    Yeah! I haven't had time to get tired of warhorses since I haven't followed any full seasons before. It did get a little amusing finding so many R+J programs this year, from juniors to seniors.

    If Chopin hadn't been divided in two, which I understand since they're really different costumes in a way, I'd have have voted for purple LGC too, but as it was, I had to make a very hard decision. But consider my sixth vote for LGC. Because, goddammit, those pants. :s_whiteflag

    Exactly my thought. All the "What if skater X didn't do that or that..."-talk is futile in my opinion because skater X did exactly that or that. You can't change the past. (I hope my post makes sense to you. English isn't my native language) As another example from Worlds what ifs... What if Yuzu hadn't had an issue with his combo in the SP? He might not have won with only a 2-point difference in that case...

É melhor não dar ideias malucas ao Yuzuru... haha Eu mudei-me para Macau há uns anos por isso já não tenho Eurosport... mas realmente prefiro comentário inglês :P Não há comparação possível. Os tios da BESP podem ser problemáticos e também fazer alguns erros nos seus comentários, mas são bem melhores de se ouvir que estas duas senhoras da Eurosport PT.

    Também não uso português na net com muita frequência. E provavelmente não devo contribuir muito aqui porque na maioria das vezes estarei nas zonas internacionais a comunicar em inglês, mas olá a tod@s! Já agora, a Eurosport em Portugal agora tem comentário em português para patinagem artística. Duas senhoras normalmente providenciam esse comentário, mas não recordo o nome delas. Mas o comentário delas pode ser algo... suspeito. A primeira vez que as ouvi comentar, uma delas pensava que podias fazer as combinações que quisesses, sem limite de número, no programa longo. :hachimaki:

    I actually really like the sea lettuce costume. I find it fits the theme of Requiem so incredibly well and I love how it looks like waves. Agree that Zigga-strawberry-weisen is a stain on costumes everywhere, but I think it doesn't help he was a little twig back then and the costume seemed to hang on him.

    This is probably veering into off Hanyu topic, but are there any skaters with equally strong Lutz and Flip? As in, they have absolutely no issues with edge. Is it a very rare thing not to have issues with either jump? I think Nathan Chen is an example of someone with both a good Lutz and a good Flip, right?

    Translated for you guys :D -What can you tell us about these shows (programs i guess) that you've prepared for PyeongChang 2018? -For the short i can say we'll visit an old friend again. Won't be the same, but we'll use a part from the same music. I think it will be a good idea. The free will have spanish music, but won't be something traditional. We've chosen a spanish character that is known around the world, so the people can put a face on what i am doing and skating. Until we have it on the table (i thiiiiiink this would mean in english something like, until the time comes to discuss it seriously) we won't know what we're going to do as the final result. Thanks for your translation! And I know he'll rock the Spanish programme, he's done so many times before now. I'm very curious about the famous character he's going to portray too :grin: Don Juan or Don Quixote are the most obvious possibilities, but I've seen someone even speculate it could be Picasso.

    What impressed me so much about Kaori at Junior Worlds, it being the first time I actually watched her, was her incredible speed! She was just flying. That, and her counter 2A. :love:

Edit: This is, of course, because Shoma has a 4F, which is higher BV than Yuzu's 4S, the only quad neither shares.

    Yes. True Lutzers bends their knee to keeps the outside edge and it creates this shape bending shape. While Fluzters always straighten their legs at take off. You mentioned before he is now even having the leg position correctly.

    I noticed this from some skater. But maybe you are right it is not the gap but the shape instead. But then again some skaters just have weird ways of doing things like Anna P lutz for example, so it may not apply for everybody? No, Anna's legs and thighs have correct shape for the outside edge.     Daisuke has a flutz and Jason has a flat edge in the lutz. The lutz video maker was wrong to include Daisuke and Jason. These videos are called "various flips/lutzes" and I think their point was to show different entries with different steps (I love Jason's with walley. Too bad Yuzu had to discard walley before 3Lz+3T in Chopin) I don't remember this very well: is there any of his performances with the walley I can check?

    While doing the Media Thread compilation for the 2016-2017 season, I came across reports that at the beginning of the season, before ACI even, the success rate of his 4Lo was not very high, and he still continued with it. And it took a bit to get the kinks out of the jump but by 4CC in February, he landed it in both programs (of course he messed up other stuff but...... we don't speak of it).

    I'm a Shoma fan, much more than some people here, and even I can't help but *facepalm* at his 4Lz talk (and wince at his 4F, when comparing it to Nathan's). I am, on the other hand, kind of in love with the 3A4T combo he was doing at practices.

    Ah... but when he was training the 4Lo in shows... it wasn't really needed in a program. 4S and 4T were sufficient for most and with Yuzu's two 3A combos in the second half, he had higher BV than anyone except maybe Javi. 2015 changed the landscape of the men's discipline, with juniors landing quads in their FS, Boyang doing 4Lz and clean 4-quad layouts in his first senior year... and Yuzuru breaking the scoring system... twice! A lot changed since the days he practiced 4Lo for fun. It's not the same environment at all.

    Hmmm, interesting layout. Btw Is it possible to have a layout without 4Lz that passes 110+ points in BV? Only with a -3Lo combo. But this would mean him needing to learn about 1-2 new difficult combos and make 4T1Lo3S consistent. He could add the -3Lo combo to the 3Lz if it's easier (same BV), but then the GOE modifier would be 0.7x instead of 1.
