Guys this is an ice show, why would he want to perform his competition layout in an ice show??? He jumped 2 quads in an ice show was already weird enough... I thought he would only jump a solo quad toe or quad sal max lol

 

Call me psychic or so... I was correct that he would skate to Chopin... Now I am sure he will have a huge layout upgrade in both programs.

The Chopin news doesn't make me panic. It makes me disappointed. (Which might actually be worse.) If his reasoning is to go with a familiar program that makes him feel safe so he can upgrade his content without additional worries in order to skate clean and actually win stuff – by all means, more power to him, I can understand that. Still doesn't mean that I can't be disappointed about this threepeat and wonder how the FS news is gonna go down.

What was your guess on the LP? 

 

I guess I can understand Chopin, he wants to max his PCS for SP, and Chopin was the most rewarded amongst his recent SPs. Just...maybe a slight edit in the cuts of music maybe?

Ah, right... Hmm what are the chances the 4Lo was intended to be the combo and after popping he played it safe? And layout would be 4Lo combo, 3A and then maybe 4Lz? Then I could imagine adding 4Lz... and I think it'd be a big update, too, but probably risky...

well the new SP is by all means haven't been worked on I think, so no new costumes yet, no new choreo (aside from the change of jumps) but well.. we never know? I'm dissapointed as well but pretty sure he knows what he's doing so will wait and see how it will turn out!

He will skate to an old FS with some changes and you guys will be crushed even more.... 

Well honestly I don't think anything is set in the stone yet, we shall see... if he indeed will use Chopin 3.0 then I am sure the layout will be upgraded.

And this is still a sport so who cares if the program is new or not... as long as he wins, I am ok.

Hearing you say that makes me feel better. You always guessed right. I'm willing to forget about music cuts or choreo as long as the layout upgrades happen and increase his chances of winning. I'm curious and interested to know what you think... what do you think are the chances of a 4Lz in the SP?

Sooo I just saw the news and I'm pretty shocked. Tbh I prefer he repeats SP if that means he'll bring something new for the long, but I don't know how to feel about the program being Chopin. Chopin is definitely one of my favorites programs from him but I think even LGC would've been better (but I think he definitely wants to leave that program in the past). Anyway, I'm way more worried about his layout.

Jeff has been doing shows for 2 straight months so yes Yuzuru and Jeff haven't had the time for new choreography yet. They will have a new upgrade in both choreography and layout I think. They will work at it after FaOI.
