True, he's radiating with happiness!! I've never seen him happier than this time either in the past 4 years, everyone who supported him are all feeling ecstatic about this!! All three men are happy for each other, this is truly a blessing to see. 

 

Sidenote: Yuzuru's official photographer from Sendai should really release a photobook part 2 continued from last time, I would totally buy it.

re. news about yuzu's injury

Oh gosh Hanyu, you could wait one day before making my hair fall again 

I still want to think he isn't really feeling pain now, Brian said he had no pain and, even tho he&Yuzu are trolling lying liars, I don't think he lied to that exent. So, while it is certainly true Yuzuru has not recovered yet, not even at 50% maybe, I hope he hasn't done a Boston-like samurai thing.

Going from how happy and glowing he looked during practices, I do believe he was not in pain (and we know in the past he took painkillers but when pain was too much he couldn't rely only on painkillers or he wouldn't be able to skate as he wanted, so he beared at least part of the pain, but it showed a bit in the practices when he piced for the 4T, and this time it's his the right ankle, used for each jump, we would have seen an inkling of that *pain* here in PC...*reassuring herself becasue scared af*

and he tried the 4Lo, I don't think he would have done that if he had still felt pain in his ankle. He would have not jeopardized his ankle and all of his jumps for only one 4Lo.

But now I'm really need all those belated post-competition confessions to be released in articles and books or whatevar but just let us die cry know

 

ngl, if I manage to go to Milan (I have tickets but might not be able to go) I will be very sad if Yuzu won't be there, because I really want to see him do his stroking exercises in front of my eyes, just gliding and flying around and being a dorky sunshine like in PC practices (and in truth I'm looking forward to practices even more than competition), but if skipping Worlds is what he needs to be healthy and possibly keep skating competitively for a few more season (even just one would be good) I'll gladly take that. Tho I also believe that, if the issue is only getting some rest after the extremely intense training leading up to PC, and make sure his ankle is 100% all right, I think he will try his best to be in Milan as well, to help Shoma to bring home those 3 spots for next season Worlds in Japan. He wouldn't want Shoma to shoulder all the responsability, because without Yuzuru it's likely this is how it's gonna be. He trusts Shoma but he is also selfless and knows how hard it is to fight alone.

Also, I'll be sad if Javi won't go too I hope he can find a bit of motivation, I'm sure many fans are looking forward to watch him compete one last time, and it's quite close to Spain, too, so it's possible a contingent of spaniards is going to be there for him... (LOL, what is the life of skating fans, when distance becames so meaningless that you call "close" an event just because it's in the same continent and it's a few hours of plane away hey, it's even the same timezone!)

 

 

Anyway, I'm thinking about Brian saying with his knowing smirk: "Never underestimate Mr Hanyu!" (which is so true and sometimes so scary too, please protec the boy). And about Yuzu claiming "it doesn't matter who takes what medals, I'll get mine". He did

And about Yuzu being so soft with all his kohai (I mean the quads boys) and then even more soft with Shoma at the flower ceremony, and Yuzu leaning on Javi's shoulder and crying a little, and Javi being so fond and supporting him and Javi saying over and over again what a tough competitor Yuzu is, they both get so much strenght from each other, Yuzu getting emotional support (and beautiful 4S) and Javi learning how to be brave and I'm just going so soft and rambling

Also, how yuzuru smiled at the start of his SEIMEI choreo

 

and gosh as soon as I heard Seimei in the replay I started crying

 

Yuzuru's mind and Yuzuru's heart, those are what make him THE champion (and a precious human being). That's why he is now called the GOAT at the tender age of 23

I think in a way for me thats the best way to show that his ankle might not still be as bad as many think it is.

I have no doubt its not yet fully healed - but when I hurt my ankle last year, it's still not 100% now. But that for me wouldn't count as being fully injured anymore either. 

If he was still in a lot of pain or really concerned about his ankle would he have jumped on the podium twice?

Not just some. After the Mens FS medal ceremony, I think about 2/3 of the crowd at the Medals Plaza emptied out. Before that it was so crowded we could hardly move without bumping into someone. 

 

But we were so happy for Yuzu we really didn't mind being jostled around and freezing our fingers off in the cold lol.

Congrats for all the satellites who went to PC, saw him skate in person, cement his status as GOAT against all odds, and managed to stay alive.  Tough cookies man!
