The bold font part - I can't decide if I should freak out or tremble with creepiness. But TBH, if no one is looking, I may touch a part of the statue's body...I'm not telling you which part is in my mind

I think the far left with pink top is Keiji:D But don't know who the far right with twin tails and the one next it...

Dory or TFTT, I don't mind either way just as long as Yuzu skates till his heart's content If you talk about the costumes, I'd pick TFTT blue over Dory blue any day with all flowers and frills As for the TFTT track used in the vid clip, Asahi TV station's program called リクエスト企画 (viewer's requests programs of FS), they use the song as the program title track so I believe it is quite familiar among Japanese figure skating fans. Maybe because of the copy right, using TFTT is the easiest way to associate Yuzu with the TV program? I am not sure what program Yuzu is going to show us on 24hr TV but with HYK, an issue is the music source being live piano. So unless Shinya or someone else had already recorded a version for Yuzu to use, getting the music is not so straightforward. Dory is for the same reason (but it could be possible if Yuzu uses the Chemistry's recorded version - not sure if the version is very different to the live one tho). I've gone thru some posts and blogs and concluded that the 24hr TV of Yuzu's segment has already been recorded including an ice show presented to the people of Naraha town. Yuzu must have done it all while he's in Japan for the ice shows during May/Jun/July. And I've been thinking about Shinya's twitter post re HYK music source. He's posted "this (piano music score/piece/arrangement) does not exist as a recording yet in the world". This "yet" part bothers me if HYK is indeed Yuzu's EX pro for this season because I believe Shinya must have already been asked by Yuzu to record it when he's posted the tweet. Yuzu know how to use time & an opportunity wisely to organise things in very short time...doing HYK for 24hr TV will make sense if we think about the song's meaning. Yuzu had visited Naraha towns people at the temporarily housing blocks (when it was winter for them). Now a lot of Naraha people have moved back to their home town. Spring has come or will come for those who endured long winter. Thinking Yuzu's spending hot summer days in icy cold rink at TCC makes me smile a smile of satisfaction. Knowing he's in his element with new determination to create new programs to shape FS future!! Ice show Yuzu is happy & cute but what I admire the most is when he's competing among the lot. He loves to skate and compete, BOrser said it and that is so so true and I love that

Some say a black hole is paired with a white hole so we can balance out. But the white hole is not necessary located within the same universe...
-
You mean a black hole? I thought Yuzu beams the brightest light of all...or maybe the figure in the pic is his evil twin...

CoC FS for some people is the hardest to re-watch but for me I can take it even though I cry a river along with it. I think mental pain is worse than physical pain as the body can heal itself through natural process (to the certain extent) while mental pain can be prolonged until you completely process the event and accept the outcome to move on. I've seen an interview of Yuzu where he was talking about the CoC event and how it impacted him. I gathered that the event hurt him physically but his decision of continue skating afterwards was made based on him not having concussion at the time. He couldn't move because he was winded badly and couldn't breathe. The pain was mainly on his abdomen and the legs but the cut on his chin and head made it look more horrific. I admit it was horrible event and his decision was controversial but seeing the recovery and GPF POTO, the decision had paid off. Yuzu's story still continues so maybe one day we can look back and watch Boston 2016 as a part of his glorious skating history...

I love the EX as well. The beauty in skating itself as well as the emotion throughout the program is just stunning. One of my fav of EX. Sometimes I watch the CoC FS as well (maybe I'm a do-M...) but somehow I can never watch WC 2016 FS...I've watched it once when I was quite newbie of fanyu didn't know anything much right after I watched 2016 WC SP and well...I've learned the whole thing afterwards so once was enough for me.

World's 2016 is on JSports 04 (039 on Asahi TV) and 07/29 17:00 (it's actually on right now). I don't think I can watch the whole thing as it is just too heartbreaking...but SP is okay (but then again think about the result it still hurts...)

Whoever made this faux news is very clever. I couldn't help but lol about Yuzu recording the pigeon cooing with his own voice. Yuzu had made that bird like shrill cry when he's bombed his jump at a show practice so it's believable! Yuzu and birds are synonyms as his family name with 羽 in it. Swan, crane, Nipponia nippon, robin, pigeon...what other birds can be used for describing Yuzu I wonder...I think Yuzu doing LGC could be described as a peacock as he's displaying his presence very proudly and not ashamed one bit! Waiting on his program announcement while other skaters revealing theirs one by one kind of building the drama to the climax. When finally the day comes, I am sure, we will go absolutely crazy and I just cannot wait for it!! This Iron Klaus's post shows a wonderful hashtag that jpn fanyu had created. This time it is called #いかに羽生くんを笑顔にする報告ができるか選手権. It could be translated like 'The competition of how to come up with a (personal) news that make Hanyu-kun smile'. As I was reading each posts, I just felt this massive and genuine love of everyone who cares about Yuzu trying to tell him that we all love him dearly and only thing that we all want is for him to be happy. If Yuzu does read these posts, they will surely make him smile or laugh out loud. But for some reason, it made me cry. 'Wrap him up in cotton wool', the british commentator uncles once said it and they're right. Sometimes when I look at Yuzu, the feeling that comes over me is like that. I know he's a grown man now but still cannot help but feeling maternal and protective... Yuzuru my dear, whatever you decide for your program (or music or costume or elements , etc), we're gonna have a ball this season. I know you will blow us all to pieces and that is what we all want

Just to add few things. Her name is Kiyou Shimizu and she is a karate champion of karate kata (空手型=karate form). Karate kata is like a karate performance. There are two people competing against each other but they don't fight but instead they perform karate moves. It has a theme and they show various karate kata and moves according to the theme they choose. What she is referring in the video is that she studies Yuzu's skating to learn especially the use of his knees to get ideas that can be used in her karate performance. That is why she said figure skating tells story in the movements, composition and flow. Karate kata performance also has a theme or a story that they express through their movements. ETA: The news is picked because Karate competitions at the Tokyo olympics 2020. I think they are hoping Ms Shimizu will bring an olympic medal at the games like Yuzu.

Yuzu's hair is straight, thick and rather coarse so I don't think it's suitable for mullets or perms. If he's got perms, he'd look like a broccoli rather than a mushroom... Since he needs tons of hair spray or wax to style his hair, keep it short and just brush back is the best way to handle it. And for Yuzu to have Jimi Hendrix type of afro, he'd need a wig and I cannot decide if that's worse than his '殿' wig...

After 2 OGM, I really think this is a bonus stage for Yuzu so whatever comes my way, I'll just grab it. Before PC, I expected him to announce his retirement right after it's finished. I think this season will have the usual ups and downs but I am just so happy that Yuzu has decided to continue his journey for a bit longer. Mind you, whatever the ups or downs would still affect me in every way but I'm saying that's a part of the deal. During the darkest months before PC, I could never imagined Yuzu would be giving us brand new programs let alone continue skating so by all means, just bring it on

I can't believe the news...Denis' death is so sudden and it shows how cruel the life can be. My heart goes out to his family and friends. Rest in peace Denis...
-
Thank you. I can't believe Denis Ten has died...I've searched and read the news. It is so sudden and so cruel.

Have you guys changed the site design? There's no Yuzu photo on the site top and the colour scheme has gone to grey/black/white. Also the site title font looks different as well..

One day they will build Hanyu Yuzuru museum and all his headphones will be on display chronologically. The caption will be there to remind people which headphones were used at olys as well as all WR comps and such. The engraved iPod from Nanami sensei will be there too. I wonder if they have audio display to listen to Yuzu's warm up music library including One OK Rock - 完全感覚Dreamer

I've watched the program - ビートたけしのスポーツ大賞 but didn't see any new photos or news that we/fanyu don't know of. The part that related to Yuzu was rather short and it was about his all black blades in order to eliminate the use of 'silver'. If you've watched CWW then there's no new secret that we need to discover. So all in all there's nothing that you've missed if you didn't watch the program. I'm in UK right now and enjoying the lovely weather while nursing my two-day hangover since Sunday morning. Through my foggy head and constant wave of tiredness, I've thought about Yuzu and drinking. Yuzu being dedicated athlete and has asthma, not to mention his experience of allergic reaction to the surgical disinfectant, it's for the best that Yuzu and alcohol kept each other some distance. He has repeatedly said through interviews as well as TV appearances that he cannot drink 'お酒は飲めません' probably because it is easier to say 'cannot drink' than 'do not drink' 'お酒は飲みません' as the latter may create further question of 'why?'. One cannot drink alcohol for whatever reason doesn't need to explain in details of why they cannot drink as it could be relating to more private issues and most people would understand (in Japanese culture anyway). Yuzu doesn't need to explain this to anyone as the decision is based on what's beneficial for him. Later in his life if he'd like to develop alcohol tolerance in order to enjoy the alcohol intoxication, he will have the whole life to do so after his retirement from the competitive figure skating. But as long as he remains in the competition, I don't think he'd risk anything to find the pleasure of drinking. What is drinking anyway? I'd say it's overrated. I believe most of us who enjoy drinking do it because we feel liberated from ourselves that we're usually maintaining in order to lead everyday life like work, study, etc. And also we do it to enjoy the time with friends or families around drinking occasion. Those who drink alone is not drinking because they enjoy it but rather they have to drink to forget about their hardships or they're addicted to alcohol. Most of us know that you don't need to drink to enjoy what life offers you so for Yuzu's case, I would like to think he's decided for now that he does not need to drink for whatever the reason. If he cannot drink or doesn't not drink won't really matter. I usually do not drink at home but when I'm on holiday among family and old friends, I'd like to enjoy it with them even with the hangover afterwards...but some days I ask myself 'why do I do this to myself?'

Are we talking about Yuzu and yuzu related topic now? Japanese fanyus came up with another hashtag, this time is #砂漠期を乗り切ろう (#surviving the drought season / off season). When I looked at this Yuzu photo, I thought wth...

If Yuzu's chosen to be a torch runner, I bet he'd practice it with mock torch in his hand so that his Sasuke/penguin running form will get a special recognition by the Japanese media. He is such an Extra boy after all

Oh so it IS Yuzu!! I was fooled by the caption: ブルーノくんの浴衣ぁぁぁぁ!!! (Bruno's yukata!!!) Thanks for finding the original picture!! Now I can look at the pic and admire (knowing that it's truly Yuzu) ETA: I should have borrowed fanyu cryptic analysis skill and observe the pic as the bracelet was the give away!!
-
I believe the body in this picture is too bulky to be Yuzu's and also if you look at the neck, it is definitely thicker than Yuzu's... This pic below and the one you've posted is from before but the pic that @vanadiezz posted is from recent one like Scott and Tessa's and I believe the skaters at Dreams on Ice were invited to meet sumo guys or something??
-
Ummm...Yuzu's head been transplanted on Bruno's body apparently NB Yuzu with hakama or yukata has all the reasons to search for HD pic for sure!! Please share with us if you found one

I didn't think Kozuka meant any harm but the comparison was done just too casually and not really being thought through. I think Kozuka is courteous enough towards Yuzu but he is not really close to Yuzu to sympathise with his way of thinking so you cannot compare his view with the fans'. I can see why some Japanese fans are angry with Kozuka's comment. Yuzu once said that it doesn't sit right with him for not giving everything he's got towards the performance and end up winning. He also said that there's no fun in leaving out something you can do it's because you don't need them for winning. What Yuzu did at PC wasn't leaving something out because he didn't need them in order to win. It was, as Yuzu himself said in an interview afterwards that he's done everything he possibly could within his condition at the time to win the 2nd gold medal. His condition being still nursing possibly the career ending injury but his desire to win at PC was so strong that he had to think through the cleverest strategy while he preserve the condition (meaning to minimise the further damage to his injury). As a result, Yuzu ditched the risky jumps and opted for the more stable jumps that are also less impact to the injury. How can you compare this with Japan team's strategy of doodling around the last 10 mins to secure their win? If you say two are the same in terms of it is called a strategy of 'choosing a safer path for winning' then you're missing a point. I believe Kozuka effectively said that Yuzu took an easier way to win and that is just far from the truth and I cannot blame if people think this as an insult. If Yuzu wasn't injured, we are sure that we'd see him perform the programs with more difficult layouts and probably had a new WR or two because that is the way Yuzu thinks and that is what he does. Many Japanese see the way that Japan team won over Poland is a shameful win. We call it 潔くない = not a good sport. Knowing that, you can see why Japanese fans are angry with Kozuka's comment. But I don't think it's right to attack Kozuka either. It is just so careless on Kozuka's part for using Japan soccer team's win against Poland to compare with Yuzu's win. It was just stupid and nothing more.

It is on BS Asahi so we can watch it on FujiTV
