese culture that when a word is come out from someone's mouth, it will become to possess a soul/spirit that can manifest certain outcomes. If your words are negative, it could manifest bad outcomes. I don't think Yuzu is believing this like a religion. The concept of 言霊 is a kind of superstition like you feel lucky or unlucky with certain things. NB Yuzu has track record of using the power of 言霊 to get good results including 2OGM. I'm scared and excited at the same time thinking the dawn of Nessie era is just around a corner...

So he said 「想像はしてないです。跳びます」 I read this as he no longer needs to imagine because he's already successfully jumped/landed. All he does now is 跳びます - you could say this as "I'm going to jump". The day baby Nessie is born come sooner rather than later I recon. Gotta prepare those nessie plushies NOW!

Reporting satellite to the planet...only 10 more days till the planet activity level changes to the most volatile phase. Be prepared. I repeat, all satellites must be prepared.

Was it that someone who had newly joined TCC has anything to do with this influence? Geez...I didn't realise Origin had a hidden theme of super hero...

What if his ambition of becoming the top had actually worked as a limiter of his true ability in the past? Now that he's finally free from all that and is going to unleash the full power of Slayzuru or Blazuru to burn the whole field. I don't think we stand a chance of surviving that level of Yuzuness...

If he's going to be very experimental (you know what I mean?) with his SP, I'd say he can expect canadian silver if he's lucky. But I'm fairly confident that his newly found relaxed attitude towards skating may just do the trick and get unexpected result or at least I can dream about it until it actually happens!!

So sp will be fine but we're gonna eat our first pancake with fs? And ACI being in Canada but not his first GP and would he still get his first silver of the season? But this season is like a brand new season with his 2OGM so the silver curse may not affect and we'll not have our pancake at all?

Why am I feeling like burst into tears while I'm watching this...it's just snippets of practice and yet Yuzu's soul is already there in the heart of the program. This is already devastatingly beautiful and I know I will not survive ACI

About Yuzu and bike. He probably never had a chance to properly practice riding a bike when he was a kid because of figure skating. He started skating at the age of 4 so he wasn't really interested in anything else at the time. By the time he's started competing in novice, his time after school would have been spent for training everyday. As for swimming, most of kids in Japan are taught to swim at school and also by joining swimming clubs (outside school). I have a friend who has asthma and she had to quit swimming when her asthma got worse. She said the chlorine in the swimming pool aggravated her asthma. So I don't think Yuzu had much swimming lessons outside school and I don't believe he will be taking swimming lessons any time soon either. He will have a better chance with swimming in sea water but if he doesn't like getting sandy feet, there'll be no chance of that either. So basically he cannot ride a bike and cannot swim because of his love and devotion for figure skating. When you possesses ability to rotate 4 (and a half?) times while in the air, relatively easier skills like riding a bike or swimming becomes not so interesting...or does he secretly envies people with more ordinary skills just because he hasn't got them? But I really don't think his kuyashii is activated outside figure skating Every time Yuzu's inability to do more common things like riding/swimming on a topic, I just recall mushroom Yuzu's words that I've heard in a documentary. When he's asked about he doesn't have time to play with friends after school because of figure skating training, he said "This is fine by me" (俺はこれでいいと思ってる). Being an ordinary kid is something that Yuzu never got to experience long enough I suppose.

Recently I have been re-watching & re-reading Yuzu's press cons after PC and found the part that he was talking about the subject. I've time stamped at 27:56 - Yuzu's part then the interpreter/translator's part. I believe his words came from his belief as well as his own experiences over the years. He strives to achieve this ideal - artistry based on the foundation of correct technique & skill. Jumps should be incorporated into a program to become an integral part of the expression to complete a story/performance.

We've had a streaming party with @Murieleirum's curtesy tonight and the channel was FUJI so maybe we can find out from her...
-
It's on BS Fuji but the thing is, Fuji channels are no longer on FUJI TV site so you cannot watch it there...
-
No Yuzu said 6 meters not 8!!
-
FUJI TV (channel not the app) is going to air Figure Skate TV on 8th - next Saturday night 23:00 - 23:55 pm JST so it may be more footage then. If any other media is allowed to show more footage from the media day is unknown...

The interviewer asked what's like to try jumping 4A and Yuzu said it's like rotating 4 and a half times while long jumping.

I can't believe it's over already!!

Yes! This is the right channel!! THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!

This is slightly off topic here but I love Monjiro's (this artist's) jump babies - the artist calls them "式神ず" (式神 is deity that Onmiyoji/陰陽師 summon to make them carry out various tasks) The translation/caption from Echo Cheng is slightly different to the original. Left one: 「マリカーは1日1時間」means Mario Cart (playing time) is one hour per day. Yuzu's telling them not to spend too much time playing games Right one: 「奥の手!切り札!かくし玉!伝家の宝刀!」more or less these mean 'secret weapon/killer technique/final blow' Yuzu's telling flip & lutz to stay behind but he is not saying he doesn't need them but rather keeping them safe until they are needed. But having said that, Yuzu's asking them at the end 「わっわかった??!」"D..did you understand??!" so he stammered the word and it could mean he's hiding his true intention... This artist is so good with her drawings and some stuff she comes up is very clever!! I love her little 式神ず! They are so cute!!

Finally I've caught up with the thread. It took me a while but it's worth it! Thanks guys. The way the thread exploded with the music announcement and later went into analytic mode about the layouts and not to mention some fantastic suggestions and wild fantasies about possible costume choices are just so typical of PH. I love this planet I'm also all dried up now from too much crying with Yuzu program snippets. I seriously underestimated Yuzu essence as just a whiff of it was enough to knock me out completely... One thing that I just wanted to say about Yuzu's new programs: Though it is based on the same pieces of music that Plushy skated for the tribute to Nijinsky, I really believe Origin is Yuzu's original program not a copy or recycle/remake of previously created program. Some people have expressed that since no reference to Nijinsky with the pieces of music that Yuzu's using, it cannot be called a tribute to Plushy's Nijinsky tribute program. However, I didn't see in the interviews that Yuzu actually referred Origin as a tribute program to Plushy's Nijinsky program. I gathered that he wanted to perform to the music from the program. And knowing that his own skating style is different to Plushy's, it means he will express it in his own way not based on Plushy's interpretation. So if he drops the piece of music that refers to Nijinsky then it is simply because Yuzu is not trying to create a tribute program of anyone. It's because he's using the pieces from a tribute program, that doesn't mean he has to stick to all of the original music or the concept. He's a Plushy fanboy for sure but his own creativity will not allow him to completely lose the sight of what he aims with his programs. That is, to express what he feels/sees in the music/program through performance. It will be the same for Otonal. Yuzu watched Johnny performs to the music with light and airy jump landings and so on. So I believe things Yuzu wants to express will not be exactly same as Johnny but will have some parts that was inspired by Johnny. Also some people have mentioned r-word and I sensed that too with his choice of music for both sp & fs. Yuzu himself agreed that his competition days are getting closer to the end of its period too. However, he is not consciously thinking about the actual day and doesn't think the time is here yet. After 2OGM and other gold medals, he really thinks chibi (small) Yuzu will have to let him do whatever he wants for the first time in his skating life. I'd say to Yuzu to skate whatever he likes and carry on as long as he likes. He truly deserves it to simply skate and enjoy till his heart's content. But one thing that we all know is, his ideal/satisfaction in terms of skating will come hand in hand with the results (WR or wins). So his priority may shift from competition/win to his own satisfaction, the effect may not be different after all. He is in the league of his own... I thought this season and beyond is a bonus stage for Yuzu but I've got a feeling that it is rather a 強くてニューゲーム. When you've beaten the last boss and save the world in a game, you will get an option to start a new game with your last status (level 99 or something). This is that.
