Is it bad that I kinda want a wild Shin Amano to appear during Zamboni, slay the tech panel and take over? Like that there would be no way for Spidey to get called UR and not Vincent and Nathan

No there isn't* unless Kazuki and Shoms both place behind or near Keiji. Total of the two highest placements would have to be above what, 23? 26? For that to happen, and you know it won't unless Shoma really falls apart. Even if they end with about same placements as in sp or slightly lower, two spots are safe. Third one is at stake though.

Oh also slightly  but there are these two little Japanese boys (very adorable ) sitting next to us and they were coming back from the bathroom and saw people climbing over the seats to get to their place (we're in the last row). One of them looked over the seat, assessing the situation, and then looked at the other, dead serious, and said "muri da" and they went the normal way. I died of adorableness

Nah, there isn't, i just don't want to think about it bc that would be an absolute nightmare scenario. Both Kazuki and Shoma would have to do really, really bad for that to be a possibility. I just don't see Shoma messing up like that, even though he's got a bad foot.

oh,thanks for clarifying,i didn't know they take into account only the two highest placements,i thought they added all three placements,and i legit had a panic attack after keiji's skate

Do we know Shoma's planned layout?

Lol if that was the fact, Japan would have only two spots for Sochi, can you imagine? (For reference, all Japanese men were in top10 at sochi, with 1, 5 and eight place, I think?) And even with three spots, they still had a bloodbath at Nats like the Ladies had this year... dear me, that would be a nightmare

I'm already kinda terrified for Shoma tbh
