This is an interesting chart for those who think that current skating is all technical and no PCS. If you look at the chart, Javi, Patrick and Yuzu are fairly 50/50 on the BV and the PCS, and what tips the scale to TES is really the GOE scores. However if you evaluate GOE scores as indication of the skater's overall package and polish (which affects the overall artistry and feel of the program), then you could argue that at least half of the top 6 have a good solid balance between the art and the technique. Among the new guys, Shoma has a decent balance too, and only Nathan in the FS has a very BV based lean in the scores. So again ISU, what the F*** are you guys so worried about? These charts indicate that most guys are actually decently balanced between BV (pure technique with no polish in consideration) and PCS.

xeyra
As promised, here's an update on the speculative layout table I posted back in page 33, with more current info. Blue - Confirmed layouts OR layouts tried in competition this season (more or less) Non-colored - Different options or mere possibilities, when uncertain Spoiler In Nathan's case I can't predict what he'll do in each competition, so I'm sticking with the 7-quad option in the predictions. In Shoma's case, I also can't really predict what he'll do either so I'm going for more than one possibility. Will Boyang upgrade his FS layout? Will Javier add a 4Lo? Stay tuned, this season is going to be a headache and a half! These may change as the season progresses, of course, because the Men are crazy. Then on top of that, he still needs to get better GOEs, but seeing his competitive track record, I don't see Nate getting perfect GOEs anytime soon. Has he ever received +3 GOEs on any jumps? My memory is that he has not, but could be wrong. As for breaking Yuzu's SP-I think Yuzu would break his own SP WR before he allows another guy to break it. And then if another guy breaks his WR, he'll just go and break the new guy's WR all over again. That is him in a nutshell.
