I thought there were sparkles on PW. There are pleated parts on the shirt that had plenty of sparkles. They're hidden but are still sparkles:D

I just want to share this. The OP says: What is great about Hanyu-kun is the fact that though he's a male skater, he can dance as if he's a delicate flower and he is not apologetic or being embarrassed about it. That is because he knows that he can show off his strong charismatic side any time whenever he wishes to do so. I thought this is very true. I was thinking that Yuzu's masculinity and femininity in terms of his skating expression is like colours to an artist. When an artist chooses a colour to capture/express the images/vision inside his head, he will pick or make up the colour to portray that image. The things that Yuzu chooses for his skating, like costumes, music, as well as elements are the tools and materials for his art. Some colours are soft or subtle that could be perceived as feminine and some colours are bold or strong and that is seen as masculine. They are picked purposefully to create the image that Yuzu wants to express. His ability to perform in such wide ranged expression makes him so unique and exciting. To me, Yuzu is an athlete as well as an artist. I also think he is a muse for many people as I see a lot of people getting inspiration from Yuzu and draw pictures or create things. I, as an observer or a mere satellite, appreciate every opportunity to admire what Yuzu offers as well as numerous fan arts that people generously share with us

Sorry to butt in, but when I checked yesterday, the thread page was around 3698 and today I saw some 8 or 9 pages been added and wondered what's happened. I'm not going to dig up the discussion that's been going on the past pages but would like to say what I feel about this forum. I'll put into the spoiler so those who do not wish to read, please skip. Few days ago when I was going through Japanese fanyu stuff, I've seen few posts about Japanese Yuzu fan being rather critical. I think this is perfectly natural as the man himself is the harshest critic of all. His perfectionist trait does draw in people with the same trait so that's inevitable. But at the bottom of the heart, we all so madly love Yuzu and things he does. We run wild with our passion sometimes and tbh I do sometimes catch myself on thinking "what am I doing??" I'm a Yuzu addict that's the truth. There I said it! ...now I go back and watch some more Yuzu documentaries for further research to find a cure for this addiction...

Yuzu's singing voice is more fleeting than 4A... In the making of this video, after the close up shoot Yuzu exclaimed 'Oh I so want to skate!'. I think he was more embarrassed than anybody else for doing the video shoot but being professional like he is, he just did it. Shoma looked a bit confused. Maybe he was still sleepy

I wonder how Shinya became to call Yuzu-chan...what kind of interaction have they had...? The quote '音源など、世の中には今は一切ございません' with the word '今は', I think he meant you cannot find the music source because it does not even exist in the world yet. This could mean as if this special arranged version could become available if circumstances met certain condition like a special person requests it to be recorded...? So I'd say we still have a chance here for this whole 天女の舞 (celestial maiden's dance) could become his new EX for the coming season:D It's all in Yuzu and his grand plan I can definitely relate to this. But GOLD is so 80's it could get too cheesy and also it could bring back many of the embarrassing fashions of the era to go with so sadly say no to the song choice for the sake of post-80's children.

I think it's this one... They picked few people who were made into news headlines and social medias in the first half of the year 2018. Yuzu was one of them and they made a quiz about him. The question was 'What was an unexpected way that fans enjoyed the Sendai parade?' The answer was the twitter hashtag #羽生結弦の写真撮るの下手くそ選手権.

Not sure where to drop this but since this is Yuzu thread so here should be fine... Someone had created the version with the Chinese zither (古筝).

And the fabric/product is called '天女の羽衣' (heavenly maiden's feather coat). What a fitting choice of material to be made into a heavenly costume for a heavenly skater Some of us knew all along that he came from the place above but now it's confirmed!!

The second one's original version is still on YT. When I listen to the song (Japanese one), Yuzu and his efforts in trying to encourage people in those earthquake disaster areas (Hanshin-Awaji, Kumamoto, and Tohoku) just hits me. His skating is not just giving people joy but also giving them hope as if he's healing the deep wounds of people's hearts. Yuzu understands because he's one of them as he was there when the earthquake hit them. I think process of healing starts from accepting the losses and realise that you still have something left that can be cherished. I have no words to describe how much I appreciate Yuzu as a skater as well as a person with great courage. His struggles and victories both shaped who he is today and he's still only 23 and I wonder how far he can go...

It's interesting topics do come up everyday... I did a quick search and this author stating dry cleaning for those delicate.bling costumes aren't recommended. Instead, some interesting method using vodka... https://www.racked.com/2017/3/10/14790558/rhinestone-beaded-bedazzled-vodka

Can someone check out Yuzu exhibition at Niigata and tell us which costumes are on display? If we know which one is not on display, we can guess which costume is likely to appear at the next ice show. But what I'm scared is even though WoW will not be performed in Kobe, adorable sea slug Dory could still make into the show...

Sorry to cross post my own but this is something I've posted on Guess the New Program thread: I don't really care much about music choice now but I must see Yuzu with slick back hair like when LGC (so we can see his forehead) also wearing shirt & tie. Today I have seen some signs so the universe must materialise this pretty sooooooon!!! Few of us may die of massive nose bleed but hey, if I can see Yuzu wearing tie with hair pushed back, I'm sure I can die happily going to heaven! So BRING IT ON!!

#おれの推しが脚長すぎて困る What a great hashtag! Sorry not sorry!!

Age is just a number and you're as old as you feel. I am old enough to appreciate life's many ups and downs and Yuzu is a giant part of them! Ups or downs, I will make a most of it

People's Honour Award (国民栄誉賞) was created in 1977 by prime minister Takeo Fukuda. There's an English Wiki page. The previous youngest recipient is Yasuhiro Yamashita (Judo competitor/1984 Los Angeles Olympic gold medalist) as the age of 27 at the time he's received the award. I believe this award is largely decided by the prime minister at the time and he consults with the award committee of some sort to consider the suitability. I have seen several news or social posts regarding Yuzu's case that he is too young to receive or figure skater is not worthy of the award, etc. But I believe they have decided to give the award to Yuzu not just because he's achieved double OGM, also Yuzu's continual effort towards charity work for the disaster area was the major factor as well. The National Human Treasure you're referring is 人間国宝. This is not the official name but it is used to call the person who is recognised in the registered national/traditional art or skill. Art including performing art such as Noh, Kabuki, etc and skills/crafts such as Japanese sword-smith, textile, lacquer art, pottery, etc. So unless figure skating becomes Japanese traditional art or skill, a figure skater will not be considered for the award.

His extra ordinary goals are taking the centre of his life at the moment and that is not going to change any time soon. Going out or staying in, one thing I want for him is that he uses his spare time to do whatever he'd like to enjoy or relax. Niagara Falls is there for hundreds and thousands of years so whenever Yuzu decides to go at later time in his life, I'm sure it is still there. No worries! Sightseeing in Toronto does not have his priorities at the moment and I think that is it. His current life style is pretty much built around figure skating ever since he's very young. In a documentary, school aged Yuzu was stating that he does not/cannot play with schoolmates because of his training after school everyday. He said 'That is fine by me' and I thought that is really an extra ordinary for a very young child to say. And if as a result, Yuzu become socially isolated, that is because of the decision that he made at a very young age. Not many people can stick to something that they've decided so long ago. His commitment for figure skating is the very foundation of his achievements. His competition days bound him to the life he's leading right now. I also imagine that because of his popularity, the demand from the media or the organisations that he has obligations to is much higher than any other figure skaters. Ice shows, interviews with media, TV CMs and so on, they all take up a lot of his time wherever he goes. Not just that, he does his university studies and assignments within his free time as well. So I want to say let him be whatever he wants to be whenever he does not have to be HANYU YUZURU the legendary figure skater People forget that he is a human being and his 'me time' should be left alone. Being popular and famous has it's price but he should not have to be subjected for scrutiny on his free time. If he spends solid 12 hr non-stop game playing, I'd say good for him! Just as long as he enjoys I am sure that his life will take its natural course whenever he decides to change his priorities. If that is his other work or his personal life needs more attention or time, he will give that. As a fan, my only wish is his health and happiness wherever he is and whatever he decides to do. He's already given us fans so much happiness and joy so I am just grateful for his very existence in my ordinary life

I think Yuzu will embrace the whole situation and try to make most of the arrangement. Wether BOser 'told' or 'asked' Yuzu, I'd like to believe Brian's a decent/reasonable guy and did things to ensure the people involved feel comfortable enough. Yuzu loves to compete and from his previous quote, he'd like everyone to give good performances and he would most love to battle through such competitions and come out victorious. He will take on any challenges in terms of figure skating including rule changes so having direct competitor in the same rink would not affect him as much as other skaters would be. I'll take Hersh's article with a pinch of smelling salts. The guy just can't help being blunt object /knife/tool

Hello! I was just checking FaOI Kanazawa (金沢) TV broadcast and found that according to FaOI web site, TV broadcast is done by CS Asahi not BS Asahi as it it stated on the planet event details. Also the link to the discussion thread for Kanazawa takes you to Makuhari thread. I know it's minor things but it could affect people in panic state (like myself) just before the broadcast starts...

@OonsieHui this question had prompted me to search something I've never thought I needed to search... Male figure skaters and male dancers share the same issues and the answer we're looking for lies there...I mean here You learn something new every day

Masaru and Zagi-chan look so happy together but my question is...wth Is that a stuffed bear in the background??
