Thank you! Vaganova is a method of teaching ballet technique that teaches you to hold and move your fingers in a particular way. Soft and streamlined with 3 or 4 fingers showing and a natural line and natural movement from the wrist. Yuzu has these fingers. If you want to learn more about the particulars of Vaganova vs. Balanchine (which is more Nathan's syle of arm/hand movement), there's a bit of a discussion going on in the Team USA thread about that.

 

I took a couple of pre-ballet classes a couple of years ago and I remember they taught me the Vaganova fingers. Also, my mother, who did ballet when she was a teen, always told me that was the way to hold your fingers in ballet. I never knew there was a name to it, or that it wasn't the only way to do it c:

To think that Jeffrey did this program but also choreographed Chopin makes me amaze at how versatile Jeffrey's choreographic style is!

Has Jeff ever choreographed anything for Javi? I feel like his style would be a good match with Jeff's, going by this program.
