No, they claim that it was due to security concerns - only the athletes and their teams are allowed to stay at the hotel. Everyone else - ISU officials, media teams, family members (Yumi?) will have stay elsewhere. 

Basically, it has to do with the recent activities of phone terrorists who caused 100k people to be evacuated just a couple weeks ago. So... they want to prevent that sort of mishap. Fingers crossed the event itself goes undeterred. 

    I wonder will they let people into the hotel lobby now... really wanted to pass the time there between men's OP and competition, cuz no way I'm sitting at the arena the whole day from early morning (can of course go to the shopping center nearby but hotel lobby is more fun)

    FFKKR (email: [email protected] ) asked to send them all hanging banners for approval. Your letter should include a dummy/photo, banner dimensions and the exact place (block) where you want to hang it. If there are any foreign words on your banner they want to know what's written there :smile:

    I can see the men’s SP listed live on E2 on the eurosport.com website for Friday, so that’s at least conformation of sorts about Eurosport still owning the rights. 

    But no clue about the other three events that should be on the same day.

    The phone terrorists disrupted the studies at our uni today. So the reluctance of the Aerostar to let strangers into the hotel would be understandable...

    Looks like Eurosport don’t give a hoot about Rostelecom and we’re stuck with men’s SP and Ladies FS. :-(
